Our extended family spent a fantastic week at this home! Great outdoor and indoor spaces and lots of good hangout spots—and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Owners were very responsive. We would love to return here in the future! Definitely recommend!

The home was very clean, had so many additional amenities provided and the lake and views were Amazing. Wish the weather would have cooperated more but we definitely had many, many things to entertain us all. All 12 of us Highly recommend this home, a couple are talking about bringing their children and grandchildren back.

We had a wonderful time at this house! We had 3 families with 7 kids ranging from 11 to 16 and it was perfect. The lake was great - peaceful but also fun for water sports. The house was well-appointed, spacious and very comfortable for the whole group. The views and the size of the wooded property were the perfect Up North setting. The host was very responsive and check in/check out were smooth and easy. We are already dying to come back! Highly recommend.

This was a great property for our family vacation! Our host provided excellent communication and support throughout our stay and made certain that we had everything we needed.We had plenty of space for sleeping, playing, eating and relaxing and the view was beautiful! The kitchen, the amenities, and the accommodations were very nice. The beach, dock, and water equipment were all perfect for our family. It was very easy to rent boats and jet skis throughout the week. The large deck was a great place to eat and also to relax and watch the boats and the sunset. We highly recommend this property and will definitely consider rebooking again. Thanks for helping us have a very special family vacation!

Well thought out for a group of families to all stay in one place. Lots of room to spread out, multiple places to hide from the weather, or enjoy the weather. It was ideal for our group, and I would rent here again!

Family Vacation

The property is huge. Our family of 13 especially enjoyed eating together at the enormous dining room table. The kitchen was large and well supplied with everything needed to prepare large meals. Everyone loved the large sandy beach.

We have a sibling and family vacation every year and have been trying to find “our place” in Michigan. This home had literally everything we could ever want. It was beautiful, had fishing, clean swimming water, walking, close to everything. I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay

Our stay was great. My son was getting married and the house was perfect for the families of the bride and groom. The owner was really great and very accommodating to our needs. The only negative was the lower level mustiness and carpeting. And it’s on spider lake so there are lots of spiders lol.

Family wedding in the area

Very stunning home located in a peaceful setting close to all things Traverse City. Home was clean and well stocked. Owners were kind Abe attentive to all our needs. Highly recommended by all members of our family.

Spider Lake VRBO

The property was well located on the lake. Very roomy for 12 adults with all the amenities you would need for your stay. We enjoyed the stay and would recommend for large groups. View is beautiful and the property is wonderful. Owners were helpful resolving any issues we experienced.

Amazing home on a great property! Highly recommended!

Nice, large home that sleeps a ton of people with lots of room to spread out. We rented a boat and it literally took 2 minutes to get to the house from the boat launch. 20 minutes from downtown traverse city. Very private and well kept.

Beautiful and unique home

As soon as we walked in the front door, we fell in love with the house. Beautiful views are everywhere from within. House is well stocked in the kitchen, with games, books, kayaks and a paddle boat. Great memories were made!

Love this lake house

This is our second time staying here and we love everything about it. The view is spectacular and it’s very roomy for our entire family of 12. We found the house extremely clean and organized with everything we need. Quiet hours make it very relaxing in the morning and evening. Also love taking out boat to the sand bar! Great fun!!!

Truly could not have asked for a better place!

Our stay was INCREDIBLE!!! Plenty of room for 11 guests. Truly I don’t think the pictures do this place justice. The house is absolutely gorgeous - perfect if you’re looking for an upscale log cabin vibe. The lake is so picturesque, and the drive into Traverse City was so easy. The kitchen was great for cooking several meals during our stay. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. I would stay here again in a HEARTBEAT!!! Thank you for providing the perfect location for an unforgettable weekend!

Memorial Day weekend up north!

the house was perfect for our trip up north. The hosts were attentive and accommodating. The house was a treasure-- lots of deck space, water views and plenty of space to get lost from each other. The kitchen --was perfect-- lots of dishes, cooking and serving pieces...the double fridge was a huge plus for all our beverages!

Anniversary trip

Our family of 10 ages 24-82 thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Spider Lake while celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary. This is an older home with some recent updates that easily accommodated our family. It has a wonderful modern kitchen/dining/living area that overlooks the beautiful Spider Lake. Paddle boat, kayaks and fishing pier were a welcome addition for the younger ones. The fire pit was also enjoyed in the evenings! Beautiful area and great property for large groups.

Perfect Extended Family Resort

Great family place. Lots to do. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks, the paddle boat, the blue water mat, ping pong and foos ball. The adults loved the deck and were able to watch kids in water from there. Nice grill is a major plus for us. Couldn’t figure out lights on the driveway and a bit of a musty smell on lower level bedroom . Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We came N instead of S for our annual vacation this year. What a treat! Enough room for 11 adults and 2 teens and a baby. Easy access to boat dock and boat rental with tube. So roomy and great decks. Stocked well. Beautiful surroundings. I suggest a handicapped potty!!

The house was great, ideal location. Great views. Plenty of space for our group. Owner and after checkout made the experience miserable. If you don’t read “their book” they will money grab. We spent plenty time cleaning before our group left, we cleaned with two wash clothes which they ended up charging us for at the end saying “we ruined them” after all the cleaning we did they still charged us an extra 50 for cleaning. Crazy to think the fees attached aren’t enough for cleaning?!? Charged us 150 because we didn’t take trash to the road. This wasn’t communicated through text beforehand. Just a ridiculous money grab from the owner. Owners are old and use it as an excuse. 1 person out of our 13 person group saw “their book.” Goes to show they don’t communicate the important things that they will charge you in the end. Highly recommend not booking to not deal with owners of the property. We as a group have booked many places before and have never had an issue. Owner needs to be a better communicator before guests check in and what they want from their guest, instead of saying “read book.” They truly need to give the property to someone who can communicate because it is a beautiful spot.

Yes I am old, 78, but I have advanced degrees from Boston University and MSU and am not a feeble minded septuagenarian. The guests were reminded DURING THEIR STAY VIA TEXT to take the totes to the street before leaving. They are heavy and easy to wheel to the streets for 30 somethings but difficult at my age. The $50 per tote charge for failing to take them to the street is noted in my detailed handbook and merely a passthrough from our cleaning crew - not a "money grab". Two wash cloths were ruined from what I do not know but I put on gloves to dispose of them for fear of contracting something. One of the guests was so inebriated that he fell out of the top bunk, into the wall and broke through the drywall which had to be repaired. But the coup de grace was an 8 FOOT PHALLIC SYMBOL DRAWN IN CHALK ON MY GARAGE FLOOR, which I charged $50 to clean up myself because I didn't want my cleaning crew to see it. That is disrespecting my property which is unacceptable. They will definitely not be invited back!!!!
