A very beautiful villa in a great location.

Villa Oleander is a beautiful villa. It is spacious and very well appointed. Joanna came in every day and kept both the garden and the villa spotlessly clean. The charming old town of Chania is close by as are a number of lovely beaches. Margarita made all the arrangements for the Samaria Gorge and was most helpful at all times. It is the ideal holiday home for a large family gathering.

Amazing stay at Villa Oleander

We stayed at Villa Oleander with six adults and eight children between 3 and 8 years old. The villa was amazing, clean, spacious and wonderfully equipped. There was a daily cleaning service which took care of the bathrooms and towels. The pool was clean and heated just perfectly. The overall location of the villa was convenient, but you have to take the car to go anywhere. Contact with our host was straightforward and always helpful. Would definitely recommend to multiple families traveling together.

An incredible Villa for large family vacations - highly recommended!

Our family returned from a very satisfying vacation at Villa Oleander. We were a party of thirteen including parents, children and grandchildren. The Villa’s three separable living quarters easily accommodated our numbers with quiet spaces for each including indoor living areas and shaded outdoor porches. In addition to the Villa, our owner/host manage a spa/hotel in Chania supporting the excellent service we were accorded during our stay – providing access to excellent catering services, child care and assisting with our every need. The beautifully manicured grounds included a shaded outdoor dining area, pool perfectly proportioned for grandchildren and adults alike, and ample grass landscaping surrounded by olive and fruit trees providing exquisite privacy. We could not have found a better location for our vacation and highly recommend the Villa.

Exactly as described/photographed

Fantastic villa for a group of 11 friends. Villa is split into two apartments but the living and outside space of the upper appartment is big enough for the whole group. Meticulously clean, cleaner sent in every day to change beds, lovely toiletries provided, fantastic pool (there are 10 sun beds around the pool), sea view. The outside areas are particularly strong at this villa. Couple of things to mention - the location of this villa definitely requires a car, although you can walk to a small local beach and taverna, everything else is within driving distance. The cicadas are extremely noisy during the summer months and, although it didn't both me personally, a few in our group complained of being woken up at 6/7am by their noise.

The most wonderful holiday we loved every moment spent at this beautifully kept villa. Everything we had hoped for and we were not disappointed! Many days spent at the pool, beach a close drive away, rooms spacious, villa is brand new, owners are so friendly and do everything they can to assist and make ones stay a true dream holiday!

The perfect villa for 2 families!

Villa Oleander was our first holiday with my parents and my in-laws! With 13 of us in total, the villa was the perfect size to give us all our own space. upon arrival Margarita greeted us, showed us around and gave us a thorough briefing on the villa and the surrounding area. She arranged for food to be delivered from a local - it was great home cooked food, highly recommend! We had a maid come and clean from 9am to 1pm ever day (they had asked us what our preferred start time was). She started outside and cleaned all around the pool area and the outside dining then moved indoors around 11am to start the kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. We had fresh towels and toilet roll every day it was like staying in a hotel! Also toiletries - hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner was all provided and great quality too! All the bedrooms were a good size for any couple - however some had limited storage space i.e. 1 small wardrobe with no draw space. Both floors had easy access to the pool area with great living space. There are many outdoor seating areas but the main area by the pool was amazing. They have thought of everything in terms of what you might need - outdoor fridge, ice machine, sink with all the cleaning products/cloths, comfy seating area and bbq. All the kitchens were well equipped - glasses, plastic glasses, pots, pans, cutlery etc. The knives could be better! The pool was a salt water pool very clean and a great size. The sun shone all day! Also pool towels are provided! In terms of the area, you can walk down to a beach but its along a main road and the beach is very small and seems more like a locals beach. The next beach along called Stavros is a lovely beach!! better to drive though. It was a beautiful little cove with clear sea and soft sand and nice restaurants - we went to Mama's for lunch very nice! Further back the other way in the town Kounoupidiana there are 3 supermarkets - 3-5 min drive - the one at the top of the hill is the better one. There is also a good quality butchers! we did walk into the town twice for dinner - the walk is about 15-20mins but its up hill on a main road however the road isn't very busy so felt safe. Overall, the standard of this property was 5 star - very clean, well equipped, well thought out, great living space! Margarita was on hand throughout the whole of our stay - helped us with restaurant recommendations, booking us taxis, car hire etc. Highly recommend!!!

Взрыв мозга. Там все идеально! Заехали 21.07.2016г. Вилла полностью соответствует описанию и фотографиям. Кухня полностью укомплектована всем, чем можно только придумать. Порадовал винный шкаф и машина для льда. Вилла просто роскошная. Очень современная. Отличный просторный бассейн, газовая печь барбекю и летняя кухня. Оливковый сад и вид на море. Горничная убиралась каждый день. Вот за телевидение ничего не скажу, просто не включали, некогда было. Дети только изредка PS4 гоняли. Мы приехали с друзьями, порадовало, что вилла устроена так, что два ее этажа независимы друг от друга, каждый с отдельной кухней и гостиной, и поэтому при желании можно не мешать друг другу. Помимо прочего, у виллы очень выгодное расположение - 5 мин. пешком до чудесного бесплатного пляжа. Хозяева очень гостеприимны. Маргарите желаем всего самого наилучшего, и рады, что она и ее мама являются собственниками такого чудесного владения. Очень постараемся приехать ещё.

Just beautiful, you won't be disappointed

When we booked the villa back in March 2016, there were no reviews for the villa so we were concerned that the villa may not have existed. Working with Up Crete Villas was easy and helped build our confidence. The villa is just as beautiful as the pictures, maybe even better than the pictures. We were a family of 12 so we rented the whole house. It felt like we were coming home to a resort every time we would open the gates. The grounds are so beautifully landscape with Olive trees. Each room is equipped with it's own temperature control - that's a huge bonus for so many people with different preferences. The pool is by far the best pool I have ever swam in. It's the perfect temperature and I believe salt water. The villa is quick drive to the near by stores for groceries, bakery, gas, etc. The villa is about 20 min drive into Chania - we loved hanging out in the old town. Food is reasonably priced so you won't need to cook too much at the villa. Every amenity you need is at the villa - ice machine, pots and pans, some spices, hair dryers, iron, laundry, etc. Coming from North America we are used to separate washer and separate dryer so we had some trouble using the two in one machine. We never did figure it out! I definitely would recommend this villa and Crete. Be sure to take a boat to Ballos beach - it is just stunning.

Fantastic

Just returned from a week at Villa Oleander and could not recommend this more highly enough. We were 4 couples and 7 children and there was so much space we never felt on top of each other. Amazing outdoor eating and pool area and Margarita and family had thought of everything and were so helpful. Great beaches 5-10 mins drive away particularly Sunset taverna hidden away near Stavros beach- very special. A must.
