Incredible gite!

I will stay in a number of times in the villages around Fountainbleau coming to enjoy the Climbing. This is one of the best places I’ve ever been to! It’s not very far from the best bouldering areas, and it has a wonderful feel. If you have a group, this was a perfect place to stay. Highly recommended

10 days in France

The purpose of our visit was to attend the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival at Fontainebleau. Fontainebleau is an easy run from Poligny and definitely a place worth exploring. Beautiful countryside and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Gite was comfortable and we enjoyed meals outside in the courtyard under the beautiful ash tree. Being a converted stone farm building the ground floor lacked natural daylight but the outside space more than compensated. Jacques,s English was quite good which was just as well as our French is very poor. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Schön wars!

Waren für eine Woche zum Bouldern in Bleau und haben in Poligny ein tolles Apartment bewohnt. Zu beanstanden gibt es nichts, alles super! Wichtig: Die Vermieter sprechen kein Englisch. Kommen gerne wieder! :)

Home away from home

We, two Dutch families, 13 to 64 years of age, stayed a happy week at the gite on the farm of Jacques and Monique. We played soccer on the lawn, barbecued and played badminton in the enclosed courtyard. We catched some fish in the river Loing and bicycled in the neighbourhood. We visited the city of Fontainebleau and the beautiful modernist prehistoric museum in Nemour. The gite had a nicely informal atmosphere and a fully equipped kitchen. Jacques and Monique are helpfully, friendly and welcoming. To us it was a perfect home away from home.

Lovely place to stay

As the other reviewers have said, it's tardis-like and has everything you need. We stayed with our 5 children - aged 8-14 and it felt very spacious. There's a local supermarche only 4 miles away and there's a restaurant in the village which we didn't have time to sample - but heard good reviews. The outside eating area was lovely, large and shaded - a real plus in the heat. We used the house as a base to see local towns and area and we spent a day at Disneyland Paris (just over an hour away by car) and also discovered a brilliant activities centre near Buthiers ( approx. 25 minutes away by car - with large outdoor pool and water slides in a woodland setting with climbing and zip wires and many, many other activities we didn't have time for (an absolute favourite with children). Overall a fantastic stay and great value for money.

Nice Gites

We had a wonderful week in the surrounding of Fontainebleau. Nice gites, big enough to live in with 7 people. Very nice en friendly owners. A lot of space en nice quiet place.

Ein tolles Häuschen, mit gemütlichem Kamin.

Ein einfach eingerichtetes Haus (innerhalb eines gr. Hofes) mit allen notwendigen Dingen. Wir haben besonders die Kaminabende und das bequeme Bett genossen, tagsüber waren wir immer unterwegs. Für Hunde auch optimal, da man endlos Gassi gehen kann. Wenn es warm ist, kann man gemütlich draußen sitzen, Griller wurde auch getestet. Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Nous avons passé deux semaines mervellieuses dans le Gîte Rural de la Fontaine Gargot. La maison est très jolie et accueillante avec ses jardins, très bien equipée, spacieux et très bien située (près de Nemours et Fontainbleau). La ville (Poligny) est très calme et pittoresque avec ses chemins, ses paysages et sa nature incroyable. Les propriétaires sont toujours disponibles, très gentils et sympathiques. Je retournerai avec un infinit plaisir !
