Casa Endless Summer. Come Relax, Surf And Enjoy Of Nature.
- english, spanish
We started building this house in 2010 and finished in 2012 little by little adding and making her our place, i chose this area because of the tranquility and the beach, not much of a swimming beach but more of a fun in the waves when swell and currents are not strong but the amount of wildlife one can experience. the amazing sunsets and sunrises and a village that is small but friendly, and its a quick drive to either Manzanillo or Colima.
Magda purchased this House in 2012
Why Magda chose Cuyutlán
This is my idea of a dream home and i made it happen love the open spaces a big garden and so so close to the beach.

Great location for a peaceful and restful stay.
Safe, clean. Great shower. Onsite well water. Really enjoyed the pool.
Nice, but not great!
It was very nice, although I truthfully feel the house could be better kept up for guests. I realize having a home on the ocean requires much maintenance and upkeep, but there were just little things that could be given better attention too, a little paint, cleaning of things, landscaping could be better kept up, but I am being critical only because I paid for this. The pool was very nice, I understand it is new. The beds were comfortable, nice bedding, could have used more towels for the bathrooms. Would I stay there again, I am not sure! Only because I would prefer a house right on the beach, not a block away and for about the same money! The weather was great during our stay in December which was nice. Anyway, my feelings on Casa Endless Summer. Magda the owner is very nice and property manager Ken Anderson was great & very accommodating.
Great Location, Great Space, Great Views
The house was large and open, it had a better feel than were conveyed in the photos. It was very clean and stocked with everything that we needed (towels, toilet paper, bedding, appliances, etc) We loved having AC in the bedrooms and are thankful that there was a coffee maker and filters ready for us...we loved drinking our morning coffees on the upper deck while watching the surf. Having a locked entry gate made us feel that our car was extra safe.
Ken made check-in and check-out easy.
If I had little kids I would have been worried about the open railing upstairs...but I don't and I didn't worry. :)
Relaxing stay at Cuyutlan
Nice, clean large house with 3 air conditioned bedrooms to stretch out in. It does get hot in the afternoon but keeping the downstairs windows open and fan on allowed the air to flow through the house. The kitchen was well equipped with a good array of crockery and glassware. We took our small dog, a Cocker Spaniel, and the fenced yard was ideal for her to play in and provided secure off-road parking.
The beach can be reached across the quiet street (advise you take water shoes to cross the open lot) giving you miles of deserted black, volcanic sand in either direction. The waves can be high and the current strong so even though there were surf and wave boards available in the property we didn't try anything more than paddling. A short drive to the end of the road takes you to the turtle sanctuary where you can also walk through the mangroves and see the lagoon.
Reserving this property was easy, the owner responding to our questions very quickly. Check-in was simple and the person we collected the key from extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Disconnect from the Web; Reconnect with what matters
This large, pretty Mexican style home is situated on a secure, well manicured, lovely lot about 4km south of the village of Cuyutlan. A vehicle is a must! Next door, to the south, is a home is being built and we could hear workers happily singing everyday, to the north is a workshop where a local craftsman works sporadically creating furniture. Behind the home is a wooded area full of birds and other animals, don't forget to bring a bird book and binoculars. Across the road through a weedy patch is the endless, black sand beach which offers surfing, boogie boarding opportunities, cool breezes when the main floor of the home was too hot, long romantic walks, and wildlife watching. Swimming was not recommended.
We spent a month in this home and it offered a safe and comfortable base from which to travel and see the local sites of Colima state. Over the month we travelled a lot. The locals recommend not travelling between dusk and dawn so there is a lot of down time in the evenings. Evenings for the first week were spent reading, playing cards and watching the one DVD series that was at the home. The home is not equipped with cable or internet. This afforded us an opportunity to get to know each other again. For the last three weeks house manager Ken, a most gracious host and guide, lent us an external drive to connect to the SMART TV.
My favorite part of the home was the deliciously cozy beds in the air-conditioned bedrooms where we could unwind at the end of a hot, hot day. The rest of the home is not air conditioned we used fans to circulate the air which at times could be oppressive even with all the sliding doors open.
The kitchen was large and well appointed with all the tools needed to cook for a large group. The rest of the home is spacious with lots of room and lovely, comfortable furniture.
Thank you Magda for opening your summer home to us. You were right about the expats! We welcomed their openness, expertise and their willingness to share. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool parties, evening dinners, dominoes, tours, restaurant recommendations, gringo nights, and medical assistance to name a few. Finally, you picked a wonderful house manager in Ken and housekeeper, Juanita, they made sure our stay was the best it could possibly be.
Spacious, quiet and relaxing
The house is lovely. There were 7 of us staying at this property. There is plenty of space for everyone, two living areas, three bedrooms, a large dining area, beautiful grounds. Cuyutlan is quiet and sleepy. We took day trips to nearby beaches and the mountains. The house is across the street from the beach, through a rough patch of scratchy underbrush that was difficult to walk through. The mosquitos were a bit more than we expected, although once we got DEET and some industrial insecticide we felt like we were no longer under siege. We had some trouble with the water heater, it worked intermittently, about half of the time we were there. But the manager was super friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a lovely place to spend New Year's with friends.
