A Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a perfect stay at Maile's Cottage. The home is exceptionally clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The location is ideal for access to Sequoia National Park. We would certainly stay here again and will recommend this home to our friends. Our kids enjoyed the toys, books, and games. The home has a rustic, historic feel but has been updated with a lovely kitchen and bathrooms. Thank you for sharing this home with us!

A gem in three rivers!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage, with its idyllic backyard, was perfect for three couples and two very small children. We loved all the comforts of home: books, toys, kitchen supplies, etc. The furnishings and decor were terrific. The location is convenient with grocery store, coffee, restaurants within easy walking distance; it's a short drive to Sequoia National Park. The property manager was very attentive, right down to the homebaked loaf of sourdough bread left for us. Thanks for a great stay!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is not far from Sequoia National Park, where we visited Crystal Cave, the giant Sequoia trees and had dinner at Wuksachi Lodge. The cottage was comfortable and nicely decorated. Our children loved it too! There are fun toys and games in the cottage. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay!

This cottage was very clean and worked perfect for our family vacation to the National Parks. Robin was very helpful and answered our questions within minutes. I really liked the coffee table books that provided valuable information about the area. The table area behind the house was were we spent our evenings! Highly recommended!

Fabulous cottage!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect base camp for exploring 2 great National Parks! I rented this cottage for 8 days with 3 girlfriends to hike and sightsee in & around Kings Canyon & Sequoia NPs and it worked out beautifully. The cottage is so charming, with a well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals. We knew it would be hot in Three Rivers in August (it was!), but we were so comfortable with the cottage's air conditioning. The parks are close so it was easy to escape to cooler elevations to hike, then return to the beautiful swimming holes of the Kaweah River. Visalia is close enough to skip into town for shopping, dining & the fabulous fruit & vegetables of the San Joaquin Valley.

The cottage was roomy for the 4 of us and all our gear, with a nice dining room for our meals and a comfy living room for evenings. The patio was perfect for morning coffee and staying connected via the cottage's WiFi.

The big bedrooms offered privacy and comfort. It was great to have comfortable beds and nice linens.

Robin, the property manager, could not have been more gracious. She was always just a text away if we had questions or needed anything. Her homemade bread was a special treat!

Owner's Response: Kris & friends, I rarely get the chance to sit awhile and visit with guests, so chatting with you ladies was a special treat. I'm betting you clocked more miles on the trails than any of my other guests! Blessings on your annual treks and I look forward to seeing you when I visit Bend (hopefully sooner rather than later) ~Robin~

Sweet, stylish cottage ideal for families or couples

  • 5 of 5

My family rented this adorable cottage along with my friend's family for a weekend reunion. It was ideal for our purposes. Wonderfully situated within Three Rivers, and a short drive from Sequoia National Park, it provided a comfortable base for our adventures. The four small children in our party shared the quaint attic room upstairs, which was ideally set up for fort building and playtime, and gave the adults some nice privacy downstairs. We all enjoyed the comfortable, cool quarters inside, and the spacious eating area outside. And as an interior designer, I found myself impressed with the clean, Scandinavian-inspired decorating too! And Robin was an excellent host: friendly, attentive, and very well organized. We take this trip to Three Rivers every year, and look forward to staying at Maile's Cottage again soon.

Established in 1890, Sequoia National Park is California's first national park and America's second oldest. With more than 1 million annual visitors, Sequoia National Park is a popular destination for guests from around the world. Filled with pristine wilderness, giant trees, and terrain that invite engagement and adventure, it's a place where friends and family can enjoy the great outdoors together. Sequoia Sightseeing Tours introduce visitors to this awe-inspiring park with expert local guides who know it well. There are more than 800 miles of Sequoia hiking trails for people of every ability and inclination, from gentle ambles among giant sequoias to moderate day hikes and full-throttle ascents. Fly fishing, stargazing, and spelunking are on the itinerary. And when winter makes it's magical arrival at the park's higher elevation, Sequoia recreation expands to include showshoeing, cross-country skiing, and sledding. Take a leisurely drive after breakfast and climb the 300 foot stair to the summit of Moro Rock where you will enjoy sweeping views of the western half of the Sequoia National Park. Or, visit Crystal Cave, a treasure-cavern of ornate marble polished by subterranean streams and decorates with curtains of icicle-like stalactites and mounds of stalagmites. After your daily adventures return home to the peace and quiet of 'Maile's Cottage'. Enjoy your BBQ in the back garden and dine while watching the sun set over the magical Sierra peaks.
