About the host
Hosted by Brandi Cardwell
I'm a native Hoosier turned Michigander by way of Missouri, Colorado, and California. I have a huge appreciation for state and national parks, The Great Lakes, cool tourist towns, and the amazing Michiana area / Harbor Country. This area was right up our alley when our family moved here 10 years ago from the wonderful west coast. If you love beautiful beaches, fresh water, and nature, you'll love (or love) this place too! P.S. This is "Bird Town USA" so if you're a birder, this is a great spot for bird watching!
Why they chose this property
We love our house in the dunes! We absolutely love living close to a national park AND a state park, plus our beaches are wonderful.
What makes this property unique
Our cape cod style house sits on a dune. If stairs aren't your thing, this might be a tough house to visit because there are several stairs! I love sitting on the back deck or in the hot tub when it's chilly outside. Aside from visiting the parks, I also enjoying visiting Beverly Shores for cute shops, a great restaurant with a nice patio, ice cream shops, and on the weekends you'll often find a food truck. I also enjoy visiting downtown Michigan City where you'll find some great vintage shops and several restaurants. I'll leave a guide with some of my favorites!
