About Nathan Jespersen
My wife Sara and I have been married for over 12 years, have 2 kids, Tori and Ellie. We live in Stillwater and also have our office space downtown. We both work in the fitness and health industry.
Nathan Jespersen purchased this House in 2012
Why Nathan Jespersen chose Stillwater
We stumbled on this property in the summer of 2012. The home was in rough shape, but the property and the location was paradise. We renovated the home to our liking. The home is also rich in Stillwater history. The trail behind the house used to be the old trolley track that commuted loggers throughout Stillwater back in the 1800's. The trolley house is converted into a home now and is our closest neighbor. We've thoroughly enjoyed this property for the 3 short years we've been here. We felt that it would be fun to share this little treasure with others.
What makes this House unique
By far, the most fascinating aspects of this home is the view of the lake and wildlife. You can see the sunset over the lake from every room in the home. What also makes this property unique is it's country secluded feel, while still amidst the populated downtown Stillwater area. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we have.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views!
Our group of high school classmate had a wonderful time at Meadowlark. The home is beautiful and the beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook our meals.
There were seven of us cousins coming in at various times from three states and Nathan was there to help the first ones to get into the house. And what a beautiful home! We have rented from VRBO before but your home was awesome! Your location was perfect for walking to the sites, kayaking on the lake and watching the sunset from the firepit. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was furnished with everything we could ask for. We all agreed that we would DEFINITELY come back! And Nathan, thank you also for your quick responses whenever I had questions.
This home is awesome, even with the large windows and great view it was so very private.
It was easy to get to downtown, right on a bike path, great kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds, great outside fire pit and dock. I feel so lucky to have found it.
We had our annual family vacation with 8 people. The house was well stocked, clean, and had plenty of room for all. The weather was beautiful so we got to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and walking trails
80th Birthday celebration
The house was perfect for our family gathering from Wisconsin, plus east and west coast. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, so we did more then planned, because doing so gave us more time together and it turned out to be fun. Surprised at the closeness to town and yet private. Kayaks and canoe were nice touch, pond water was algae covered. Great sunsets and fire pit. Nathan was very helpful and responded timely to questions we had prior to our arrival. Would rent again.
Our stay was exactly what we hoped it would be-5 nights in a great home and time to spend with my 2 brothers and sister and our children who live in the area. The four bedrooms and the room to spread out were just what we wanted. It is a very attractive home.
The lake is an attractive setting but for water activities you would need to go to the St. Croix river. Stillwater is a great place to visit and while we live here the other members enjoyed the Trolley Tour, Antique stores, the river and great places to eat.
We highly recommend the home and the area.

The Meadowlark Cottage is a little piece of paradise; rich in Stillwater history and close to downtown Stillwater and the St. Croix River. The trail behind the home used to be the old Trolley track that commuted loggers throughout Stillwater back in the 1800's. The trolley house is converted into a home now and is our closest neighbor. You can follow this trail down all the way around Lake McKusick or take it down the creek to downtown Stillwater. Downtown Stillwater has much to offer; wonderful restaurants, shopping and antique stores. And, for recreation, boating up and down the river gives the most scenic representation of the Valley.
