Ideal for families and sports enthusiasts looking for a peaceful, warm and cozy nest with panoramic view on surrounding mountaintops to regroup after a day of outdoor activities. Built with carefully selected ecological materials in one of the most charming villages in France, our chalet is located on the slopes of the Alpe d'Huez ski area (winter) and on the alternative route to the 21 curves of Alpe d'Huez (summer).

Feel free to rent either our cottage in its entirety, the main lodging (LesEcrins1, object of this ad), or the additional appartment (LesEcrins2).

LesEcrins1 is located in the upper part of our chalet, and can accommodate 2 to 3 families. The 1610 square feet are spread over 2 floors, and can lodge up to 12 people (less is better ;-)).

On the lower floor you will find a L-shaped living-room with kitchen, dining and sitting corner with Stuv30-stove, two bedrooms with respectively bunkbeds in the first room, and a 2p bed (4,6ft) in the second room , a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
On the upper - mezzanine - floor are a separate bedroom with double bed (5,9ft) + a second bed (4,6ft) fixed in the roof, a bathroom with bathtub and toilet, a reading/playing corner and two so called '‘mountain corners’ with two double (5,2ft) beds.

The large balcony is fully oriented to the south, thus guaranteeing you a full day of sunshine in addition to the unique panoramic view on the Oisans valley, and the 430 sq.ft. terrasse behind the chalet is an ideal playing space for children both summer and winter. Our big wooden table adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen guarantees memorable dining moments, followed by even more memorable passionate game moments. Also noteworthy: the Bekaert bedding, the barbecue, fuss-ball, raclette- and fondue appliances, our DVD-and games collection,...

Also included in the rental is the use of our unique professional 400sq.ft. wellness area with SAUNA (6 people), HAMMAM (4p), double Italian shower and relaxation corner. In case the secondary apartment is rented, facilities are shared (alternately afternoons and evenings).

Our vast garage allows you to securely store bikes and ski material. Thanks to the shoe-warmers you'll leave the chalet to go skiing with warm and dry feet. The washing-machine and dryer will especially be appreciated by both cyclistes and parents alf small children.

Parking space for minimum 2 cars can be found in front of the garage.

As mentioned, this lodging can be combined with the (smaller) apartment LesEcrins2 (667 sq.ft). Located on the 1st floor of the chalet, The latter can accommodate 1 to 2 families, i. e. 6 to max 8 people. It's terrasse, with a private 6p HOT-TUB, is also oriented to the south, guaranteeing a maximum of sunshine. Currently under reconstruction, LesEcrins2 will only be available AS OF JANUARY 1ST 2020.

When both appartments are rented jointly, all group activities take place upstairs.

* Skiers: the access to the ski lifts linking our village to the large Alpe d'Huez ski area lays litterally on our doorstep (you just have to cross the street to get going) and the familyfriendly ski school is just around the corner, 490ft from our premisses. We have boot-dryers and ski-racks at the entrance of the chalet.

* Hikers: our village is the reference trail-station of the Oisans valley, we are located at the gates of the Ecrins National Park and our main ski-lift connects us to Alpe d'Huez, so the number of trails to discover is infinite. No need to use your car when you’re staying a tour place.

* Cyclists: we’re based on the alternative ascent of Alpe d'Huez and the Cols de la Croix de Fer, Glandon, Galibier and many other less well-known but all the more memorable climbs are just waiting for you to master them.
In the evening you can safely store your bikes in our large 320sq.ft. garage.

* And if you’re just looking for rest and well-being: the 180° panoramic view on the surrounding mountain peaks combined with your private hot-tub will do ☺.

Think about doing your shopping in the valley before driving up to the village, or have it delivered on site when you arrive. The local grocery store offers a limited range of products and is only open in season.
