About this property

Year Round Luxury Waterfront Condo, Heart of Boothbay Harbor

Portside is a luxury condo with the charm of a cottage on the ground floor of the 3-unit Back Bay Cottage, built in 2006. We have 2 bedrooms (each with a king bed), plus a den with a trundle bed, so we can accommodate up to 6 people.

We are next to the Chowder House and kayak and bike rentals and just one block from the footbridge. The cottage is in the heart of the harbor and yet you will find tranquility and privacy inside. Over thirty coffee shops and restaurants and numerous shops are within an easy walking distance, including many places open year round.

Portside shares a dock and float with the other two Back Bay Cottage units and has its own deck on the water’s edge. Comforts include state-of-the-art kitchen and appliances, gas fireplace, gas grill, flat screen TVs, a wine cooler, Wi-Fi and free reserved parking. All linens, towels and basic condiments provided.

Our stay at Back Bay Cottage, Portside was amazing! Working with Abby was great and she was so helpful with questions and took care of everything down to the smallest detail. The cottage is stunning and we did not want to leave. The scenery and comfy interior provided the quiet calm we needed for this visit. Thank you so much! Can't wait to come when the temps are a bit warmer!

I instantly fell in love with the cottage! Its charm is top notch and it has great views of the bay. My husband and I, as well as our friends, all felt right at home. Our parking spot was big enough for my husband's truck which we didn't need to use much because the cottage is within walking distance to all of the great restaurants and super cute stores!

We were so impressed with the in-town location (truly walk to restaurants and shops) while also being literally on the water! The deck and dock were a dream to sit outside and have our morning coffee and evening wine.The home is pristine with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.Abby was a wonderful host, providing a wealth of information ahead of our arrival. We were impressed by her thoughtful welcome basket of local wine and blueberry jam (and the invitation to get a a tin of our favorite flavor of Coastal Maine Popcorn).We would absolutely return to the beautiful condo again!

I hesitate to review!

This is one of those reviews that I almost hate to leave because the selfish part of me doesn’t want too many people to find out about this amazing place! There is nothing that is not incredible about the condo, view, setup, location. Wow.

Great family stay

My wife and I stayed in this lovely, well appointed and conveniently located condo with our two year old son and my parents. Everyone had plenty of room. The place offered a great combination of classic style and quaintness appropriate for the location while still offering the amenities and comfort of a modern home.

Wonderful weekend

My elderly mother and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Back Bay Cottage - Portside. Mom did needlework, read and enjoyed the view and being right on the water(!). I was able to easily explore all that Boothbay Harbor has to offer, all within walking distance. We loved it so much that we reserved a weekend in May in 2023.

Wonderful Property

The location of the property could not have been better. Right in the middle of Boothbay within walking distance to all the amenities. The condo was very clean and cozy with comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. The back patio and floating dock made for a great place to relax and enjoy the harbor atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time we visit Boothbay.

Best location

You cannot beat the location of this property. It is right in the town of Boothbay Harbor and also on the water. You can walk to restaurants, shops and tours. The host was very friendly and had so much helpful information for us. The home had everything we needed and more. We will come back and book this place again.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our stay was just perfect! Abby was so helpful and quick to respond to questions. The home is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. You can't beat the water view and location to town - a real gem. We loved everything about this lovely home, especially Abby’s kindness and attentiveness to details. Can't wait to return.

Loved our stay

We loved our stay at Back Bay Cottage - Portside! The location is awesome; its very walkable but it also feels tucked away. We loved sitting on the dock, getting ice cream at the Downeast Ice Cream Factory, and comparing Lobster rolls sold around town. The kids enjoyed Barrett's Park, Ocean Point Beach, and Hendrick's Head Beach and we appreciated that there were beach towels, toys, and camp chairs available for our use. We also enjoyed hanging around Cottage. It is easy to relax there, the kitchen is well supplied, and the views are great. We hope to be back!
