Nature and tranquillity - in a historic thatched farmhouse with a large garden

Malzow is a small, idyllically situated former farming village in the Stepenitz and Maurine lowlands, not far from Lake Dassow and the Baltic Sea beaches of Lübeck Bay, at the entrance to the Klützer Winkel. In our authentic Mecklenburg hall house from 1837, the “Malzower Reethuus,” we rent out three stylish, cozy vacation apartments. The original half-timbered construction is visible throughout and gives the house its particularly charming character. The “Mansarde” is a cozy two-room apartment “under the roof,” designed to accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The apartment has a special charm. Half-timbered walls, old wooden floorboards, and historic doors—here you can still feel the rustic, cozy atmosphere of the old farmhouse. Through the large windows, you have a magnificent view over the garden and into the distance. You can set up the apartment’s included patio furniture in the garden wherever you like best. In the spacious bathroom with a corner bathtub, you can unwind and let your day come to a relaxing close. The lush garden is available for you to relax, play, and barbecue. Forget about everyday life, enjoy nature, and recharge—at the Malzower Reethuus, you’ll find peace and quiet. Bike rides and hikes through the stunning landscapes of northwestern Mecklenburg, day trips to the Baltic Sea, city breaks to Lübeck, Wismar, Schwerin, or even Hamburg, or a concert at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival at Bothmer Castle near Klütz—all of this is possible from here.
