The recently restored apartment is located in a building of the 17th century, in the historic center itself, 2 steps from the famous « Place aux herbes « where a typical Provencal market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday.
The flat is located on the third and upper floor and offers a view of the 4 towers of the city.
The 80 M2 living room opens on to the spacious and fully equipped kitchen.

Fabulous Apartment in the Center of Uzès

We couldn’t have been happier with this elegant, well appointed apartment in beautiful Uzès. Large and comfortable with nice furniture and artwork, a well equipped kitchen and a lovely terrace, it allowed us to feel like we were at home for a week. Thanks to Marleen for her attention to detail and the restaurants she recommended at our request. Uzès is the perfect charming small town from which to explore this beautiful corner of France. We’re already planning our next trip!

Nice apartment but dont stay here in the summer!!

This apartment is well positioned and well equipped. However, there were several things that I would like other holiday makers to be aware of. Despite having internet, it was not working and not until the last day did the owner really make any effort to sort it out. Despite sending emails to the owner to ask for a contribution towards all the drinks we had to have in the local cafe with internet, no recompense was offered. We really needed internet and that was why we chose this apartment. Be warned, there is no air conditioning in this flat. It is high up (lots of steps) and there is no way to cool down. It was so hot that we all slept in the lounge . There was one mini fan for the whole flat. It was way too hot for July in Uzes. We live in Australia and we are used to the heat but this was unbearable. Also be aware that the cost does not include city taxes, gas, bedding and sheets. THis does add to the cost. However, the flat itself was clean, tidy and in a great position.

We are very sorry about your bad experience in our apartement. There is no air conditioning in the flat and the month of July was indeed exceptionnaly warm in Uzes this year. Internet works very well as of now. We faced a provider problem during your stay ; we couldn’t do anything about it and we hope it won’t happen again. We can not include the city tax (0,82 € / day) in the price because it is demanded by the city council. We offer a linen rent service (15 € /week). Once again, we are very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay in Uzes. We are doing our best to welcome people warmly in our place.

Lage der Wohnung ist super, die Wohnung wunderschön; da wirklich in der Innenstadt mit vielen Restaurants nicht immer ganz ruhig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Schöne Wohnung und doch enttäuscht

Leider war das zweite Schlafzimmer nicht nutzbar.!! Zu heiss zum Schlafen, trotz geöffneten Fenstern. Die Heizung konnte in der ganzen Wohnung nicht reguliert werden. Erfahren haben wir nur, dass die Heizung repariert werden muss. Die Besitzerin zeigte kein Verständnis, und schrieb, dass sie das Problem nicht verstehe, wir sollen die Fenster öffnen. Auf Mietreduktionsanfrage kam 50.-Euro.bei einem Gesamtpreis von mehr als 1200.- Euro. Fazit: Diese Wohnung hätte zu dieser Zeit nicht für 4 Erwachsene vermietet werden dürfen. So schade!!! Wir waren sehr entäuscht. Schlafcomfort ist sehr wichtig!! Jetzt haben wir keine Lust mehr mit FEWO zu buchen.Schade

Beautiful, quiet and 2 minutes from Place aux Herbes

Beautifully kept, clean and quiet place to have a vacation together. It would be more appropriate for more than two people, somewhat more than we two needed. Lots of lights to read by. Heat really works if you need it. At the top of three flights of stairs, you'll get your daily exercise too!

Nice large flat in great location in old Uzes.

We had a great time at the flat. Everything we needed was close by and views were superb. Marleen was very efficient in communication and provided all necessary information. We parked for free in a lot that was little stroll from the flat but suited us and no issues leaving it there for 9 nights. We had wonderful meals on the terrace from food purchased around town. Access to scores of restaurants. Just loved our time there. There are 3 floors of stairs to get to the apartment, if you have an issue with that. Uzes is a gem of a town!

Wonderful, charming and spacious flat right in the heart of Uzès

We come to the Gard every few years or so, and usually stay in a house in the countryside. This time, we decided to stay in the beautiful town of Uzès. We highly recommend this flat located right in the center of town. It is such a lovely place, wonderfully decorated, with everything you need. We had immediate access to shopping (including the Wednesday and Saturday market in the square), excellent dining, and historic sightseeing right outside our door. Our contact Nadine was prompt, extremely attentive, and very friendly. In terms of the place itself, it was very clean with beautiful lighting, and stunning views of the historic town on all sides. The living room is huge, the dining room has a nice large table with a full kitchen with everything you need for cooking, and the outside patio is awesome (we spent a lot of time there enjoying the nice weather). My wife and I slept in the room on the main floor, and our son slept upstairs. Everyone was happy. I can imagine that the living room could also be used to sleep 1-2 more, if needed. Potential considerations: * There is no washing machine. However, there is an excellent, affordable laundromat very close by. * There is only one toilet. We were only three people so this was not an issue. * It does not come with parking, but there is free parking about a 5-10 minute walk, which worked perfectly well for us. * It is a top floor flat, which means you have 3 flights of stairs to climb. Not an issue for us at all. * Be aware that you will need to pay for your linens as an additional cost (this is pretty common in France). We simply loved our stay here, and will definitely stay here again on our next trip!! Thanks Marleen! :-)

Superbe séjour !

Très bel appartement : de par ses volumes, et de par sa décoration (pas de bibelots inutiles : que des choses de très bon goût). Uzès est une ville magnifique, et l 'appartement a un emplacement idéal.. Peut-être manquerait-il la climatisation (quelques jours à 36 -37°)...mais l'appartement est beau et propre.. Très bon contact également avec les propriétaires : toujours disponibles et aimables... Bref.."A Place to Be", que je recommande sans hésitation. Famille H.

superbes vacances !

Très bel appartement : de par ses volumes et de par sa décoration (pas de bibelots inutiles, que de belles choses). Petit coup de coeur personnel pour la cuisine et sa terrasse... Situation idéale : en plein milieu du centre historique, à une rue de la place du Duché, et deux pas de la place aux herbes. Propriétaires très agréables et dispos... Bref...A place to be !!

Excellent and beautiful appartment in Uzes

If there would have been a 6th star, we would have given it: Beautifully decorated and well maintained appartment in the heart of the city. It is really nicely decorated and furnished and the setup (3 levels) is really exciting. The appartment is fully and well equipped also with all kinds of kitchen necessities, radios/ amplifiers for ipod etc. etc. We missed nothing. It is very spacious (we were there with 3 kids and it was lovely). The balcony/ roof terasse is to the backyard, overlooking the pictouresque roofs of Uzes. We spend a lot of time just relaxing there. The view from the windows onto the street is very entertaining. It is very centrally located so it may be a bit noisy at night in the lower sleeping room. In the morning, the garbage trucks and street cleaning may wake you up - before the bell tower at 7:-) Takeover of the appartment was arranged through an agent and was smooth. Contact with the owner was at any time flawless. Watch out: The access to the appartment by car is limited, particularly on Saturday, when there is a big market in Uzes. The car should be parked in the parking garage nearby (Parking "Gard", 300m walk). We recommend to purchase a 7d ticket for the garage which was reasonably priced. For unloading/ loading, driving to the appartment should be carefully planned. We can truly recommend this appartment.
