About this property
Tiny House on Ranch · Stargazing + Fire Pit
Step off the front porch of La Casa Noche and the whole Colorado sky opens up above you. No streetlights. No neighbors. Just a working ranch rolling into Pike National Forest and more stars than you've ever counted. The gas fire pit crackles in front of you. Tomorrow you could saddle up at sunrise, grill your catch on the back patio, or chase world-class trout at 11 Mile Canyon. Tonight, you're just going to look up.
The outdoor story is where La Casa Noche earns its name. Out front, a gas fire pit anchors a wide-open stretch of Colorado sky — this is where your evenings begin. Pull up a chair, pour something cold, and let your eyes adjust. The M Lazy C Ranch spreads in every direction around you: working land, open sky, Pike National Forest starting right where the fence line ends. Some nights you'll hear cattle somewhere out in the dark. Some nights it's just the fire.
Out back, the private patio is built for mornings. Two chairs face the mountains, and a full propane grill is staged and ready — for whatever you pulled from the river, picked up at the market, or just felt like cooking at altitude. A patio heater keeps things going when the evenings cool fast, which in Colorado, they always do.
Inside, the tiny house is smarter than its square footage lets on. The living room is the kind of space that makes you stop unpacking and just sit down — warm, unhurried, exactly right. The galley kitchen is set up for actual cooking — not just reheating — and the butler pantry behind it adds real storage and prep space, a rarity in tiny-house builds.
At a glance:
- This property requires a signed renters agreement, ID verification, and either a paid damage waiver or security deposit, see the end of the description for more info :)
- Sleeping: queen bed (main) + queen in loft + pull-out sofa
- Kitchen: full galley + butler pantry, coffee maker, all essentials
- Outdoor: gas fire pit · propane grill · patio heater
- Entertainment: Smart TV (streaming) · board games & cards
The main bedroom holds a queen bed, properly made. Up the stairs, the loft tucks a second queen under a low ceiling that makes it feel private and nestled — ideal for couples or kids who don't mind the cozy clearance. If you need stand-up headroom, the loft isn't your spot; if you want to fall asleep feeling like you're in a tree house, it's exactly right.
And beyond the front door: the ranch itself. Horseback riding, hay rides, and a shooting range are all available through M Lazy C. The South Platte River is minutes away; 11 Mile Reservoir — one of Colorado's most celebrated fishing spots — is less than 20 minutes down the road.
WHERE YOU'LL BE
Lake George sits in the South Platte River valley — remote enough for genuine dark skies, close enough to world-class fishing that you could be on the water by 8am.
Eleven Mile Canyon (15 min) — Nine miles of canyon carved by the South Platte, with some of the best fly fishing in Colorado. Trout average 17 inches; 20-plus-inch fish are common.
Eleven Mile State Park & Reservoir (20 min) — Boating, camping, and a reservoir stocked with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout plus kokanee salmon and northern pike. Five miles of hiking trails.
Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument (15 min) — Ancient fossilized redwoods and insects from 34 million years ago. An easy afternoon, especially with kids.
Pike National Forest — at your back fence. Hiking, rock climbing, and wildlife viewing without getting in the car.
Spinney Mountain State Park (25 min) — Gold Medal fishing waters with trophy pike and trout.
South Platte River — minutes from the front gate. Walk-in access to one of Colorado's most storied trout rivers.
Cripple Creek (35 min) — Colorado's historic Gold Rush town with the Mollie Kathleen Mine tour and Victorian storefronts.
Colorado Springs (45 min) — Full city amenities, restaurants, grocery, REI — when you need them.
ATV & OHV Riding — The roads surrounding the ranch are popular ATV and off-road vehicle territory. Trailer in and ride. It's the kind of terrain that's hard to find this close to a comfortable bed.
WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
For the angler who planned this trip six months ago. You've been eyeing 11 Mile Canyon since a friend sent you a photo of a 22-inch brown he pulled out in October. You want a real kitchen to clean your catch, a grill ready to go, and a place to wind down that doesn't feel like a motel. La Casa Noche is that place — the South Platte is minutes from the gate, 11 Mile Canyon is 15 minutes, and the back patio grill is waiting.
For the couple who needs to actually unplug. You've booked "remote" before and ended up with neighbors 30 feet away. This is a working ranch on the edge of national forest. No one is next door. You light the gas fire pit out front, pour something cold, and the night belongs to you. The sky out here is legitimately dark — no light pollution, no noise, just stars and each other.
For the family that wants a real Colorado adventure. The kids can saddle up through M Lazy C, take a hay ride, and try the shooting range — all without getting in the car. When they're worn out, board games and a warm couch are waiting inside. The loft is perfect for kids who want their own space. Parents get the main bedroom, everyone sleeps well.
For the hunter or outdoorsperson using this as a base. Mule Creek Outfitters runs guided hunts in the area. Pike National Forest is literally at the back fence. You need a place where you can come back muddy, pack your gear, and not worry about it. The ranch setting gets it.
For the stargazer who's been waiting for a clear sky. The name says it all. La Casa Noche — The Night House. Lake George sits at elevation, away from city glow, in a valley that was made for this. Bring a blanket, claim the fire pit, and look up.
GUEST ACCESS & PARKING

Unlimited parking on-site. Pull right up to the house — no tight lots, no parking passes. Room for trucks with boat trailers, multiple vehicles, and anything else you're hauling in from the trail or the river.

The optional damage waiver is $43 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
