About Tina Sampath

Me and my husband are both employed in the biotech industry in the Bay Area- Calistoga is our escape from the fog in San Francisco! The Old Toll Road Inn is a dream come true for us - this will be our forever home when we retire.

Our German Shepherds Mesa & Wyatt are huge fans of our Calistoga 'Pine Cone House'.

Tina Sampath purchased this house in 2013

Why Tina Sampath chose Napa County

Our house provides the best of both worlds- Napa by day, be in downtown Calistoga within minutes where you'll find multiple highly rated restaurants and shops. Enjoy serenity/privacy by night with amazing views from 2 decks.

What makes this house unique

We love the history of Old Lawley Toll Road, a wagon trail to the old mining town of Silverado (made famous in Robert Louis Stephenson's The Silverado Squatters.) Unlike other parts of Calistoga, our home features pure mountain spring water - no sulfur smell!

Beautiful property and views!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house the first week in October! The views were phenomenal and the house wonderfully appointed for our family and friends visit to Napa Valley. We recommend it to any group of 8. The kitchen was completely outfitted for anything we needed to cook dinner in and could have dinner outside on the deck or inside which accommodated all of us. It was convenient short drive to Calistoga to get our provisions or to dine out in the wonderful restaurants. Thank-you for your hospitality.

Great place to enjoy time with family or friends

  • 5 of 5

My sister, brother and our spouses met in CA for vacation. We stayed at the Old Toll Road Inn. The property is very secluded, quiet and has gorgeous views. The house itself was very nice and comfortable. There is plenty of inside and outside seating. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need to make anything you want. Tina was a great hostess and made us feel very welcome. The family wineries in the immediate area are great. There is also easy access to all of Napa and Sonoma. We all agreed it was the perfect place to stay.

A Wonderful Visit

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautifully designed home for a large family or couples to share when visiting wine country. Our group of seven found it to be very spacious, comfortable, clean and fully equipped with great appliances. The views from the property are stunning, especially at sunrise. Lastly, the owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating topping off a great experience. We can't wait to return.

Gorgeous views from this beautiful mountain home in Calistoga wine country.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of eight adults had a very comfortable stay at this beautiful mountain home. The views from the huge windows are breathtaking. Tina the owner communicated effectively with us and supplied the home with loving care for our stay. The kitchen is ready to go with room for families who love to cook together like ours. We appreciated all of her helpful guides and the lovely gift basket. This mountain home is close to great restaurants, shops and wineries. I would definitely recommend this home for those wanting to explore the wine country.

The Old Toll Road home was perfect for our Family Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

It was perfect for our two daughters (grown), their guys and two dogs. It was remote enough to give us privacy and great walks along the Old Toll Road, yet close enough to pop out and do daily day trips. The home was extremely well stocked and very conducive to our home cooked Thanksgiving day dinner. The living room was very comfortable as we all settled in for our "spots" for movies and football. Each couple had just enough privacy with the rooms / bathrooms. The owners and caretakers were simply great. The property was exactly as advertised. We highly recommend this home.
