About the property

2 Bedrooms 2 1/2 Baths , Infinity Pool, Ocean View And 2 Acres Of Privacy.

The Rose family invites you to enjoy our slice of paradise. Casa Rosa presents two air conditioned master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms which include large slate garden showers. A great room with ceiling fan and tasteful tropical appointments. A well equipped kitchen with coffeemaker, blender and microwave included. An extra half bath completes the space. The casa has been freshly painted inside and out. The outdoor living space with infinity pool and barbeque boasts ocean and jungle views. Our casa is on almost two very private acres of hillside and has a small waterfall with a maintained stair case. The gardens exhibit abundant flora and fauna. Toucans and Howler Monkeys are frequent visitors. The sounds of the surf and rainforest complete your Costa Rica experience. We have a two wheel access road with gated driveway. Within 500 meters is a small eco- lodge with outstanding Whales Tail and ocean views. Take a day off from cooking and enjoy their cuisine. The lodge could also be utilized to accommodate extra guests in your party. There are many other excellent dining options, ranging from casual/local to fine cuisine, within a short drive.

The Uvita area makes a great home base for exploring Manuel Antonio and Marino Ballena National Parks, The Osa peninsula, Cano Island and Dominical. The beaches in the area are endless, unpopulated, clean and the water is warm and clear. Other amenities of the area are fishing, snorkeling, diving, surfing, hiking, waterfalls, ATV tours, whale and dolphin watching, kayaking, zip lines and horseback riding. Shopping is very good and fresh fish and shrimp are available from the local fishermen. The farmer's market on Saturday mornings with fresh fruit, vegetables and baked goods will complete your menu. What ever your desires may be our property managers can assist you in making it happen.

Great Stay in a Tropical Paradise

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Casa Rosa! The view was awesome! You can see the Whales Tale and tropical canopy all around. It was very private and peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked and the house had plenty of bedding and towels. There is a Boutique hotel up the road and it was convenient to walk up there for a cocktail and view of the sunset. Case Rosa included daily music and sightings from the Howler monkeys, McCaws, and others. It was conveniently located to both Uvita and Dominical. The Zip line, wildlife refuge, and many water falls are nearby. Christine and Tom were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

WOW…just WOW!!

  • 5 of 5

This house and this trip has far exceeded my expectations! I am a cynic, and I believe no matter how good the reviews and photos are, you never truly know what you’re going to get until you get there. Well, when I got to Casa Rosa, I was so impressed! I was shocked by how much nicer it was in person. The house is clean and updated, with a floorpan perfect for 2 couples with or without children. The view of the jungle, ocean, and surrounding hills is expansive and just breathtaking and absolutely cannot be captured by a picture (trust me, I tried many times). The pool is perfect for a quick dip whenever you need to cool off, which we did several times a day. There isn’t another house in sight, so its soooo easy to just relax and unplug and completely unwind. And a special shout out to the management team, Christine and Tom. They went out of their way to make sure we had the information we needed to make our trip safe and fun, and were always available. Thank you!! We will be back Casa Rosa!

Casa Rosa is great !

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Casa Rosa for the second year in a row. Still did not disappoint. We again were impressed by the property managers and their attention to our needs. The house is kept in great condition and the owners are always adding things. Hopefully we will get back there next year.

My favorite vacation destination

  • 5 of 5

I have had the pleasure of visiting Casa Rosa several times and it is my favorite vacation destination. I start the day with a wake up call by the monkeys passing through the jungle on their way to forage for the day. Next is a visit to one of of the nearby playas Baru, Dominical, Dominicalito, Hermosa, Ballena, Vantanas and Tortuga. One for each day of the week! There are great dining venues nearby from Ojochal to Dominical. Each visit I discover a new favorite. This year was the Jolly Roger. Great pizza ,wings and burgers. The view and breezes are worth the ride up the gravel road. The Road House is also nice for sandwiches and salads. Saturday at the Uvita farmers market provides an abundance of fresh fruits, veggies and baked goods as well as wares from local artisans. Not to be missed are the beach venders in Dominical . If nothing else it's a great people watching venue. This year I visited the Boruga Village , an indigenous tribe in the mountains to the south east. They are known for their colorful carved masks. The village has a museum with demonstrations on carving, weaving and using plants to produce their dyes. Casa Rosa has amazing sunsets with daily dusk visits by the Toucans. The infinity pool is the perfect place to end the day. A new addition this year is a Guanacaste slab bar and hanging day bed on the covered patio. Nice for an afternoon snooze or reading. Adios Casa Rosa until next year!

Incredible house in Uvita

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 - 2 adults / 2 seven year olds stayed for 10 days. The house and location were perfect for our needs: jungle exploration, surfing in Dominical / Uvita, day trips to Sierpe environs, and lounging around the awesome pool/patio.

The property managers were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We will surely return and stay again.

Perfect house for us

  • 5 of 5

Casa Rosa was everything the VRBO site said. It has a wonderful setting and it was great watching the full moon set over the ocean. The howler monkeys woke us up in the morning as did all the birds. The pool was such a bonus. We spent the afternoons cooling off in it and then watched the sunset from the pool. I would recommend this to any one who wants to be away from it all and yet have the modern conveniences. I will be back!
