This condo is a beautifully appointed poolside unit with a huge living room balcony to extend your living space even further!

The condo has two separate bedrooms (each with an en-suite washroom) and an additional half bath off the living area.

Choose to add an All Inclusive package for $83 per person per day (50% less for children under 12) OR self-cater in the modern, fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and stainless appliances. Easy access to the local Walmart makes this option a breeze.

Transfer to and from Cancun Airport can be easily arranged in advance, removing any transportation hassles upon your arrival. You’ll be met by a representative and led to a waiting van. In my opinion, this is the only way to go!

Additional on-property amenities include an amazing selection of 5-star restaurants and your choice of swim up bars; a personal butler to take care of any additional needs; supervised full-time kids club; tennis court with a coach available each morning; beachside chairs and beds; all types of activities throughout the day; evening entertainment; a teen club; a workout gym and a spa.

About Lori Bodkin

I bought this gorgeous property during the initial construction phase- long before the infinity pool, clubhouse or restaurants were built. I have literally watched the property as it has developed and grown up all around us. In fact, every time I visit, there are new amenities on offer and changes that makes it just like Christmas. Discovering all the changes on property makes it feel like the first time all over again! It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I'd never really spent a lot of time in Mexico before, but I love the colour of the Caribbean ocean - that endless stretch of turquoise water. The location of The Fives is in my opinion - totally perfect. Not so close to the town that the beaches are just endless stretches of lounge chairs in front of resort after resort - but not too far away from Playa del Carmen or Tulum and the additional entertainment on offer. A short taxi ride away - just minutes from town.

My adult kids love the property as much as I do - and I've had my parents, my brother and friends spend time there - all walking away with the same feeling. They loved it. So I know that it appeals to all age ranges - and that there really is something for everyone.

What makes this condo unique

The condo is set up so that the master bedroom is off of the living room and kitchen - yet there is another separate space off the main entrance that is a world unto itself. This condo is in the perfect location on the property. You can sit on the huge balcony and people watch all day long. It's a short walk along the pathway to the beach - literally a few minutes away. The beach area is a more 'happening' place with music, games, shows and private events, but the condo is just far enough that you don't hear it at all. This really is a fabulous place to have fun or just unwind.

Outstanding quality and price value for this condo

This was our first time at this condo and it was truly a wonderful stay. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. We did not OPT for the all inclusive since we had a rental car and knew the area well, we explored and cooked often in the condo.

The view from the main (very big!) balcony was so peaceful, through palm tree overlooking the pool/river, those rivers wind through resorts and some end in quiet pool bar coves.

We traveled with our 8 year old twins, the layout of the condo was perfect, since the kids room included their own bathroom/shower/toilet is away from rest of condo, right when you walk into condo, there is a entry hall, there you have the 2 split of going to 2nd bedroom and (or) going to kitchen/living/master.

We also had a balcony going out from master bedroom and another one going out from 2nd bedroom, which made it easy for everyone's privacy and easy to hang up towels, swim suits, etc. to dry.

There were some minor non-functioning/repair items that came up during stay, we made sure to inform the owner right away, she was responsive to our concerns and we communicated effectively. She really did not interfere with our time in the condo, although she wanted to make the requested repairs.

Our butler was wonderful, he was there for us when we had questions, needed water and more and ice for our fridge. We were also told about a couple of great local restaurants that we tried and were wonderful, not in the resort, see later in review.

The condo is an incredible value, also due to our EARLY booking.

Our children loved the Azulitos, the resort's kids club. It was very affordable, especially since we were not on the all-inclusive plan. They do crafts, water balloon fights, beach and pool time (they have a small pool in kids club but also take bigger ones to beach pool), they do beach soccer and many more activities.

Our kids favorite was the LITTLE GYM at the kids club, great equipment and the employees were all very sweet.

The resort itself is gorgeous, they keep it very clean, but still in a way that you don't see workers all day or hear noise. (It was the) Same for evening activities, they have various shows by the beach/pool as well as in the village, which is closer to this condo. You could never hear ONE sound at the condo, very calm.

We loved this place so much, kids said, best vacation ever, the beach was gorgeous, clean and saw lots of fishes. Thanks Lori, hugs from the Desert

Amazing accomodations, Amazing time!

We've spent 6 faboulous days at Lori's place! Lori does a great job at replying to emails promptly. The wife and I traveled with our 3 kids ages 10 - 15, the resort staff and the buttlers were all ready to help / cater to you. The building location of the condo is nicely situated, and very close proximity to the beach and all the restaurants within the property, in fact, that's one of the best things in my opinion about the resort, a very short stroll away from your room yo all the restaurants, bars and the beach. The beach area is also great and the infinity pool full with activities through out the day. Been back for two weeks, and looking at available dates to book our next trip.

2nd Consecutive Year: Condo Owners are Great - Spotty On Site Service

This was our second year that we stayed in this condo. The headline is that we love going there and overall, the property provides for a great vacation! We have NO COMPLAINTS about our vacation, but there are some things I would have liked to know or expect as a vacationer:


Lori was great, patient, responsive and helpful. She even helped book our ground transportation from/to the airport with Canada transfers who were early, professional and provided great service. She also checked in while we were at the property to ensure everything was going smoothly.


When you book with an owner, check-in is with the Fives Club (the owners club) v. the front desk. The only hiccup/expectation here is that they were closed when we arrived. We were still able to get into the unit, but we had to wait until after 9:00 am the next morning to get our all inclusive cards. So - depending upon when you plan to arrive - you probably won't want the all-inclusive the first day.

