Ajijic Centro vacation rentals

This is a clean, comfortable apartment located in a gated community at the top of Paseo del Lago. Ideal for one or two people.It is older construction and there's no A/C, but Joel has provided a fan for those warm afternoons.It's about a 5-10 minute walk down to the carretera, For a long stay, you'll probably want some wheels: bus, bike rental, and rideshare apps all work well.There's no clothes dryer, but the host provides a rack to set your clothes outside to dry if you wish.I really liked the breeze blowing through the apartment from both directions and I got a lot of use out of the swimming pool (seasonally heated).The wifi signal is strong and the water truck stops by on Tuesdays.

When we checked in we were surprised that the listing pics (when we booked) seemed to have been taken prior to a major downstairs remodel. We were very pleased with what we saw. A wall has been removed to open up the main rooms downstairs and the kitchen has been remodeled. It makes for a comfortable, spacious, light, open floor plan as you enter. The furniture is comfortable and the unit is well stocked with whatever you need during your stay. The downstairs bed is comfortable, that is the only bedroom with A/C in case you need it. We did not use the 2 upstairs bedrooms, but beware that they do not have window coverings so you are not able to keep the morning light out. You might need an eye mask if that bothers you. Security is good and communication with managers/owner is good as well. The home is located in a neighborhood that is close to the central part of town, walking distance to everything you might need during your stay....restaurants, shops, market etc. It is a quiet neighborhood, but keep in mind that it still is Mexico so you will hear some barking dogs, roosters, music etc. It did not bother us at all, that is just the culture in Mexico. Internet was excellent as was TV reception. All in all we loved the convenience of the home's location and we were very comfortable during our 2 week stay. We would recommend it to others.

We spend most of our time up on the mirador or in the fountain garden below. The house is well appointed and nicely decorated. There is a built in water filter/purifier with a separate faucet for drinkable water at the kitchen sink so you don't have to worry about buying drinking water. The mirador on the roof is great with a screened in room and some sun lounges. There is even a bar area with a sink. The view of the mountains to the north and the lake to the south was very nice. We really enjoyed the ground level garden with beautiful plants and the fountain. The kitchen is modern and we found everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. Each bedroom has it's own full bath. One bedroom has a nice balcony porch. The internet service was good. We watched some Netflix on the TV using our personal account. There was no problem with streaming. We made use of the washer and dryer so we didn't bring back a big load of dirty clothes on the plane. The location is great! It is very walkable to the Ajijic Plaza, the malecon, and many shops and restaurants. Just a few blocks away was R.J's Gluten Free Cafe. Everything is gluten free. Two in our party were gluten sensitive and celiac. I'm not a fan of gluten free foods because they are usually have a strange texture and are dry and gritty. I am not gluten free but everything there was delicious. I looked forward to our frequent trips to R.J.'s and always took away a bag of cookies. We will stay here again!

We loved our stay. Fabulous location and wonderful property. Our host was very nice and communicated everything we needed to know about the property and loads of information on the Lake Chapala area.

A charming stay! The casa is the perfect get away. Safe, comfortable, and a convenient location. Rex is a wonderful host. Very enjoyable!

The house is very simple and clean with a great vibe. She spared no detail as the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms are fully stocked. The house has a beautiful garden area to relax in and the terrace has beautiful views of the mountains. A great place to hangout for sunrises and sunsets. We would definitely stay here again.

My stay here was nothing short of amazing!! The premise was very clean with great decor. It’s near many delicious restaurants and near the main road to visit the near towns. The hosts were very helpful in providing recommendations for food and places to visit during my stay. It was also very convenient to have a washer and dryer. Next time I return I will be bring less clothes. And there will be a next time!! I would highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit Ajijic!!

I just spent two months in the Mirador Loft. I can't say enough good things about it. I was very sad to leave. It is very comfortable, especially the bed and I am picky about beds. High quality pillows, too. The location was convenient walking distance to all of Ajijic. The views from the mirador are stunning, but there is even a peek-a-boo view to the lake from the living room. I even enjoyed the view of the mountains from the bathroom while I brushed my teeth 😁 Ramon is lightning fast with communications.
