Plenty of parking available. House was very clean and communication with host was excellent. Thought the code was for big garage door instead of small side door, but figured it out. Neighborhood was a concern for some of ourr party. Yard needed some work.

The inside of the house was freshly renovated & clean. The only thing we had concerns about was the neighborhood. A few of the houses on the street were very run-down. The neighborhood didn’t seem very safe. We were very glad we could park our cars in the garage.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you loved the pristine, renovated interior and garage. We lived here ourselves for months with zero issues, and objective safety data confirms our block sits in a secure, multi-block radius free of property crime. As the premier estate here, we have a tight-knit neighborhood watch with long-term residents who actively look out for the property. We engineered this home as a secure oasis: a private, oversized 2-car garage with direct interior access, plus front/back Ring cameras for 360° perimeter monitoring for absolute peace of mind.

The Gem City Farmhouse was such a beautiful home for myself and friends to stay while volunteering at the AMEN Free Clinic in Dayton, Ohio. The communication from the host and also the owner was impeccable! And the house looks in person just what you see in the pictures listed, very beautiful home, thank you again!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

I chose the Edgemont neighborhood for Storybook Stays because it serves as the ultimate 'Gateway to Dayton.' As an investor, I was drawn to this area’s unique ability to offer a quiet, residential retreat that is strategically positioned just minutes from the city's most iconic landmarks.

The Gem City Farmhouse sits just 2 miles from the University of Dayton and is a short, 10-minute drive to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. For families visiting for graduation, basketball games, or military assignments, this location eliminates the stress of long commutes.

What truly sold me on Tampa Ave was the 'Silent Zone' feel. It is a peaceful, established neighborhood where you can enjoy the 'Birthplace of Aviation'—being only 1.2 miles from the historic Wright Brothers sites—while having a calm, secure home base to return to each evening.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The Gem City Farmhouse is a premier Storybook Stays property designed for travelers who refuse to choose between professional standards and a 'home away from home' feel.

Spanning 1,600 square feet, this fully renovated farmhouse offers significantly more space than the average rental in the area.

Capcom Arcade System: Features classic hits like Street Fighter.

Retro Gaming Console: A nostalgic powerhouse with over 5,000 vintage titles.

Multi-Purpose Game Table: An interchangeable 3-in-1 table featuring Foosball, Pool (Billiards), and more.

Cards & Social Zone: A separate table with chairs dedicated to card games and board games.

For our 'Zero Stress' guests, we provide an oversized attached two-car garage. In Dayton, this is a major luxury—it ensures your vehicles stay secure and you never have to scrape ice or snow off a windshield. Outside, both the front and back yards provide a private space for kids to play and are monitored by external security cameras near the front an back entrances for your peace of mind.

With a 4BR/2BA layout that sleeps 8, we combine modern utility with the Storybook commitment: a meticulously checked, high-performance environment for your entire group.

There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom on each floor of the Gem City Farmhouse to maximize efficiency during your Storybook Stay.
