About Nathan Jespersen
My wife Sara and I have been married for over 12 years, have 2 kids, Tori and Ellie. We live in Stillwater and also have our office space downtown. We both work in the fitness and health industry.
Nathan Jespersen purchased this House in 2012
Why Nathan Jespersen chose Stillwater
We stumbled on this property in the summer of 2012. The home was in rough shape, but the property and the location was paradise. We renovated the home to our liking. The home is also rich in Stillwater history. The trail behind the house used to be the old trolley track that commuted loggers throughout Stillwater back in the 1800's. The trolley house is converted into a home now and is our closest neighbor. We've thoroughly enjoyed this property for the 3 short years we've been here. We felt that it would be fun to share this little treasure with others.
What makes this House unique
By far, the most fascinating aspects of this home is the view of the lake and wildlife. You can see the sunset over the lake from every room in the home. What also makes this property unique is it's country secluded feel, while still amidst the populated downtown Stillwater area. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we have.

Beautiful Property with amazing owners
I cannot say enough nice things about the owners. They were so accommodating and willing to answer or help in any way that they could. The house was very clean and the property was beautiful. We will be staying again on our next trip!
Comfortable with a great lake view!
Myself, 5 sisters and 1 sister-in-law enjoyed a long weekend at Nathan's home and found it to be very comfortable with all of the amenities of home. The kitchen was fully stocked, towels and most importantly enough toilet paper for 7 women for 4 days and 3 nights! :)
We especially enjoyed the great view of the sunset every night both from the living area and the campfire that we created using the firewood that Nathan provided. Nathan was very responsive the few times that I had to reach out to him and was even willing to come and jump start our car when we realized after 4 days of sitting that the battery had died. A friendly neighbor beat him too it though. The home is situated in a very private setting but yet you are close to downtown and the bike/walking path. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!
Wonderful house for our large family
This house was a blessing for our big family. The house was great with 3 living room areas and plenty of seating for meal times. The outside of the house had a tire swing, zip line, fire place and canoes. We really didn't have to leave the house! Location was great and Nelson's ice cream near by was the best ice cream we'd had in a long time.
Nathan was quick to respond when I had questions and even found us a pack n play so we didn't have to travel with one.
Great experience and great house. Would highly recommend.
Clean and spacious
We enjoyed our stay in Stillwater. The home was clean, spacious, and private with nice amenities.
We used the property for our team, and it was a perfect getaway spot!
We loved it!
Cute cottage for a getaway
We stayed here with two other couples and enjoyed the location and property. There was plenty of room for the six of us. We made most meals at home and found the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed. We also enjoyed walking around the lake and sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. The app for unlocking and locking the door was very convenient. Downtown Stillwater is within walking distance which made the location even more enjoyable.
The Meadowlark Cottage is a little piece of paradise; rich in Stillwater history and close to downtown Stillwater and the St. Croix River. The trail behind the home used to be the old Trolley track that commuted loggers throughout Stillwater back in the 1800's. The trolley house is converted into a home now and is our closest neighbor. You can follow this trail down all the way around Lake McKusick or take it down the creek to downtown Stillwater. Downtown Stillwater has much to offer; wonderful restaurants, shopping and antique stores. And, for recreation, boating up and down the river gives the most scenic representation of the Valley.
