Three bedroom townhome in a great location with new furnishings
Can your hotel do all this? Our home offers three bedrooms for guest privacy, a full kitchen equipped to cook a pizza or a gourmet meal, and an attached two-car garage.
Get all the comforts of home in our clean, comfortable, and family-friendly three bedroom two-story townhome. Minutes from shopping, UND and the Alerus Center, you'll be near all the main attractions in Grand Forks in the comforts of a quiet, residential neighborhood.
With three bedrooms, everyone will have their own space. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and a smaller third bedroom has a new double bed and mattress.
A full bathroom is on the second floor and a half bath is on the first floor. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, stove, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and all the essential cookware, dishes and flatware. Three TVs also means no fighting over the remote.
We also have a high-chair and portable crib available upon request for our littlest guests. A washer and dryer is available for laundry needs as well as an iron and ironing board, and the two-car garage means no scraping windshields on snowy winter mornings.
We love technology, so our home is equipped with wireless Internet access and keyless entry (we'll provide you with an entry code).
Please note, we are located in a quiet residential neighborhood and require all guests to be respectful of our neighbors. No parties, loud music, noises or a lot of extra visitors . If this does not meet your lodging needs, we're not the place for you!
We have been inspected by and are licensed by the State of North Dakota (the most recent inspection was in April 2018) and the city of Grand Forks.

About Phil McKenzie
Kristin and I are avid travelers. We've had an opportunity to see some amazing places around the world and found our best experiences to be with home rentals vs. hotels. We enjoy having the privacy of multiple bedrooms, a kitchen to cook our own meals and a space to comfortably accommodate our kids and parents. We wanted to offer the same home stay opportunity to travelers visiting our area.
Phil McKenzie purchased this Townhome in 2014
Why Phil McKenzie chose Grand Forks
We chose this property because of its centralized location and quiet neighborhood. Shopping is three minutes away; UND five minutes; the Ralph Engelstad Arena is eight minutes. You're close to everything!
What makes this Townhome unique
An attached double-car garage comes in handy during the frigid North Dakota winters. We are also the first hosts in Grand Forks, ND to offer an entire home as a short-term rental.

I loved our stay! It was such a nice place! Plenty of room and a quiet place to rest after a day of dance competitions! Thank you so much for everything!
This was a perfect place for two couples! The townhome had everything we needed for a great one-night stay. The townhome was clean with very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay as well. It was nice to have a two car garage to keep our cars in on this cold and snowy January weekend. Thanks for a great stay, Phil!!
Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful rental! Very clean! Very comfortable!
This is my first time renting a VRBO. Phil's place was amazing. He is a perfect example of what the great VRBO experience should be. I'll be back Phil!!!
Perfect accommodations for a family stay in GF.
Everything was prepped for our visit, down to stocked coffee and toiletries. Traveling with two small children is confining in a hotel, so the townhome gave space for the kids to sleep upstairs while I was able to visit family in the spacious living room on the main floor. I even left with clean clothes thanks to the washer and dryer, and you can't beat an attached garage in the winter. They've got an excellent layout. Highly recommend.
Thanks for your generous review. We're so glad the place worked out for your stay. It is nice to allow the kids some distance if part of the family stays up. Thanks for taking good care of the place. It was easy getting it ready for our next guests.
Nice little townhouse with adequate kitchen and three bedrooms with comfy beds. Easy access to all of Grand Forks and very close to main shopping area.
It was good overall
Disappointed with the lack of bathroom linens and bedding. The bed linens were a sheet or heavy comforter. Actually had to buy light weight bed linens. Also there was a camera in the garage. Were there other cameras in the townhouse? Did not make us comfortable
Thanks for the feedback. Yours is the first negative mention of the bedding by any of our guests. We will take your input into consideration. Had you contacted us during your stay as we request of all of our guests, we could have assisted with an alternative.
The prominently displayed security camera in the garage is explained in the informational ring binder we leave on the kitchen counter for our guests. We learned that guests do not always shut the garage door as requested when departing. An open garage door, even in a safe neighborhood such as ours, is not ideal so checking the garage camera after our guest’s departure has proven a necessary step.
The suggestion that there could be hidden cameras within our home because a camera is placed openly outside the home is deeply insulting to my wife and me as long-time hosts. Again, contacting your hosts to express any concerns during your stay is always recommended.
The University of North Dakota offers Division I athletics. It boasts the finest collegiate hockey arena and college hockey team in the nation. The Alerus Center hosts football games as well as local and regional conventions. The Chester Fritz Auditorium hosts concerts of all kinds from Broadway to ballet in its 2300 seat venue. The Empire Arts Center in downtown Grand Forks has 400 seats. You'll see theater, folk music, orchestras, lectures on any given night.
