Hope to return!
Lovely spot on Lake Champlain-views are spectacular. Great family home, plenty of space. Location great-close to everything the area has to offer yet quiet and peaceful. That view!!
It was our 2nd time and it was just as wonderful as the first except for the barking dogs next door
Loved the house, location and spaciousness.
The barking dog was our own (Sheri and MIchael's) new jackapoo, Trixie. She has now been trained and so have we - to not leave her out when we are not at home. Apologies Lou.
This was a family gathering to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We all loved it.
The home and location are excellent. It offers terrific views and sunsets. The screened in porch was a family favorite with great views and sheltered from north winds. The location provides great access to markets, restaurants and attractions. Sheri and Michael were helpful when we needed more information.
Well appointed vacation home for large family with gorgeous views!
My family rented this property to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. This house comfortably slept 8 adults and 3 children ages 5 and under.
We thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee and evening sunsets on the screened porch and open deck overlooking Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for family meals and gatherings. Parking for our 4 cars was not a problem, and we made good use of the spacious yard for lounging, a kiddie pool (not provided) and outdoor dining.
Lake access was slightly less than perfect. While the landing and stairs down to the beach were beautiful and well kept, the beach itself consists of large boulders and a rocky bottom shore. Navigating these boulders was not as accessible for young children. The beach did not lend itself to sitting or spending long amounts of time by the water fishing or swimming. The kayaks provided were great. This property would greatly benefit from a dock to further avail renters to the joys of being on the lake.
Overall, we had a delightful stay at this lake house and recommend it highly.
Corey,
Thank you so much for the high recommendation. Yes, while we have 160' of lake frontage, classic smooth sandy beaches are rare here on Lake Champlain. Nevertheless, there is room for multiple chaise lounges (which we now have down at the lake). We do recommend water shoes as the ground at the beach is pebbly in parts. Nevertheless, we feel this is one of the best swimming spots on Shelburne Bay - very clean and very gradual slope. We have built a lovely furnished lakefront deck about 10' above the water, with access by a brand new wood stair case and then several steps of broad natural flat stones to the swimming area. You are right that very young children should go down to the water supervised. I will be posting pictures of the lake deck and frontage soon. Thank you again.
Convenient and beautiful escape
This is a very special property! It was perfect for our group of 12 extended family members looking for something different to do for a Vermont visit. Our group was a mix of some locals and some from far away, and this location gave us a unique opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy the best of Vermont and Lake Champlain.
We chose this home for its ultra-convenient location, lake access, and big screened-in porch, which came in handy during Vermont's typical June rainstorms. We were able to enjoy incredible lake views and sunsets from the porch, the back deck, and through the many large windows. The home is modern, well designed and well decorated, and the open floor plan allowed us to be together without ever feeling cramped. There's lots of space to enjoy a group gathering or find some quiet time, indoors and out. The kitchen is large and well appointed, which gave us the ability to make dinners for 12 almost every night. The house came with two kayaks and provided lots of outdoor space for games, which we took advantage of heartily. In addition, the neighborhood is delightful and peaceful, perfect for a short stroll.
We would gladly recommend this home to anyone!
It was a delight hosting you and your wonderful family and are thrilled that you enjoyed the lake house. We agree that it is a special place... so close to Burlington yet so private and quiet and comfortable. You are welcome back anytime! Thanks so much for the kind words.

Great location, great house.
We had a reunion and the location could not be better. It is in Shelburne Bay and a short drive or Uber to downtown Burlington. Plenty of room, great outdoor spaces and friendly owners. You can't go wrong staying here. Nothing compares to a Burlington sun set in the summer.
Location
Great location in South Burlington, located in the center of Chittenden County. Drives under 20 minutes can get you to a plethora of shopping, eating and outdoor adventures. Visit the Burlington Waterfront (only 3 miles away) for a stroll on the board walk or our world class bike path . Be sure to walk down Church Street for a variety of street performers and wonderful local shops. The area has theater options (both live and on the big screen), wineries, specialty shops, organic and natural grocery stores, box stores (in Williston) and the Outlet shopping at The Essex Outlets.
