About Nathan Jespersen

My wife Sara and I have been married for over 12 years, have 2 kids, Tori and Ellie. We live in Stillwater and also have our office space downtown. We both work in the fitness and health industry.

Nathan Jespersen purchased this house in 2012

Why Nathan Jespersen chose Metro

We stumbled on this property in the summer of 2012. The home was in rough shape, but the property and the location was paradise. We renovated the home to our liking. The home is also rich in Stillwater history. The trail behind the house used to be the old trolley track that commuted loggers throughout Stillwater back in the 1800's. The trolley house is converted into a home now and is our closest neighbor. We've thoroughly enjoyed this property for the 3 short years we've been here. We felt that it would be fun to share this little treasure with others.

What makes this house unique

By far, the most fascinating aspects of this home is the view of the lake and wildlife. You can see the sunset over the lake from every room in the home. What also makes this property unique is it's country secluded feel, while still amidst the populated downtown Stillwater area. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we have.

Beautiful Home + Perfect Location = Amazing Stay

  • 5 of 5

If I could give this property extra stars I would! We used this home as a family headquarters for my daughter's wedding in Stillwater. The location was just minutes from downtown or to go up to the mall area & private enough to allow downtime from all the wedding festivities.

The home was immaculate, with more than enough room for our three families to feel comfortable. The gathering spaces hosted comfortable furniture and large TVs for relaxing. Everything was beautifully decorated and sported modern appliances and nice appointments. The two bathrooms were spacious and had great water pressure. The kitchen was nicely stocked and had a large bar area helpful for cooking and fun for everyone to gather around. The open feel of the home made for a very enjoyable stay.

Nate was super helpful and responsive, with positive communication throughout the whole process! We appreciated his attention to every detail to make our stay the best it could be.

The outdoor space was beautiful, with amazing views of the lake visible from most rooms. Our little grandkids also enjoyed the tire swing, playing ball, and the wonderfully large yard.

I would not hesitate to book this wonderful location again and would highly recommend this to anyone who was looking for a great space to spend some time in Stillwater!

Awesome Labor Day Get Away

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. My family/friends rented this house for a nice long relaxing labor day weekend. It hadeverything we were looking for. Great location, just a mile from downtown, the layout was just perfect, very comfortable, and the hot tube was icing on the cake! The kitchen, living room and game room downstairs gave everybody plenty of room to to have a good time without being in each others space. We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

Sunsets ever more amazing than the brochures!

  • 4 of 5

The views and setting are beautiful and serene. The host responds quickly to all your inquiries. The basement lounge and the "at the ready" hot tub were a big hit with the grandkids. We loved the windows in every room and the open concept kitchen/ living room. The only issues (we knew about them before we went) were the algae on the lake discouraged boating and we missed a master bathroom. The neighborhood has a wonderful walking trail around the lake and an eclectic all purpose grocery store. We defiantly recommend a stay in Meadowlark cottage.

Perfect Spot

  • 5 of 5

The Meadowlark cottage was so comfortable and so beautifully furnished, it was perfect for our family. The sunset over the lake was really gorgeous and we enjoyed the walking path around the lake and all of the wildlife. The home is very private but close to everything. We had friends over and grilled out one night - plenty of space and all the necessary grilling implements. The owners have thought of everything! We would definitely recommend this wonderful home to anyone lucky enough to visit beautiful Stillwater!

Very nice home on a nice little lake

  • 5 of 5

We loved the walking trial around the lake. The hot tube was fun, but the weather was a little warm. Made s'mores on the fire. The home is set up to give everyone a lot of space. We did a lot of day trips into Minneapolis and this location was perfect for that. Downtown Stillwater is like stepping back into small town USA from 100 years ago, but you also get all the convenience of modern day stores in the newer part of the city. The listing of the property was very accurate. The property was well maintained and when we needed something customer service was excellent. LoLo's restaurant was a favorite of the more adventurous palates in the group. Overall we had a great time and will definitely look at this property for a future vacation.
