great adventure

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was awesome, all you needed was provided. Clean and cozy the fireplace inside kept us toasty warm on the chilly nights. Owners were great and very helpful, we had good fishing on the Big Falls and Dairyland flowage. If you are looking for quiet, clean cabin this is for you!

Quiet little house

  • 4 of 5

Was a nice place to unplug and relax. The Gillis family is very nice and pleasant. Even their dog Charlie is very calm and friendly. He offered his paw to my husband for a hand shake. So, cute. Was great being in a quiet setting.

great stay

  • 5 of 5

Rented this cabin vs getting a hotel in town. Very cozy, Jerry had a fire started prior to our arrival. Setting along Big falls Flowage was great, it was quiet and peaceful. No cell phone coverage, but there was a hardline available if needed. I was able to call home using Skype or FaceTime through the good internet connection.

Highly recommended for someone looking for an alternative to staying in a hotel

Beautiful setting and kind neighbors

  • 5 of 5

I was blessed to spend a week in this comfortable cabin on the banks of the Flambeau River. What a gorgeous setting with the fall foliage at its best. I had asked to have a silent time of retreat and the owners were so respectful of that. Yet, I knew that if I needed them they were very near and ready to be of servic e. The cabin has everything that is needed plus a washer and dryer. A wonderful stay and I hope to return.

Great cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent visit on the Flambeau. This cottage was perfect, with plenty of room for everyone. The Gillis family was more than responsive to any of our needs and really made us feel at home during our stay. Their dog Charile was also such a sweet dog who made frequent visits to the flowage front during the day. We loved the fire pit on the water and made use of it every night. We also had some pretty good luck fishing right off the dock. We caught several smallies, a couple pike, and even a snapping turtle during our visit. Overall, a very realxing place for an "unplugged" getaway!!!
