Excellent séjour

Elena la propriétaire nous a chaleureusement accueilli et nous a donné beaucoup de conseils durant notre séjour, le fait qu’elle parle français est un avantage certain. La maison est calme, confortable, la climatisation est top ! Très bon point de départ pour visiter la région, seule point négatif la ville de Balestrate n’a aucun intérêt ! Je recommande vivement cette location !

A wonderful stay in Sicily

We couldn't have been happier! Our time at this rental was a perfect respite from our winter weather. The property was as described with a very functional kitchen with gas oven, range, well stocked dishes, pots and pans. We cooked most of our evening meals and were able to get all the groceries we needed in nearby Balestrate. Elena (the owner) was very open to helping us set up our vacation and even arranged for our auto rental who picked us up at the Palermo airport and led us to the rental property! We were met at the property just as we pulled in and given a tour of the apartment. The apartment fully met our expectations with two bedrooms and two baths with nice linens, quilts, extra blankets. Good wifi access...we were able to stream movies in the evening. Great location...we made day trips to Erice, Marsala salt flats, Greek temple ruins, Palermo. We took an excursion to Mt. Etna and stayed the night on the east side of the island...Elena recommended we not try to make THAT a day trip.

etwas abgewohnt

Tolles altes Anwesen, wie ein vierseithof. Nur eine Seite ist richtig saniert. Schon die Einfahrt ist holperig. Der schöne Innenhof ist ziemlich vergammelt. Ein paar traurige Plastikstühle unter einem schönen Baum. Könnte sehr idyllisch sein. Die Wohnung (wir hätten Nr.4) ebenfalls eigentlich schön. Boden mit Terracottafliesen. Leider nicht richtig sauber. Besonders im küchenbereich. In der Küche wäre ein Geschirrspüler toll, zumal das spülbecken Wasser verliert. Das Bad unten müsste überholt werden. Das schöne Fenster über dem Eingang ist wohl noch nie gesäubert worden. Das Bett auf der Galerie ist ein klappsofa. Sehr unbequem und zu zweit sehr eng. Eigentlich müsste alles mal gestrichen werden. kabelenden kommen überall aus den Wänden, die Lampen fehlen noch. Für die Mülltrennung fehlen Behälter in der Wohnung. Das Rauschen der Autobahn ist deutlich zu hören. Wenig schrankplatz. ein paar offene ikearegale. Einrichtung insgesamt spartanisch. Wir haben uns trotzdem nicht unwohl gefühlt.

Propriété bien située au calme mais à proximité de la mer de Palerme et de nombreux sites à visiter.Elena très agréable vous donne les renseignements judicieux pour profiter au maximum du séjour.

Es una casa reformada típica de estilo siciliano con mucho encanto. Tiene una ubicación excelente para poder visitar toda la zona y todo lo necesario para estar muy a gusto en el alojamiento,los desayunos y las cenas en el patio compartido han sido deliciosos. Queremos destacar a la propietaria,Elena, que desde el primer momento nos hizo sentir como en casa. Nos facilitó mucha información sobre la zona y nos aconsejó sobre qué y cuándo visitar ciertos lugares. Totalmente recomendable!!!

Un havre de paix

Quel bonheur de rejoindre le Baglio d’Elena après une journée de visites. Un calme absolu dans un confort simple mais très efficace. On est à proximité des grands lieux touristiques : Palerme , Segeste, Selinunte, Cefalù, les plages de Sables de Balestrate où on peut faire des courses ( 3 km) et j’en passe. Un lieu idéal pour passer des vacances en famille.

eine großzügige Wohnung in einem alten Hof

Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen. Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten und trotzdem gemütlich - wir haben nichts vermisst. Der Hof hat einen ganz besonderen Charme und und Charakter - umgeben von Obstplantagen, mit schönem Innenhof - sehr idyllisch. Das Haus ist günstig gelegen für zahlreiche Ausflugsziele - wir haben die Woche sehr abwechslungsreich genutzt: Palermo, Monreale, Erice, Selinunte, der Zingaro-Naturpark sind durch die gute Verkehrsanbindung sehr schnell zu erreichen. Wir waren im Februar hier und haben sehr geschätzt dass das Haus so gut heizbar ist! Herzlichen Dank und alles Gute an unsere freundliche Vermieterin, die wir nicht getroffen haben aber die uns aus der Ferne hervorragend betreut hat!

Un angolo di paradiso

Casa molto curata e pulita, arredata con gusto, con particolare attenzione alla scelta degli infissi, dei pavimenti, in linea con lo spirito con cui è stata recentemente ristrutturata. Nessuno di noi ( adulti e due bambini) ha sentito la mancanza della televisione. Immersa tra gli ulivi e gli aranceti, ha una sua indipendenza negli spazi interni, con terrazza panoramica. Al tempo stesso consente agli ospiti di condividere lo splendido cortile su cui si affaccia, dove bimbi ed adulti possono socializzare e muoversi in un contesto di totale libertà. Elena e Salvo sono impeccabili, sia nell'accoglienza che nella disponibilità, in ogni momento della giornata. La posizione è strategica per visitare a poca distanza la costa da Palermo a Trapani, nonché suggestivi paesi dell'entroterra come Erici ed il sito archeologico di Segesta. Da utilizzare prevalentemente la macchina per gli spostamenti, risulta molto funzionale la vicina autostrada che permette di abbreviare le distanze. In poco tempo ( 10 min in macchina) raggiungibili supermercati e servizi principali nella vicina Balestrate. Molto bella anche la spiaggia vicina alla casa ( 10 minuti in macchina), che permette lunghe passeggiate percorrendola per intero. Consigliamo in assoluto il soggiorno a chiunque ne voglia approfittare, anche nel periodo non prettamente estivo, che presumiamo possa offrire molto da vedere.

Fantastic, Friendly and Italian

We had a fantastic time in Sicily staying here. We were made to feel very welcome by Elena and her family which added to the enjoyment of our holiday. There is a communal courtyard where we, and other guests, could eat and socialise, which we did in the evening as it was too hot at lunchtime!!. Elena was very attentive and tried to ensure that we got the best from our stay. This is one of the best holidays we've had.

Perfect summer in Sicily

We had a great time this summer at la Roca. The house was fantastic for our big family and Elena is a very good host. She gave us some valuable tips about the Island that made our holiday very special. The property is stunning and we can't wait to be back.
