YEAR-ROUND RENTAL CABIN $109.00 for 2/ Sleeps 6/ $20. extra person per stay

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend. The cabin is very nice, close to the water and has all the amenities you could ask for. Eileen, Jerry, Jason and Charlie are great hosts and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Great little place to stay for 2-4 people.

We had the best time at this property! Beautiful and Peaceful. The owners Eileen and Jerry are some of the nicest and down to earth people you will ever meet, and Charlie their dog is a sweetie! The house was decorated very cute with some personal touches like Jason's pottery and drawings. Pretty much everything there you will need. Some of the things we appreciated the most were comfy beds, use of washer and dryer, a high toilet,( that you don't feel like you are dropping to the floor),towels provided, smart tv, and wifi. There is one window air conditioner in one of the bedrooms but we kept pretty comfortable with fans going even on warm days. One suggestion would be another stand fan in the other bedroom, we had brought a couple of our own from home. The yard was nice and level walk to the water, pier and firepit. We even grilled a couple of steaks over the fire on the grate provided. Yummy!! It was handy that we could purchase firewood right there. Had deer visit daily right in the yard, and watched a doe feed everyday along the shoreline on other side of the river. We tried a little fishing but not much luck but that's ok. Thanks Jerry for the nightcrawlers! The Tony Depot is a short drive away and has pretty much anything you need in a pinch. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to come back in the fall to see all the colors! Cheryl K.

Setting was nice and the cozy little house was just what we needed to accommodate my husband, myself, my grown son and small pets. The price beat what we would have paid for two hotel rooms and we were able to be all together in a common house area. My only complaint was my pillow was hard. I have a big fluffy, down pillow at home. I should have brought it, but slept well in spite of that. It was neat to lie in the queen sized bed and be able to look out the window at all of the stars. The last bit of road is gravel, so just be aware of that. The host was very nice and had the porch light on, waiting for us to come in. We didn't arrive until late. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a little house on the river.

Somewhat dated interior and needed some cleaning, but very relaxing. Owners should disclose that the water needs to be boiled before use. There was a sulfur smell to the water and we had to go back to town to get some gallons of drinking water. Jerry was very nice and had a fire going for us when we arrived.

The cabin had everything we needed! It was very secluded, exactly what we wanted. We arrived at 0130 and Jerry had the fireplace started for us. He also had the humidifier on, which was a must. It was very welcoming. He also stopped by to check on us, which was much appreciated. I was overall impressed and recommend it!
