Why Joey and Ron Richards chose Williams
We chose this property because we lived in Kingman, AZ and traveled many times to Williams, AZ to go fishing, browse through the antique shops, eat at the excellent restaurants and we just fell in love with the area.
What makes this House unique
This home is so unique because of the beautiful Knotty Pine walls throughout and the peacefulness we feel being surrounded by the trees and nature. It is a great escape from everyday life.

Very nice place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. Easily accessible but off the beaten path and peaceful at night. Very clean and inviting and looks freshly remodeled. We even got to pet a horse in the neighborhood!! Upstairs rooms can get a bit warm since there are no A/C ducts in them. But the owners provide plenty of fans so it's ok. All in all a very nice place to stay. Highly recommended!
Comfortable and restful stay.
We only spent two nights at Knotty Pine but would have loved to have stayed longer. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Was really lovely to come back after a long day sightseeing and relax either on the comfortable sofa or little deck with a cold beer. It is quite remote and very quiet but we found this just what we needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay longer if we ever have the opportunity.
Rural feel, but convenient
We were very happy with this rental. It turned out to be an excellent "base camp" as we headed to Grand Canyon South Rim one day and Bearizona on another. This property had all the amenities we could hope for, including a full kitchen and fenced back yard. It is only about ten miles from Williams (with restaurants and a well-stocked Safeway), but feels remote, as it is reached via unpaved (but very good) mostly-elevated gravel roads that run partially through open grazing range (watch for cattle!). You will have a good chance of seeing wildlife -- I saw two coyotes from the side deck one morning, perhaps the same two we spotted near the cattle. (And could hear more in the distance.) So do be aware they are in the area, and closely supervise pets and children. There were also dogs running loose in the area. I had to stop walking our dog along the roadway after being surprised by them twice. One good surprise of our trip was a "why not?" stop at Kaibab Lake (the turnoff is just a few miles away from the property). We spent a couple relaxing hours watching the water. Seems to be a popular fishing spot -- we saw several families on the banks with their poles (even wildlife got in on the action-- we watched a prey bird dive and and make multiple returns for more fish). Good place for a getaway. I think we might return.
Would definitely stay there again.
The house was perfect. We had 5 people, and did not feel crowded. Everything we needed was supplied. It was in a good location. We would definitely stay there again, if we are in that area.
Great little cabin to stay and see the sites of William and Grand Canyon.
The cabin is exactly as advertised. It's charming, comfortable and 10 minutes from Williams. There are neighbors but also enough Junipers and pines to make you feel secluded and it is a quiet area. The check out instructions do ask for you to take out all the trash, strip the beds and put all the used towels in the laundry room. Not a big deal but not known until you get there. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and I would recommend it for couples or those with small families. It was a great place to come back to after a busy day exploring. Thank you to the owners for sharing!!
Great spot to stay close to the Grand Canyon
My family and I loved this place. A great space for a family of 4. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this home to anyone.
Bearizona is a must see, fun for the whole family. Grand Canyon is just 50 min away as well as the Grand Canyon Railway only 10 min away in downtown Williams.
