About the Accommodation

Located in sunny Amden above the village centre, Haus Gmür has two private guest rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. A familiar, uncomplicated stay awaits you here, in the spirit of - meet the locals. The guest rooms are in the private household, the bathroom is shared by the users of both rooms. The kitchen and living area are shared with the landlord and the users of both rooms.
The room, with a living space of around 15 square metres, faces east and was built in 2001. It impresses with its modern furnishings, wooden floor and warm colours, which create a cozy atmosphere. Equipped with a spacious double bed (180 x 200 cm), which can be converted into two single beds (90 x 200 cm each) as required, as well as bedside tables, it offers plenty of comfort. A TV, a table with chairs, underfloor heating, a Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle provide entertainment and coziness. The shared bathroom, equipped with a shower, WC and underfloor heating, is located on the same floor and promises pleasant warmth. The room also has direct access to the living room and the kitchen, which leaves nothing to be desired: With all the useful kitchen utensils, a fridge with freezer compartment, a ceramic hob and another Nespresso coffee machine, it is ideally equipped for preparing meals. Children will have fun on the trampoline and in the small pool (only provided during summer). Two car parking spaces are available in front of the house. This is a non-smoking vacation room. Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the house, so guests can always stay online. This cozy and well-equipped accommodation offers everything you need for a pleasant stay.

If you are looking for an alpine climate but don't want to miss out on the southern beach atmosphere, Amden Weesen is just the place for you. Situated between the mountain peaks of Leistchamm and Speer, Amden is the ideal place for a varied summer holiday. There are wonderful hiking trails for every taste, from leisurely to sporty. You can enjoy wonderful panoramic views on entertaining family hikes and numerous vantage points. Just a few hundred metres from the house is the Mattstock chairlift, which takes you to the nearby hiking area in a relaxed manner. Cozy bathing bays by the mountain stream or Lake Walensee make the summer feeling perfect. The lovingly designed children's playground at Rombach and the family-friendly indoor swimming pool are within walking distance of the flat. In winter, Amden and Arvenbüel are popular ski resorts for families. The renowned Swiss ski school awaits you in the Arvenbüel district, just a few minutes away by car or the free ski bus. There are numerous winter hiking trails and snowshoe routes in the magical winter landscape around the Flügenspitz. Amden is also ideally located for exploring various regions. Whether the cities of Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne and Chur or the leisure regions of Heidiland, Glarnerland and Lake Zurich - everything can be reached in a short time by public transport or car. Our tip: The sunrise on the Mattstogg (also known as Mattstock). Set off early enough to make sure you reach the summit on time. The experience is unrivalled.
