Historic home steps from the harbor with enclosed porches & gorgeous deck
A local landmark with nearly two centuries of history, the lovely Norwood Curtis House provides a unique and charming setting for experiencing the beauties of Camden. Stroll to wonderful restaurants and shops in the heart of town, catch sunrises and sunsets at the picturesque harbor, and listen to the sounds of music wafting up from the amphitheater in summer.
This two-story home dates back to 1846, nestled within the High Street Historic District of beautiful downtown Camden. Once the home and workplace of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo ('Empire Falls'), the property now sits adjacent to the grounds of the town's library and amphitheater. When you're not exploring on foot, you'll be perfectly placed to visit Camden Hills State Park, Camden Snow Bowl, Rockport, and Rockland - all within eight miles.
The house has been thoughtfully furnished with relaxation in mind. Original details - including built-in cabinetry in the dining room - are interspersed with such modern comforts as new kitchen appliances (including an induction range that's great for lobster pots), spacious bedrooms overlooking Mt. Battie, and a home office with high-speed WiFi.
When you're looking to unwind, take your pick of three enclosed porches - one where you can sip your morning coffee with a view of the street, a second that serves as both the home office and a sitting area, and a third upstairs that acts as an additional sleeping space overlooking the yard. Between these and the living room, the large dining room, the kitchen, and the outdoor deck (with a gas grill) draped in vines, you'll have ample space to gather with loved ones.
At night, find one bedroom - along with a wonderful collection of books - on the first floor. There are three more bedrooms upstairs in addition to the window-lined sleeping porch, which is accessed through the primary bedroom.
Things to Know The laundry room is shared with a tenant who lives in the attached carriage house. Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. This house is pure heaven.it has everything you could ever need in this house. It is decorated beautifully. The best part of this house is you will see the most beautiful sunsets and sunrise. I wish we had been there more than 3 days. We will be back.
What a unique and special home at Boothbay’s Ocean Point. Incredible views on three sides.

Ocean Point Beauty
We loved spending the week in this beautifully appointed house with plenty of room for everyone. Being right on the ocean offered views, tranquility and fun on the rocks for everyone. Ocean Point is a wonderful community that offers that small neighborhood feel with lots of activities close by to interest all ages.

Amazing place
Just an absolutely amazing vacation! Such a beautiful location and so much to do!
The location is perfect! We were in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood on Boothbay. We enjoyed views from the windows all around the house. The house's interior is very comfortable and tastefully decorated to reflect the charm of the area. We had a few concerns, which we reported, but which were not addressed while we were still there. If not for those concerns, we would give this home a 5. We would definitely return in the future.

Relaxing Stay
This is the 4th time staying here in the off-season and it is very peaceful and relaxing. The house is very comfortable and the views cannot be beat. Great job with all the improvements.
Situated at the end of Ocean Point, this house has fantastic views and is so close to the ocean that we could hear the rhythmic sound of the surf all night long. The house is also extremely tastefully designed throughout, making it seem much more like a dream home than a holiday cottage. Overall, it's one of the nicest places we've stayed, and we hope to be able to return for another visit.
This trip to this home exceeded our expectations. The view, location and lovely home made this a trip we will always remember!

Restful stay on the coast
The house is beautifully architected and tastefully decorated. The views are outstanding, 180 degrees of the ocean. Even in November there are still restaurants and shops open in Boothbay.

Stay in May
We really loved being able to sit in the family room and play games and put together puzzles with a panoramic view of the ocean. Also even when raining sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the morning was great!
The property is very nice and very comfortable. Excellent location for coast and surf watching. Much of Boothbay is closed in winter, but we knew that and very much enjoyed the solitude. Would definitely stay here again!
