About Connie Kauffman

I grew up in Strasburg and lived there until I married. My family still lives there and even when I moved away, Strasburg was always 'going home' for me. In 2014 my husband and I were able to purchase a Strasburg property and are enjoying the vacation rental business since our 3 children are now grown.

Connie Kauffman purchased this apartment in 2014

Why Connie Kauffman chose Strasburg Township

When I moved to Strasburg in my early teens, I began to love its charm. It is surrounded by farms, rolling hills, and the beauty of nature. As I grew older and moved away I began to appreciate this little town more than ever and it was my dream and desire to move back. In 2014, that dream became a reality that I would like to share.

What makes this apartment unique

This property is bordered by a horse pasture, an Amish house and farm, meadow, Little Beaver Creek, and woods. The rural surroundings include farm animals (chickens, cows, mules, and horses) and farmland. There are a variety of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, tourist attractions, scooter rentals, outlets for shopping, and tennis and basketball courts. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Strasburg has a rich history and more 18th century homes than Colonial Williamsburg.

Wonderful Gem Nestled In The Countryside

  • 5 of 5

My family and I love our trips to Lancaster and this time we really wanted to try something different than our ordinary hotel resort stay. As my 80 year old stepfather grew up here as a child, I really wanted to surprise him by staying at a quiet, serene, beautiful countryside guest house that would have reminded him of his childhood. Well the surprise worked!! We all loved the clean and warm welcoming layout and decor of our accommodations. The view out our windows affirmed our decision to stay here at Connie's humble abode, which was of gorgeous greenery and not a bustling highway! As for my folks, my stepdad wanted nothing more than to get outside and walk the grounds and visit that horse across the street. However with pouring rain the day of our stay, we will have to wait til our next visit to book here again and make good on that activity.

Owner's Response: Thank you for letting me know. I changed the listing to say, "Living Area" instead of bedroom. I hope that makes it more clear that there is one bedroom and one living room with a sofa bed.
