Description of property:
The property itself is spacious and sits on 4 lots giving the cabin 4X the norm in both grounds and beach area. It offers an extended beach with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy, play and relax.

The cabin is located just steps away from McCarthy State Beach & Park both by water and by land. The sandy beach on Sturgeon Lake was rated one of the top 17 beaches in North America by Highway’s Magazine. Walk along the half-mile of shoreline or venture out into the shallow water that extends hundreds of feet into the lake. An ideal setting for young children and families of all ages.

Whether you want to just relax, read a book, take a walk, fish or enjoy the water, there is always something to do at the cabin. If you enjoy boating, you have easy access to the launch ramps both on Sturgeon Lake and Side Lake. You can launch a boat and explore the five connected lakes of the Sturgeon chain while enjoying water sports, fishing or even a pizza at Bimbos. If you enjoy hiking, you will enjoy the scenic trails that wind along pine-covered ridges and through stands of birch.

Whether you come for family, friends, or a class reunion, this cabin experience offers you fun, relaxation, memories & exploration. The best way to end a day is by watching the amazing sunsets the lake has to offer while sitting around a campfire telling stories and eating smores. It’s Cabin Life at its Best!

We stayed there for a week in aug..Athene was a pleasure to deal with before and during our stay! Whatever questions we had, she was quick to answer and they were very generous with letting use things,such as the kayaks..the cabin was easy to get to and in a great location!

This is our third summer renting the cabin. Athene is great to communicate with. Our kids love the beach. State park full of hiking and biking trails is right across the road.

Just what an "up north" cabin experience should be!

The cabin was perfect for our family. Just what an "up north" cabin experience should be! Beach is beautiful - very soft sand and very shallow for those with small children. Loved the deck and fire pit area near the beach. All the necessary amenities were available, fridge was large, nice-clean shower. Our teenage kids had a great time and even put their phones to rest! We hope to return next year for another relaxing vacation!!

Wonderful beach and relaxing deck

Owner was so helpful in answering all our questions and recommending local restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. House had everything we needed and we loved the relaxing deck and fires in the fire pit at night.

Best family vacation!

We loved the property and the cabin. The owner was very accommodating and extremely easy to work with. It was probably one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had as a family. My kids loved it and no one wanted to go home. The cabin was very clean and the beach area was as good as being at McCarthy Beach but without all the people. We hope we are able to come back again next year. Thank you!

( State Park, State Beach, CC Campground, Riverside Inn, Side Lake Store, Side Lake Liquor & Bimbos).
