Scandinavian design, abundant natural light, high ceilings, and a stocked galley kitchen that is just minutes from shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, and local attractions. Walkable to downtown Ballard, the year-round farmer's market, and the local movie theater! Early check-in and late check-out times.

Vennen House was a perfect find for our family of four adults! It was charming, comfortable, clean, spacious, and is located in a quiet area which was convenient for all of our activities with relatives nearby. We had a very busy extended weekend in Seattle. Each evening, we looked forward to relaxing on the back deck and playing Uno or Yahtzee with our two daughters...which we hadn't done together in YEARS! It was also a peaceful place to start each day. I loved using the yoga room for my morning stretches. We enjoyed keeping the skylights open for our entire stay -- and the master bed provided us with three very restful nights of sleep! (The girls slept well, too. :)Kristin and Damon were fabulous hosts! In addition to being excellent communicators, they kept the house well stocked with necessities (and more). They even gifted us a local treat which we shared with extended family on an outing to Fort Casey. This special touch reinforced the nostalgia of staying in my husband's Scandinavian grandparents' home years ago. Pricing, off-street parking, and early check-in/late check-out times also contributed to a wonderful experience. We will definitely check on the availability of Vennen House for our next visit to the area!

The hosts went out of their way to make our stay a truly 5 star experience. The location was excellent, the house was impeccable, and we were allowed to extend our stay at the last minute to enjoy a few extra days with our new grandson. The hosts were so thoughtful in providing everything one could have hoped for and then some!We would recommend this home to anyone and we will stay there again on our next visit to Seattle.
