50th anniversary trip

The property was beautiful and easily accomodated our party of 9. It does require a rental car to get around but we easily parked our 3 cars there. Stelios helped get us in contact with someone who came in to the villa and cooked a spectacular anniversary dinner on the patio paired with a private wine tasting. So much to do and see within driving distance.

Wunderschönes Haus mit grandiosem Anwesen

Stelios war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Haus und der Garten hat uns sehr gefallen. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch. Leider hatten wir nur mit dem Wetter etwas Pech gehabt.

Wonderful villa, amazing views, excellent host.

The villa is really lovely with absolutely stunning views of the mountains and the sea. As per the description, it is a bit secluded, but only a 5 min drive from shops and local amenities. Everything was well stocked and well maintained with nice touches like the fruit and veg allotment. Stelios was very responsive and helpful on all points and gave us confidence to travel despite the uncertainty of the pandemic, and was then consistently available and helping organise chefs, taxis, testing on arrival.

Incredible pool & gardens

We were a group of 10 friends staying at Villa AnnaNiko. The grounds and the view were amazing. There were olive trees and two vegetable gardens that we were free to take from. The interior is a beautiful Danish-style. It was perhaps not the best layout for our group as we had 4 couples and two singles who didn't not want to share a room (one male, one female), so one person slept on the sofa in the living room (where the sun shone brightly through the lovel big windows and the early risers had to be quiet). Two of the bedrooms have sofa beds, but it's really more appropriate for a couple with children instead of an adult sharing a room with a couple. Stelios was a wonderful help in planning our trip. He hooked us up with a wine expert for an in-house wine tasting on the terrace. She also arranged a wine & olive oil tasting tour (that included a traditional Cretan lunch) for our group which was fabulous. Several of us wanted massages, and Stelios was our massage therapist - he was amazing and did different massages depending on what each person needed. I highly recommend a Stelios massage! You definitely need a car for this villa, but it only takes about five minutes to get down to the main road and it's also close to the freeway. We had no problem getting around. We had 4 cars and there was enough room to park all of them. I highly recommend Villa AnnaNiko if the layout will work for your family/friends.

Wonderful stay

The villa has all what you need, fantastic views surrounded by olive trees, wonderful pool, beautiful rooms, different outdoor spaces, well equipped kitchen and BBQ. We were a family of 8 and really enjoyed it. Thank you also to Stelios, who was a great host and gave us good tips

A wonderful family holiday!

My family of 10 stayed at Villa AnnaNiko from 11 November through 15 November. We thoroughly loved our stay! Lot's of room for a large group, great kitchen and living areas, and comfortable and private bedrooms. The owners Stelios and Simula were very responsive when we needed to contact them for assistance! The location of the villa is wonderful. Close to town for all of our needs, but very secluded. Incredible views throughout! We highly recommend this property!!!

Ich schreibe normalerweise keine Bewertungen! Bei diesem Haus mache ich eine Ausnahme, da es nichts zu mäkeln gibt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir waren jetzt das vierte Jahr nacheinander in der Region Chania und von der Erreichbarkeit zu allen schönen Plätzen ist super. Die Lage ist einfach strategisch sehr gut. Nächstes Jahr ist die Villa wahrscheinlich zu klein, da wie wieder mehrere Familien werden, ansonsten würden wir uns wieder hier einmieten.

Great location, beautiful villa. awesome views, spacious pools and hot tube, clean, all amenities.

The views to the sea from all rooms is amazing. The outside area with the pools is as beautiful as the rooms inside. So privileged to cook and have dinner outside with a view to the sea. We find several terraces so that you can choose between sun and shadow. The welcome of the host was very warm, letting us feel like home, willing to give us all info we needed for our vacation. We had a fantastic week and we will always choose this villa again and again.

Beautiful spacious villa with stunning views

Having just returned from villa annaniko, all I can say is WOW!!! This is a very special place. Firstly the villa itself is amazing, and it is maintained to a very high standard. Being a party of 8 (4 small children & 8 adults) The villa layout was perfect. The pools area is awesome and very generous in size. This is where we spent almost all our time. The villa had everything we needed & more. On arrival we were met by Stelios, he showed us around and demonstrated how things worked, such as: the cooker & jucczi bath. A lovely welcome pack was provided, much appreciated when arriving late on a Sunday evening. The next morning we got to experience the stunning views for the first time - totally breathtaking. Being situated on top of a hill, villa annaniko provides 360 degree views. From the amazing white mountains across to the deep blue sea. All in all my whole family had a wonderful holiday in this stunning villa. We cannot recommend this gorgeous holiday home highly enough. We will be booking again very soon.

