"Wow--What an amazing residence this is! We didn't want for anything, and the views were just majestic. Home theatre, hot tub, pool table and much, much more. Such a fun and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend!"

  • The Mountains are Calling! You Must Go!

"Leadville is the perfect town for a summer mountain hiking vacation, and this place is in the heart of it all. Large, spacious, and with good updating, it easily will hold 6 people with three bedrooms and two baths (unlike many owners who tend to over-state how many people their house can hold, the 6 stated is really 6). The large open floor plan (kitchen/Dining/Living room are all open) in the front of the house makes it seem even larger than it is, especially with 9 foot ceilings! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook, with a nice new refrigerator and serviceable electric stove/oven. My only (sort of) negative comment isn't something that the owner can resolve: the historic houses on this street were built extremely close together, so the two adjacent houses are less than 10 feet on either side (see owners pic of the front, no surprises). You won't get anything in the way of mountain views from the side windows, SO GET OUTSIDE instead! 30 minute drive to Mount Elbert and Massive, and a short walk to downtown Leadville, 2 blocks to the train station for a tourist ride! I will stay here again next year (or sooner)!"

  • Peaceful Delight

"I booked the Cloud City Cottage last minute. Nancy was extremely attentive, kind and all around great to work pith. She responded promptly to the times I had questions. She even offered us to come stay a night earlier at no addition expense. That's right you heard me:) Thank you Nancy very much! The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing, it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud, wow. We hiked, checked out Cooper and Copper Ski Resort. I did get a touch of altitude sickness because I didn't hydrate enough. Drink water, then some more. Or maybe the absinthe helped cause the nausea. I can't remember the name of the bar but it is 1.5 block walk from the cottage. A gem for sure. There was live music and the absinthe experience is truly unique. Thank you again Nancy. We will be back in the winter."

  • Cute, Cozy Cabin perfect for a Colorado Getaway!

"This Cabin was a great home base for a Mt. Elbert climb and some white water rafting, and minutes away from Leadville. A nice front porch or back deck were perfect choices for that morning coffee. The cabin came nicely equipped with linens and cleaning supplies. The washer and dryer worked perfectly, and the kitchen had all the necessary items to help you make your own home cooked meals. There was a huge refrigerator, and the hanging television by the wood burning stove was perfect to watch the Olympics after the day's activities. Wireless internet and Dish Network were included and appreciated by our party of 4, 2 fathers and 2 sons enjoying a Colorado adventure. The cabin utilized it's square footage nicely, and the loft was a fun hideaway to sleep 2 comfortably. There were even 2 axes to split wood for fire in the stove, or in the ring outside. There was plenty of great firewood covered up from the elements to make this possible. We could tell the owner cared about the furnishings and amenities for her guests. The owner was fantastic at responding to our questions and returned emails promptly and also supplied her cell number should we have needed to talk to her directly. We had an awesome time and would definitely come back. Perhaps a winter trip to enjoy the coziness around the wood burning stove or some snow shoeing on nearby trails. That should be easier than our trip to the summit, 7 minutes of pictures, and our race down to beat the oncoming thunderstorm... Thanks for helping us make some good memories!"
