Acerca de este alojamiento
The Mystic Inn | Wine and Cheese Shop Downstairs | Downtown LG
Welcome to The Mystic Inn, a character-filled 3-bedroom vacation rental located on the second floor of a beautifully restored 1910 building in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva. Combining historic charm, walkable convenience, and one of the most unique locations in town, this stay offers an experience that feels distinctly Lake Geneva.
Located directly above Eight Maids Cheese Shop and Wine Bar, guests have immediate access to one of downtown's favorite spots for curated wines, artisan cheeses, small plates, and relaxed evenings. Having a wine and cheese bar literally one staircase away is the kind of detail that turns a weekend getaway into something memorable.
Inside, The Mystic Inn embraces the warmth and character of the original historic building while offering the modern comforts guests expect. Original hardwood floors, dark wood trim, vintage doors, and preserved architectural details create an inviting atmosphere throughout the apartment.
The space includes three comfortable bedrooms featuring one king bedroom and two queen bedrooms, accommodating up to six guests. The full bathroom includes a walk-in shower, while the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living and dining area provide everything needed for relaxing after a day exploring downtown Lake Geneva.

• Bedroom 3 – Queen Bed
Maximum Occupancy: 6 Guests
One of the most unique aspects of The Mystic Inn is the building's connection to Lake Geneva history. 723 Williams Street originally served as the headquarters of TSR Hobbies, founded by Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons & Dragons. The second floor of the building — now home to The Mystic Inn — once served as the creative workspace where early Dungeons & Dragons materials were developed. Today, the building remains a recognized stop on Lake Geneva's Adventurer's Map and sits at the center of the city's tabletop gaming history, especially during the annual Gary Con convention.
Even for guests unfamiliar with gaming culture, the history adds a fascinating and uniquely local layer to the experience.
The location is hard to beat. The lakefront, Riviera, beaches, restaurants, boutiques, bars, coffee shops, and downtown attractions are all within roughly a 10-minute walk, making it easy to enjoy Lake Geneva without constantly needing your vehicle.
The Mystic Inn is ideal for couples' trips, girls' weekends, small bachelorette groups, family getaways, history lovers, and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiasts alike — all looking for a downtown stay with personality, comfort, and unmatched walkability.
Please Note
• Eight Maids Cheese Shop and Wine Bar operates on the first floor during business hours, and some daytime activity or noise may occasionally be present
• Exterior and entry security cameras are present for safety and security purposes
• No parties or events allowed
• Maximum occupancy is strictly limited to 6 guests
