About Connie Kauffman

I grew up in Strasburg and lived there until I married. My family still lives there and even when I moved away, Strasburg was always 'going home' for me. In 2014 my husband and I were able to purchase a Strasburg property and are enjoying the vacation rental business since our 3 children are now grown.

Connie Kauffman purchased this apartment in 2014

Why Connie Kauffman chose Pennsylvania

When I moved to Strasburg in my early teens, I began to love its charm. It is surrounded by farms, rolling hills, and the beauty of nature. As I grew older and moved away I began to appreciate this little town more than ever and it was my dream and desire to move back. In 2014, that dream became a reality that I would like to share.

What makes this apartment unique

This property is bordered by a horse pasture, an Amish house and farm, meadow, Little Beaver Creek, and woods. The rural surroundings include farm animals (chickens, cows, mules, and horses) and farmland. There are a variety of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, tourist attractions, scooter rentals, outlets for shopping, and tennis and basketball courts. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Strasburg has a rich history and more 18th century homes than Colonial Williamsburg.

Just like being home

  • 5 of 5

Quiet location. Roomy, VERY Clean, Owners very nice. Felt like home instead of a gross hotel where the floors and bed feel gross. Private entrance. Loved it. Thank you Owners.

My wife and I stayed here for our 5 year anniversary, and we loved it. Cozy, private, and just the right size! It was clean and we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Quiet, peaceful setting

  • 4 of 5

Creekside Manor is in the middle of beautiful, quiet farmland and was a truly peaceful retreat. The owners are lovely, friendly people. It is less than 10 minutes south (the no-traffic side) of Sight and Sound Theater, making for a speedy arrival and departure.

The unit is quite large and spotlessly clean. The bedding was lovely and the bedroom and living room get lots of natural light. The coffee area, however, was so dim that I couldn't see how much water was in the pot, and the refrigerator was very tiny.

Thanks for your hospitality! I will likely return.

Very pleasant

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I enjoyed staying here. Definitely beat staying in a hotel. It was very clean and quiet and relaxing. Only minor things like there is only one mirror in the unit and you do not have control of a/c. That being said we were comfortable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your suggestion and we now have another mirror. I am glad you were comfortable since this was one of the hottest summers on record. We have ceiling fans in each room.

Quiet stay in a beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in this quaint one-bedroom rental located in beautiful Lancaster county. The space was well-maintained, immaculately clean and very welcoming. Further, it was within 10-20 minutes of anything we wanted to see and visit. Would highly recommend it and we look forward to visiting again!

A clean, well kept apartment

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled all over the US and this is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. It was all it said it would be, and more. My husband and I traveled with my sister and her husband, we had ample room for the four of us. The sofa bed was most comfortable as well as the queen size bed. And it was close to the Sight and Sound Theatre that we visited while there. We found a little deli by the name of Isaac's that served delicious soup and sandwiches. The owners were very gracious and offered to help in any way they could. Thank you Connie and Kevin for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. I would recommend this rental to all my friends and relatives.
