Looking for a cozy vacation rental on the Oregon Coast? Consider the Sunset Suite at Otter Rock's Alpine Chalets: with space for up to four guests, this charming retreat offers unbelievable ocean views and all the comforts of home for a very attractive price.
The suite is a studio, with an open floor plan encompassing a living area, kitchenette, and bedroom nook. The living area has comfortable armchairs, and jaw-dropping views of the ocean through the ample west-facing windows! There's a TV with VCR, DVD player, and cable for movie nights, and a four-person table for playing board games or jigsaw puzzles.
Of course, you can also sit down for meals at the table as well! The kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and mixer, along with dishes and glassware, so you can enjoy preparing your own snacks and light meals. While there is no oven or stovetop, the picnic areas do offer two barbecues for summer grilling!
The studio includes a full bed and full bath, making it ideal for a romantic retreat for two. There's even WiFi provided so you can stay connected to the office or make dinner reservations for an evening out in Newport, just eight miles to the south. And the studio is dog-friendly, so you won't have to leave any family members behind (though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply).
Of course, the real draw here at the Alpine Chalets is the location! The studio is one of ten charming retreats perched on a small bluff above Beverly Beach, offering outstanding views of the ocean and easy access down to the sand via a private trail. The chalets sit on a beautiful parklike setting, with plenty of space to play games, toast marshmallows over one of the fire pits, or enjoy a lovely picnic with the Pacific as your backdrop. From the bluff, you'll be able to see Beverly Beach stretch all the way down to Yaquina Head and its namesake lighthouse.
You'll find plenty of peace and quiet here, but all the shopping, dining, and attractions of Newport are just eight miles to the south.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

The cabin was very clean and easy access to the beach. Very quiet and relaxing.
This is not a single unit. There are people above. The unit is very dated but comfortable
No screens on some windows and none on the sliding door. Huge bug in the bedside table drawer. BARELY an ocean peek. Steep, long trail back to the cabin from the beach. These things need to be remedied and/or disclosed.
We apologize for these disappointments. The LOM has plans to replace the screens during the off-season, and the home will promptly be treated for bugs.
The room was perfect for a couple. Cozy, full amenities, perfect location.
The property was fantastic. Right on the coast, barely minutes from the Devil's Punchbowl (which is an incredible sight, make sure to take the short hike down to the beach at low tide). 10 minutes from Depoe Bay (whale watching, charter fishing, quaint town) and Newport (sea lions on the pier, Oregon Aquarium, larger town for shopping needs), not to mention all the amazing places to stop on the coast, like the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, and countless little turn offs for amazing views. Between Depoe and Newport, there's at least 4 unique beaches: sand, rocky, black sand, and dunes. Each is different and all within about a 30 mile stretch. It's an incredible place to visit for a week, and will make you want to stay forever.
Great location, quaint and friendly accommodations
Had a wonderful time. Sat by the fire on the sand at the Pacific Ocean with a glass of wine. Fabulous! Met some great friendly people. All around great time
We loved staying here! It was exactly how it was described online. It was a great location and had beach access which was wonderful. The only thing that went wrong, which wasn't a big deal, was that the DVD player was missing the red/yellow/White plug ins so we couldn't watch the movie we brought. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Might I add the bed was also amazing and felt like a cloud.