Amazing villa and location

We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Anna Niko for 3 weeks in August. The villa is incredibly well laid out, very comfortable and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The location is stunning with the most amazing views, swimming pool and living spaces. The table tennis table and jacuzzi also got a lot of use. Stelios, who manages the property, could not have been more helpful – recommending places to go, restaurants and things to do and when the cleaners came (every Wed and Sat) they would leave an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables from the property’s garden. We have never slept so well as it was such a quiet location and the magical views right down to the coast were spectacular. We spent a lot of time just relaxing at the villa, only getting out for fresh bread from the local bakery (5 min drive away). The large shopping centre (Synka) was less than 10 min drive away and has everything you could need. The location was great providing access to a variety of beaches and other sight seeing although we often found it hard to leave the villa it was so comfortable and relaxing. Cannot recommend this villa highly enough. We will be back! Thanks again to Stelios and his team for all they did to make our stay so wonderful in this amazing villa.

amazing place, amazing holidays

warm welcoming presentation of the villa and the area.... to an amazing luxury villa with so many wonderful spots. Where ever you look the views are amazing. Completely private and peaceful with a great host, always available to for any kind of info or assistant. The villa itself has everything you may need for a pleasant stay. Look forward coming back...!

Lovely place

Ten of us stayed and we had a lovely time. The fact we could all sit around the table both inside and outside was great, the layout was also really helpful. The bedrooms were also good and the pool nice and big, Highly recommended.

Wonderful villa for our family of 10, this is our second visit and we will return again.

The location of the villa is superb within a few minutes drive to gerani and Platanias, yet perched on top of a hill away from everyone. 360degrees views and stunning sunsets. The facilities were excellent. Stelios was extremely attentive and we had a generous welcome pack on arrival. The maid service was briiliant, we even got a thorough clean mid week. There is something for everyone here with the pools, the gym, bbq, lovely gardens and tranquility. If your looking for excitement then Platanias is on your doorstep. We all can’t wait to return. outstanding place -we felt like in heaven

Coming together with eight old friends we had five gorgeous days in that wonderfully, almost indescribably place - but that most beautyful architecture and location wouldn´t mean so much to us without Stelios, who cared and supported us in an unbelievable human, kindly and warmly way from the first to the last second- THANK YOU for that, Stelios!!!! Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Sehr leckere Orangen, Tomaten und Käse als Willkommensgruß. Gebäude und Ausstattung lassen keine Wünsche offen. Alles sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Traumhafter Garten mit Rückzugsmöglichkeiten zum verweilen. In der Anlage kann man Kraft tanken. Stelios Malekakis ist der perfekte Gastgeber: eine erholsame und angenehme Zeit für seine Gäste sind sein Ziel! Er ist jederzeit erreichbar und strahlt eine ansteckende Ruhe aus. Beautiful villa and gardens with first class management.

I have stayed in over three dozen villas over the years and can honestly say that Stelios is the very best Villa Manager I have ever encountered - by a very long way. He genuinely wants the villa’s guests to enjoy themselves and puts himself out to facilitate this. Before we arrived we asked him to help arrange two rental cars and a ‘Welcome Pack’. The cars were waiting for us at Heraklion Airport and he met us locally to guide us to the villa although it was getting on for midnight. He briefly showed us around the villa and returned for a much fuller briefing the following day. The Welcome Pack was very comprehensive and included some items ‘with the compliments of the villa’. Stelios’s English is good and his optional extra Thai massages, both relaxing and therapeutic, are excellent. He is quite rightly proud of the villa’s beautiful and secluded garden and lovely surrounding olive grove. He planned and maintains this garden himself and generously shares the organic fruit and vegetables that grow in it. His advice and guidance on nearby sites and restaurants to visit were also very useful and his willingness to help make our stay as comfortable as possible was much appreciated. He was a thoughtful, kind and efficient adjunct to making our stay as pleasurable as it was and he was always just a phone call away if needed. The villa itself is a delightful and architecturally interesting building. It is maintained to a very high standard and is well equipped and comfortably furnished. The twice weekly linen change and cleaning were very thorough. The living rooms are high ceilinged and cool even during our stay when local temperatures rose to about 40 degrees C. The air con in both the main room and all the bedrooms was effective and quiet. The en suite bedrooms themselves are well set out with comfortable beds and good storage. The swimming pool terraces are spacious and the main pool kept sparklingly clean. The views from the villa are terrific, looking to the sea and Goat Island in one direction and the White Mountains in the other. Although we did not really avail ourselves of it, there is a well and expensively equipped gym in the basement and the wi-fi worked well in all areas of the villa and outside around the pool & terraces. In summary, we would not hesitate in recommending this villa to anybody, especially given the friendly and thoughtful services of Stelios who always went the extra mile to give us a delightful and memorable vacation.

