Why Wade and Julie Heaton chose Alton
Alton is a peaceful community nestled in a secluded, quiet farming valley just a few miles from the main road. The valley is surrounded by unbelievable scenery and is truly a special place. One guest said it best, "If there were more places like Alton, the world would be a better place!"
What makes this Lodge unique
This is a real log home with some fantastic modern twists. The kitchen is great to make gourmet meals or simple staples to help you spend more time with the ones you love. There is lots of space with the open floor plan to accommodate just a few or a large crowd. We have a beautiful outdoor firepit to accommodate a large group along with a outdoor amphitheater with log benches. The lodge is located on 20 acres, providing lots of room for activities....including playing games on the 30,000 sf lawn, a sand volleyball court, a golf driving range, horseshoe pit or archery range. Or just sit on one of the two decks and enjoy the view and the quiet.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This was a great place to stay with our large group. Just close enough to Zions National Park that the drive was easy, and just far enough that we weren't surrounded by tourists. The house was huge and offered many outdoor and indoor gathering areas, so that it never felt too crowded with all 35 of us. The only thing we didn't like was that the hot water on the main floor kept going out and the people there were taking cold showers and we had to do dishes cold. The owners were quite apologetic and said that it was the first time something like that had happened. It would have been nice if they offered us money back for this though.
Superb family vacation home
Clean, spacious. Beautiful location. Outside area wonderful for large family playing lots of yard games. Owners were very helpful, always responsive.
This property is perfect for big family’s of all ages. There were 30 of us ranging from infant to senior.
Great Family Reunion Experience
This is a great property for large reunions or other gatherings. We were very impressed with the lodge, with the response and communication with the owners, and our total experience.
Perfect lodge for a family reunion
My entire family loved staying at Alton Lodge for our biannual family reunion. We loved all the big windows that allowed us to keep an eye on the kids playing on the beautiful lawn while we prepped meals or visited inside. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the lofts. Somehow we didn’t realize sheets were not provided for the mattresses in the lofts but we were able to make do with the sleeping bags and extra blankets. My only complaint would be that the knives in the kitchen were all dull which made it hard to prepare meals but nothing a quick sharpening wouldn’t fix.
Thanks Wade and Julie for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge! There is a good chance we will stay again in two years!
Alton Lodge, Alton, Utah
Location is very close to national parks. There were many activities for all ages at the vacation home. One day it rained significantly, but even with 32 people, we were never crowded or on top of each other. Alton is a stunning location. The red mountains, green meadows and trees , were relaxing to the senses. We enjoyed the fire pit a couple of nights. The ping pong, beach volleyball and the pool table were fun diversions. A lovely time was had by all.
