The kitchen just received a new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, popcorn maker, crockpot, blender, and more. We are always improving for your comfort. This is city water, so pressure and supply are totally reliable. There are plenty of plates, glasses, cooking vessels and utensils, dish soap/detergent, towels and paper towels, placemats, etc.

There are ceiling fans in all rooms, four window air-conditioners, but the evenings are always cool in the mountains.

About Linda Lazar Curatolo

Linda Lazar Curatolo is a writer and web designer from Detroit who fell in love with Asheville, like everyone else who visits. She achieved her dream of purchasing a vacation home in the Blue Ridge Mountains after visiting for many years.

Linda Lazar Curatolo purchased this house in 2014

Why Linda Lazar Curatolo chose Asheville

This is the perfect location to absorb all that Asheville has to offer. It's walkable to hiking trails but close to Downtown Asheville food, art, music, shopping, brewing, history and culture. Even gems such as Biltmore Estate, Black Mountain, Lake Lure, waterfalls and national parks are within minutes! The Blue Ridge Parkway is around the corner, and the Mountain to Sea Trail which connects with many other trails is within walking distance to the house.

What makes this house unique

Excellent connectivity, for cell phone and internet service. The view of the mountains from the back of the house, and the view of the woods in any direction is beautiful and soothing. Only one neighbor is nearby and unobtrusive to the privacy this neighborhood offers. If you are a hiker, biker or even a birdwatcher this is an amazing location, but not isolated from the city conveniences. You can walk to the trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is the road next to yours, yet drive to top destinations such as the Biltmore Estate, Funky West Asheville, Downtown Asheville and even Black Mountain in minutes. The close proximity to the major expressways, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet in a wooded setting, is probably one of the best combinations you could hope for in the area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband and I along with our three children ages 16 to 25 enjoyed a three-night stay in this very Cozy home. The home was very clean and had a lot of amenities that you usually would not find in a rental. The owner was amazing very responsive to text messages and she added a lot of simple touches to make this a home away from home. The location is great because it is very private but within minutes you can find supermarkets get to downtown Asheville and many of the main attractions. I am very excited about going back and spending more time here I can't say enough about how great this place is.

I can’t say enough about how great this house is to stay in if you are visiting Asheville!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Asheville for a family wedding and shared this house with 2 other couples. Everything was perfect. Clean, comfortable and roomy to share for 3 couples. We couldn’t have asked for anything nicer. Just like the pictures. Linda was in touch with us in case we needed something or had questions, but everything was explained perfectly prior to our arrival and everything met our needs. Will definitely stay again when visiting family. Loved it!

Our Stay at 65 Lover's Loop

  • 5 of 5

The house was situated in a quiet area, minutes from downtown Asheville and minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, a perfect location.

The owner, Linda Curatolo, was very helpful.

Generally, we found the house fit our needs. We made use of the deck and the patio, especially in the evenings.

A few suggestions: The downstairs half bathroom was very tiny and made use difficult. A solution might be to take part of the closet and make the half bath larger and more functional.

Since we ate two dinners there, supplying the kitchen with some good cutting/carving knives would've been helpful.

We found the house to be clean when we arrived. However, we would suggest the owner discourage renters from leaving half-used food items.

We would recommend the house to others.

Owner's Response: Thank you for suggestions. I will speak to the cleaning service. It is in my check out instructions for guests not to leave anything behind. As for the tiny bath, since there are two full baths with showers and bathtubs we have decided to remove the tiny “half” bath from the listing description until we can decide on it’s future. I appreciate any and all feedback as it helps me fine tune the experience for my guests. It was a pleasure to host your family. I hope it gave you a pleasant and well deserved getaway.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

This lovely home is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and has a hiking trail just up the street. Surrounded by trees you feel out in the country, but just off main roads, it is easy and quick to get whereever you want to go in and near Asheville. Linda is great at customer service. She responded to our every question and need. We were there when hurricane Irma came through. She was reassuring and kept us updated about the weather. She keeps a good supply of tourist information. We had a wonderful stay. There are a few outside stairs to get to the front door and inside to get to the main level if that is an issue.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much, Nina. Thank goodness for having a safe distance between Asheville and the coast, eh? The stormy weather is exciting enough! It was a pleasure staying in touch with you throughout the stay and I hope you will think of returning someday. Have a wonderful fall.

Vacationed on Labor Day weekend with husband and three adult children. This house was conveniently located to all we wanted to do in Asheville. Contacted the owner a few times before trip and she promptly answered all my questions. House was comfortable and very clean. We could not have been happier with this rental. I would definitely rent this house again and would highly recommend it to all. Fully satisfied with this beautiful home.

Great House - Great Time in Asheville!!

  • 5 of 5

We love Asheville and have visited there many times from our home in Maryland, as our older of two daughters was previously a student at UNC Asheville close by, and we loved visiting her there and spending time in the area. This house was perfect for us on this most recent trip. Spacious, comfortable, close to downtown and to grocery stores, etc., yet in a quiet, peaceful, wooded area in the mountains right outside of town, with access to hiking trails within a short walk of the front door! We were there for a week, and cooked a few meals while there. The kitchen was really very nice and well-stocked with everything needed (cookware, dishes, etc.) to really feel at home and make everything easy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room on the main floor so that we never even really used the lower rooms (bedroom and bath), except to do laundry. The house was extremely "homey"; we felt very comfortable and able to enjoy just hanging out there, watching movies, having meals, etc. Some of us enjoyed sitting on the back deck, reading and talking. There was also a very nice lower patio which we also used, which was especially nice during and after a rain storm since it was underneath the upper deck and therefore covered to help us keep dry.

All in all, a really nice house for a fun stay in Asheville, and we will definitely want to rent it again in the future.