Vidunderlig ramme om en dejlig ferie

Fantastisk smukt beliggende bolig med udsigt over havet og en dejlig stor grund med blomster, vinplanter, grøntsager og masser af oliventræer. En god ramme om en familieferie for 8 voksne og et lille barnebarn, med masser af plads til alle i et stort og godt vedligeholdt hus, som har alt hvad man kan ønske sig, både ude og inde. Stelios var en utrolig stor hjælp, både før og under opholdet, med hjælp til billeje og indkøb på ankomstdagen (vi ankom sent og sultne) og iøvrigt gode råd undervejs. Dejlig ferie i et hus vi gerne kommer tilbage til.

Exceptional!!!!!

Stelios is an amazing host. His property is clean, modern and comfortable. It is rare to find places with bathrooms in each of the rooms. We visited with 4 other families and were very comfortable in all of the rooms. His welcome basket was delicious and he organized an unforgettable meal, actually two meals with a private chef. Probably the best food we ate while visiting Crete!

Very nice setting and nice public areas. The rooms are also nice. However, the bathrooms are rundown. Main bathroom has a jacuzzi which is in bad shape. Other rooms showers are very squeezed abs uncomfortable. The ammenities are also sub optimal with one small bootle of shampoo and shower gel in each bathroom. The pool, in contradiction to the owner's claim is not heated, and if it does then very poorly so. Impossible to dip in if the temperature outside is less than real hot. Total disappointment. The house has virtually almost no games or otherwise thought through attention to make the guests entertained. Only one game board which is ridiculous. It is very basic to have a variety of board games and the likes when you go away to a remote place. The house bound sure use other facilities like table tennis or billiard or/and fitness equipment. The TVs screened are small and such a place could use a more central large entertainment facility. That is very unfortunate as basically if one does not bring something to play with or to do, you are likely to be totally bored. We used a local catering arranged by the owner which cooked fingers and breakfasts. They are truly nice, very reasonabley priced and extremely accommodating and friendly, doing their utmost to adhere to your desires. I highly recommend stickers no yo fish and local 'home made' dishes where the family who caters excels! All in all the attitude of everyone: cleaners, owner and service people is exceptional and if not for the unfortunate faults and lack of attention to what should be included in the Villa to make the stay more fun and interactive, it could be a dream of a.vacation

Modern Comfortable House with Beautiful Views

We enjoyed our stay at Villa AnnaNiko immensely! The house was well-appointed with all the modern ammenities, had a beautiful design and layout, a wonderful heated pool and gorgeous views. In addition, we were welcome to pick tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs for our meals, from the local garden. Stelios, the manager, was extremely helpful with tips on the island. He and his crew came to clean and maintain the house twice each week during our two week stay, and did a thorough and impressive job. We are very much looking forward to returning in future.

Villa Annaniko is a spectacular piece of architecture - gracious, modern and spare. It's views are breathtaking - a long sweep of hillside and blue sea in one direction; the stunning White Mountains in another. The property is gracious and lovely, inside and out. The interiors speak to a minimalist’s taste but are without question, elegant. The landscaping - lovingly cultivated but with a respectful nod to nature's whims - is simply inspired. Near enough to a host of stunning beaches but perched above the sea, there is much to do. Watch the skies, walk through ridiculously abundant lemon, orange, and olive groves, and laze around the pristine pools. Or better yet, do all that AND explore Western Crete's richness. If this is where you're headed, you already know how special this part of Greece is. Gorges, hikes, Minoan archeology, and ridiculously good food.
