Nestled on the Sheepscot River, this house and detached guest home boast a stunning waterfront location! A private beach makes it easy to enjoy tide pools and sunsets. Enjoy water views from nearly every room. Gather on the riverside deck to share alfresco meals or admire breathtaking sunset views over the water. The desirable location is just a short walk away from the Hendricks Head Lighthouse and Preserve.

A wood-burning fireplace creates inviting allure in the main house's living area. Relax on down-filled sofas and cast your favorite apps. On quiet afternoons, select a book from the well-stocked shelves. Whip up delicious dishes in the kitchen, appointed with an array of helpful gadgets. You'll find two tables in the dining area.

The primary bedroom holds an L-shaped desk for a convenient workspace.

The guesthouse has large windows that provide excellent views of the river in the living area. Handy highlights of the kitchenette include a mini-fridge, a two-burner electric stove, and an instant kettle. Sip coffee at the small table. There is a sleeping area and a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Gorgeous location with beautiful water views. Unfortunately the interior of the house is tired--perhaps from a busy summer. The house smelled musty, the master bedroom carpet had multiple stains, the mattress was saggy, pillows lumpy, and the bed linens were worn. The bathroom, kitchen and living room were clean and we enjoyed the views of the water from the living room, kitchen and when on the deck.

Deep Cove Cabin was an awesome quiet, private and relaxing stay in Southport. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, living area very cozy and the fireplace worked great. Although we didn’t stay in the smaller cabin, it looked very cozy with the bed facing the ocean. So quiet at night with the sound of waves to sleep by. Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back. Beautiful in the Fall!

Delightful property

My husband and I needed to ‘get away’ and this home provided cozy comforting decor, warmth, privacy and a great view. Bathroom tiny, but big enough for us two. We did not use the guest cottage. We would love to come back.

Very relaxing!

We loved the house and property! The house is rustic but was very clean and the check in process was a breeze. The property is amazing, right on the ocean. We walked down to the ocean easily and listened to the waves all night. You can also walk to Hendricks Head beach and Southport General Store from the house. It’s a lovely area. Description of the house is very accurate. Thanks for a great stay!

Private spot with easy access to the Harbor

We loved this place and hope to come back. Nestled in the trees with daily sunset shows, it is a beautiful spot to get away. You can walk to the General Store which has pretty much everything you need, walk to the beach (although both were more of a bike ride for me). That said, you can drive to Boothbay Harbor in about 15 mins. Perfect combination of peace and fun. Loved it. The 2 house set up allowed a 2nd couple privacy.

Easy access property! Very private! The notes specify no A/C but it does not mention heat. There are baseboard electric heaters in the main house and cabin.

Labor Day in Maine

Loved the island of Southport and location of the house House faces west so we had great sunsets and it was so nice To spend the end Of the day on the Porch. The kitchen was small but just what you would expect in a Maine cabin except had all we needed especially a dishwasher, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, toaster microwave, oven, lots of utensils. The main space is big and great to relax in all times of day. We even had a real fire in the fireplace. We had spectacular weather so didnt need to spend a lot inside. The beach is right down the street so went swimming there and put our kayak in there. Spent a fun Labor Day weekend with 2 families up To 7 of us comfortably

Picturesque Waterfront Maine Retreat

This cute home is down a long dirt driveway through a pine and moss forest. This is a quiet location in a simple and old fashioned Maine home on a beautiful rocky beach. The pictures are accurate and the bright living and dining area overlook the ocean. It's the perfect spot to watch the sun go down and see lobster boats haul traps. We had a couple of small issues. The locks on all the doors are not easy to use and took us a few tries to get into the place. There were no instructions on how to get into the little cottage. We had to call Vacasa, We got a call back from a caretaker who was very nice and let us know what to do. The main house smells a little musty probably from being closed up all winter. We couldn't get the TV to work either but we enjoyed just being there and playing some board games. We tried to use the fireplace but the wood was too damp and wouldn't 'burn. However, the place is charming and has an old Maine feel where life is simple and easygoing. A grill would be an excellent addition on the deck. The Southport general store and the beach/lighthouse is a short walk away. We throughly enjoyed it and would go back.
