Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The penthouse itself was excellent—clean, modern, and spacious enough that everyone had room without feeling on top of each other, balcony was a great hangout in the morning and evenings, and overall very comfortable and well-maintained. Some exterior maintenance was underway and needed, including paint touch-ups and cleaning environmental weathering on the buildings. The beach was very nice with soft white sand and clear blue water. Minor drawbacks were the hot tubs being out of service and having to walk the beach scanning for unclaimed chairs or umbrellas, as there weren’t enough available for everyone. Nothing was within easy walking distance for groceries or food, but it was very quiet, which is the trade-off. Some of the concierge services were overpriced for what you got. Overall, it was a great vacation.

We've been coming to Mexico every year for a very long time. There are so many options as to where one would stay. We've done all-inclusive resorts, fancy homes, you name it. We enjoy the neighborhood where this home is located. It's definitely very Mexican, with mostly locals living there. We like the atmosphere better here, as it gives us a good idea of how many live in Mexico. If we wanted a fancy resort, where we don't explore our surroundings, we might as well stay in the USA, and not travel to other countries.

The apartment was great, perfect for our family of 5. Location and services were awesome. The staff management as well as the owners very helpful and responsive. The service level from everyone even the people at the gate was exceptional. Thank you all for making our stay great!

Our recent stay at Azul Fives was a fantastic experience! I can say that that my family of 6 would love to return to this condo every year! The condo was set up perfectly for our family. There are 2 private areas to the condo which made it very nice for our family. The condo is very spacious and nicely decorated. It was extremely clean and the cleaning staff visited daily. It exceeded our expectations on many levels. The kitchen is stocked with the necessities only, so no extra clutter which was nice. If you are planning to do a lot of food preparation, you will definitely want to check with the property owner to see what is available. We would have liked to have a toaster to use. One of the reasons we chose this property is because of the option of choosing to go all inclusive for any portion of our stay. We opted to do 4 days of activities outside of the resort so paying for an all inclusive resort seemed unnecessary. We paid for 2 days of the all inclusive plan and we found it worth the cost of $60 for adults and $30 for children under 12. The food was great and quite kid-friendly. The Thai restaurant was excellent. You can choose the days you go all inclusive and there is no minimum days you need to participate in the plan. You can certainly pay to eat on the property too, but we opted to venture out to eat on the days we didn't participate in the all inclusive plan. We rented a car and parking was simple at the resort. The staff at the Fives club, where you check in, were fantastic. They helped make dinner reservations, which I highly recommend. They also informed us that we had the benefit of using one of the beds on the beach at no cost for one day of our stay. This was a great perk! The resort is big but there are staff driving golf carts that will take you where you want to go if you'd like. Fun daily activities and great nightly entertainment. Condo is steps to Lizards pool and restaurant which ended up being our favorite spot at the resort! Don't leave the resort without checking out the beautiful trail through the jungle. There are birds to watch, monkeys in the trees and even a wild pig who wanders about in an area not accessible by guests. The resort is located within 10-15 minutes of Xcaret, Xplor, 5th Avenue and the ferry to Cozumel. I would also recommend going to Akumal beach to snorkel with the sea turtles which is a 35 min drive. I would definitely recommend this condo to others and look forward to future stays.
