The house was beautiful inside and out. Each room had special features that made the house feel like home. The outside views were breathtaking. My sons enjoyed the trout pond while my husband and I enjoyed the views on the property. The owner was very fast with all responses, and the check-in and check-out process was super easy. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
We stayed here for four nights with our three teenage sons and would definitely return. We were looking for an escape that would be away from the busyness of national parks, yet close enough to a wide variety of activities. Magnolia Reserve provided exactly that. Beautiful views of the continental divide from the deck and hot tub, a clean house with room to give each other space and proximity to hikes, stores and more modern activities in Boulder and beyond. The home itself was very well represented in the photos. It is classy, clean, cozy and the owners have thought of every detail we needed including fans, blankets and plenty of towels for both the hot tub and bathrooms. Owners were very responsive to communication both prebooking and during our stay.We enjoyed the short hike up Tungsten Mountain behind the house on day 1 as we acclimated to the higher elevation. Day 2 we took the Hessie to Lost Lake trail, with a side adventure early on to follow the stream instead of the main path. Soaking in the sunset over the still snow-capped mountains while sitting in the hot tub was certainly a nice end to each day. On our final day we drove the 45 minutes to Golden, rented e-bikes and rode to check out Red Rock Amphitheatre and back. While this isn't a criticism, just be aware that in some ways this home is remote (very limited road signage to find it and no neighbors) but in other ways you're still close to Nederland and can hear the peak to peak highway on occasion.