The Unit:

The unit itself is perfect for our needs. It was clean, had all the amenities that we needed with the exception of use of the washer/dryer. There's one in the unit, but not for renters' use. We went in July and with the humidity and heat, would have liked to wash some of our clothes. There is a musty odor upon entry, but that is standard for the area (friends at the Viceroy next door had the same odor). The unit has everything you need whether or not you're doing the all-inclusive. Separation of bedrooms is great. The balcony view is perfect and the location within the complex is perfect.


Azul Fives added more units since last year and they are adding more. This means is that there were FAR more people this year than last - meaning reservations for the restaurants was critical and getting a chair by the pool all but impossible (yes, the 'chair savers' are out early). Making reservations presented a bit of a challenge for us because we had no way to communicate with our butler. We made reservations twice through the Fives club that were not actually made. Not a big deal as there were other options. We also made use of the tennis court daily which wasn't an issue since it was so hot - demand was low. The activities staff is amazing and there's always something to do (or nothing) for everyone. The food was good - room service was faster than last year. The beach / ocean area was very clean this year. Bar service was great, too!

Cohabiting a week with cockroaches

We received the condo with serious cleaning problems, especially in the kitchen. The oven was food scraps inside and the refrigerator gushed water through the door. But that wasn´t the worst. The next day we started seeing cockroaches inside the kitchen drawers. The situation was improving day by day and quantity of insects increased. We watch as insects walked through our food. Immediately I claimed to the hotel but they informed us that the condo was out of the hotel management and for any inconvenience we had to talk to the owner. That's because the owner doesn´t pay the maintenance fee for to the hotel solves the problems that happen.

The owner authorized a fumigation. After fumigation we had to leave the condo by the nauseating odor was left. Just we could return again in the afternoon and then open all the windows so the smell is gone. Moreover, we had to wash all utensils and clean the cabinets as these tasks were not included in the cleaning service. We decided for not use the kitchen and eating at the resort's restaurants, which caused us additional costs.

After all claims, the owner offered refound us only $ 200 of cleaning fee, but he never did. He told me that the day we left, they checked the apartment and verified that TV didn´t work. That is not true because we use the TV only twice and worked normally. The TV is old and should be changed and control department should be done before we go and if there is something broken report it at that time, not a week after we left. Be careful before booking this property.

Owner's Response: This guest did indeed experience some issues during their stay that I worked hard to rectify , however this guest had more complaints during their one week than I have had in total over the past 3 years. Unfortunately, there was a problem with dirty dishes being left in the sink. I had the resort send cleaners asap. The guests noted cockroaches in the unit so I hired people to empty the cupboards of all food items and again, clean the kitchen cupboards thoroughly. When they continued to express concerns about the insects, the guests demanded to be moved to another condo (not something in my control) - I checked with the resort to confirm that there was availability and offered to refund the balance of the guest's stay so they could move into another condo. They refused. When they continued to be unhappy, they insisted that I fumigate, I did so and then once again, had a cleaning crew go into the condo to clean everything thoroughly, When they were still dissatisfied, they insisted that I cover the cost of the all-inclusive plan for their family of 6 which would have provided them with a free week in the condo and an additional sum of money paid on their behalf. I refused. This same family demanded additional services at no extra cost from the resort staff citing that I told them in an email that those services were free - I did not. In total, I spoke with the resort staff 4 times and communicated with this guest 9 times in the week they were there. I responded immediately to every concern. I did everything they requested and more. On an interesting note, the previous guest who departed the same day these guests arrived is a personal friend. I immediately called them to see if they had noticed any cockroaches or other insects during their stay and I was told that they didn't see a single one. The guest who stayed immediately after this guest is the co-owner of the condo and he noted that the TV in the second bedroom was not working. Curious how I wasn't told about that issue. The TV has since been replaced. This condo is our second home - we are not part of the hotel rental pool which means that any maintenance required is at our cost. We are continually updating the condo and it is a never-ending cycle. We rely on our guest and the staff we hire to inform us of any deficiencies. This is a beautiful condo in an incredible resort and we do our best to make sure our guests have a fabulous time for a very reasonable rate.

Awesome... Just Awesome

From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. Lori is an excellent owner, she communicates well, is attentive and concerned about us, and told the truth about her place. Our butler was great from the moment we drove onto the property. He covered every detail with us, connected our devices to the internet, answered all our questions, and worked with us throughout the week to make sure we were having a good time. The rest of the staff could not have been more friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Azul 5's management team has to be amazing to maintain a staff so well trained and functional. That's the human side. The condo is everything the pictures show and more. It is a comfortable place to unwind and hang out. The resort is top notch and the beach is just beautiful. The plants, grounds, and walk ways are well planned and maintained. Restaurants are excellent too. Thanks for a great experience!

We had a fantastic time....I went with my husband 2 girls 7 and 12 and my mom.....Lori helped me with all the details from knowing what to expect to how to book my transfers. The condo is beautiful. ...we did the all inclusive. Our butler made all the reservations for dinner. The food was fantastic. Loved all the different resturants. This is one of the best resorts I have been too....I am extremely picky on my all inclusives......lots of families....they always ask about allergies...they have baby food gluten free etc....The staff are overly helpful with anything u need. Even tough the resort probably was full it did not feel so....the pools are complaints here.....the only thing is when u check in make sure u tell them u are renting from an owner....there is a separate check in. ...
