This large 2,800 square foot, two-story mountain home backs up to the beautiful Blue River wetlands. Enjoy the open views of Pacific Peak and Crystal Peak from this family retreat. Lodge pole pines, quaking aspens, willow bushes and other native foliage surround the home and provide the ultimate backdrop while not blocking views of the Tenmile range. The wetlands attract various mountain wildlife, such as the neighborhood moose.
Inside the home, you will enjoy two open living areas, each with its own fireplace and flat screen television. The modern amenities in the kitchen, such as granite countertops and a gas stovetop, compliment the alpine wood craftsmanship. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to cook for a crowd. The kitchen, which seats 10 people at the counter and table, opens to the bright and comfortable family room.
The dining room, which seats an additional 8 people, opens to the vaulted ceilings and large windows in the living room. The living room and family room can be separated by glass French doors, to allow kids to play games in the family room, while the adults enjoy a game of cards in the living room and dining room.
The four bedrooms are all on the second floor. The large master bedroom features a queen bed, flat screen TV, large walk-in closet and a beautiful en suite bathroom.
Two additional bedrooms both have queen beds and televisions. The final bedroom is perfect for kids, with two sets of bunk beds, for a total of four twin beds. There is also a second full bath, which has a separated shower and large counter and vanity.
Enjoy the fresh air and mountain views while relaxing on the deck. Build a fire and enjoy some ‘smores in the fire pit. Gaze at the millions of stars from the Arctic Spa hot tub.
We also provide wireless internet and cable television.

About Nancy and Greg Zuercher
Greg, a native Chicagoan, moved out to Breckenridge in 1994 after graduating from Michigan State University. Growing up skiing in the Midwest, Greg had the love for the sport, but had never experienced mountain living until he moved out to Colorado. After settling in Denver in 2004, Greg met Nancy, a Colorado native from Black Forest. Nancy graduated from University of Northern Colorado and received her Master’s Degree from University of Denver in 2008. We got married in 2008 and our first son, Charlie, was born in 2009 while Emmett followed in 2011. We reside full time in Greenwood Village, Colorado
Nancy and Greg Zuercher purchased this House in 2014
Why Nancy and Greg Zuercher chose Blue River
We have been renting homes in Breckenridge for 10 years with the last six years specifically renting in the Blue River area. We would rent homes with friends and family and as everyone’s families started to grow, the size of the homes and proximity to town drew us to Blue River. Being able to drive five minutes out of town to a more serene environment drew us to this neighborhood.
What makes this House unique
As our family grew and the young boys started to ski, we started to look at properties in Blue River. After almost a year of looking, we were ready to make an offer after our first visit to this home. Walking into the home and seeing the wood craftsmanship was certainly inviting, but after walking into the kitchen and family room and seeing the views of the wetlands and peaks on the Tenmile range, we were sold. The home is polar opposite to our modern-eclectic home in Greenwood Village. The wood mantels above both fireplaces, exposed wood support beams, railings, and trim is something that gives us the feel of a real mountain escape. Another important aspect is the floor plan, as we wanted all the bedrooms to be in the same area. With years of renting homes in the past, there was always a certain amount of discomfort when the young children were sleeping on separate floors from the parent. Also, the ability for some to stay up late and not bother the others sleeping is certainly nice rather than having bedrooms on the main living area or below the living area where it would keep people up. Lastly, the two living areas and fireplaces are important. Being able to have kids congregate in one area, with adults in another is a bonus.

Great house. Enjoyed staying there immensely. Kitchen was well stocked and bedrooms were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this property
House was beautiful and well maintained. It was stocked with everything you could possibly want/need😁
The home is immaculate! Nancy and Greg truly care about your vacation experience. The rooms are wonderful, the kitchen amenities are plentiful, hot tub, cable, WiFi, a garage for the car - the works! The snow removal team was so efficient we never missed a day on the slopes. We even had a visit from the neighborhood moose!! Nancy and Greg also allow for pets which really reduced kennel stress with our eight days away.
Fantastic home 5 minutes from Breckenridge
We had a great stay in January. This home is as advertised. All bedrooms are upstairs, but very well separated from each other for a little extra privacy. Nice wood burning fireplace, and also a gas fireplace in the main living room. We would definitely stay again.
There were 7 of us adults staying in this lovely home over Christmas. Plenty of room for everyone, two living/family rooms and a large kitchen to entertain in! There are 3 bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with two sets of bunk beds so plenty of sleeping room for all. The hot tub was a HUGE hit with our skiers. The hot tub is located right off the deck so easy access. The owners are gracious and answered all of our questions via text message with quick responses. They have a spa service that checks on the hot tub and also a snow removal service that keeps the decks and driveway clear. The neighborhood is beautiful and perfect for walking around in the snow! We can’t say enough good about this beauty and we will be going back next year again!! Loved it!!
Breckenridge in summer 2017
If you are looking for a place to stay, this is your home away from home!!! It is in a beautiful setting with everything you need. We couldn't have been happier with this house and all its amenities. We hope to be able to stay there again in a couple of years. Thanks for sharing your home Greg and Nancy.
Our home is just four miles south of Breckenridge on Hwy 9, overlooking the Blue River and the wetlands. We are walking distance to great trails, including a kid-friendly trail that follows Blue River for less than a mile as well as the Blue River Trail, which is a mountain biking trail that leads all the way to Breckenridge.
