"Gîte de l'Epine", 4-room house 135 m2 on 2 levels. Comfortable and cosy furnishings: living room with open-hearth fireplace, TV and DVD. Exit to the terrace. Open kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine). Exit to the garden. Shower/WC. Upper floor: 1 room with sloping ceilings with 1 french bed (160 cm, length 200 cm). 2 rooms with sloping ceilings, each room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 190 cm). Bathroom, sep. WC, double hand-basin. Heating. Facilities: washing machine, iron, children's high chair, baby cot. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smoking house. Maximum 1 pet/ dog allowed. Smoke alarm. Very complete holiday home, large, clean, Nice garden and friendly host. The village was perfect good bakers rond the corner and a small shopping centre with a bikers, butchers,wine shop and delicatessen 10 mins walk. Caen was 10 min drive. Beaches and sightseeing also a short drive. ,

A perfect place for a perfect holiday

Centrally located in Basse Normandy, a few kilometers north of Caen, it's the perfect place for a holiday. The beach is 17 minutes away, you can walk to the baker within a few minutes. Every Tuesday the pizza baker is in the village. A traiteur and really good shops at 2 minutes by car. The racecourse is also 20 minutes. The house itself is fine. Good bed, nice garden with fence. You have optimum privacy, but when there are problems the owner is closeby.

A perfect stay...

The converted farm building was comfortable, spacious and modern. The owner spoke good English if your French is not great! Kitchen facilities were excellent. Toilets and showers on both floors. Polished tiles on the ground floor and bare floorboards upstairs help keep everything clean, but are worth noting if you're a bit unsure on your feet. Small, enclosed, private garden, with plenty of seating. Off road parking along the side of the property. Two friendly Labrador dogs from the farm were occasional visitors and although discouraged by the farm owners, they were very welcome! Cambes en Plaine is a very small, very quiet village, with a supermarket (which was closed during the week we visited in August), bakery, hairdresser and post office, so you need to travel for any major shopping. That said, Caen, the nearest town, is only 15 minutes away and features a great market on Sundays. There is also a large supermarket on the way into Caen. Overall, this accommodation was perfect for our family of four and we would have no hesitation in returning another year.

Ons tweede huis

In 2023 kwamen we voor het eerst in Cambes-en-Plaine. 3 weken. Daarna gingen we tweemaal per jaar en telkens een week langer. Het voelt echt als ons tweede huis. Alle faciliteiten die je maar wilt hebben. Laurence, de eigenares, luistert ook goed naar haar klanten. Zo is de wifi verbeterd. Alles is dichtbij: winkels, zwembad, de stad, het strand, paarden, terwijl het huis en het dorp een oase van rust zijn. Van harte aanbevolen.

Topwoning!

Wij komen hier al vele jaren enkele weken. Zowel in het voor- als het najaar. Werkelijk perfect. Fijn huis met goede wifi, alle benodigde faciliteiten en een heerlijke afgezette tuin (fijn voor de honden). Aan de rand van het dorp, maar op 300 meter lopen van de bakker en de supermarkt. Heel mooie omgeving, enerzijds op 20 minuten van het strand, anderzijds op een paar minuten van een winkelcentrum. Centraal gelegen in de Calvados. Wij kunnen niets beters vinden. Eigenaar woont ernaast, is top.

Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Alle comfort aanwezig. Naast boerderij, maar veel privacy. Zeker geen last ervan. Goede wifi in de grote woonkamer. Vlotte ontvangst. Eigenares woont ernaast en is zeer aanspreekbaar. Mooie, afgesloten tuin. Ideaal voor de hond. Leuke meerwaarde: schapen naast de oprit. Goede bedden. Grote BBQ. Leuk ingericht. We hebben twee fijne weken gehad in Gite de l'Epine. Het is een mooi huis met zeer veel privacy. Het ligt naast de boerderij (akkerbouw) van de (zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame) eigenaren. Het huis is smaakvol ingericht, zeer comfortabel, met een prachtige tuin met zon en schaduw. En een zeer uitgebreide keukenuitrusting. We hebben genoten van de omgeving (Caen, de zee, het platteland en het bos). In Cambes is een bakker en epicerie. Supermarkten zijn te vinden op 5-7 minuten met de auto.

ein schöner Urlaub

vollständig eingerichtet, schönes eingezäuntes Grundstück für den Hund. Leider keine deutschen Fernsehprogramme eingerichtet oder zu empfangen. Das neue Sofa ist leider nicht sehr gemütlich.
