Haus Maria is located on a quiet side street in Schönau am Königssee and boasts a central location right in the heart of town. Within a few minutes’ walk, you’ll find a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bakery, and a butcher shop, as well as the town center with a bank and a small spa garden. Numerous restaurants and inns are also in the immediate vicinity and are easily accessible on foot.

Many hiking and walking trails start right from our house. The bus stop on the main street is only about a minute away and offers ideal connections for excursions throughout the region. The view of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking and puts you in a vacation mood from the very first moment.

The lovingly furnished Romy and Magda vacation apartments offer you a cozy home away from home. For a relaxed start to the day, you can order fresh rolls for the apartments, which are delivered daily.

Free parking is available right in front of the house for each vacation apartment. Of course, free Wi-Fi is also included throughout the building.

Our beautiful Romy vacation apartment is located on the first floor of our Haus Maria and features a living-dining area, a separate bedroom with a large closet, and a spacious bathroom with a shower. From the living room and the bedroom, you can step out onto the large sunny balcony—equipped with a table, chairs, and a lounge chair. Here, you can truly unwind while enjoying the view of the surrounding mountains. The spacious kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, and all cooking utensils. The large dining table is perfect for breakfast or a hearty snack in the evening. The cozy corner sofa and flat-screen TV round out the comfortable living room.
Schönau am Königssee is located in the heart of the Berchtesgadener Land region and right next to Berchtesgaden National Park. Its unique setting among imposing mountains, green meadows, and clear mountain lakes makes the town an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

The striking Watzmann mountain dominates the landscape and offers numerous hiking and mountaineering trails for every skill level.

Many hiking and walking trails start right at the doorstep of Haus Maria. Whether it’s leisurely valley hikes, scenic high-altitude trails, or challenging mountain tours—there’s a route here for everyone. Cyclists and e-bike riders will also find plenty to enjoy.

Other popular destinations in the area include the Jenner with its aerial cableway and panoramic views, the Wimbach Gorge, the idyllic Hintersee, and nearby Ramsau with the St. Sebastian parish church. In winter
