About Theresa King
I'm a polo player, fox hunter and former DC investment banker. I live on a private horse farm I created myself from a raw cornfield. I'm a huge animal lover. The farm is home to my pot bellied pig named Flower, 4 dogs, various barn cats and usually anywhere from 6-25 horses, and numerous chickens. I run a little cottage business called (website hidden) and I create various products from recycled plastic feed bags. Come enjoy my private setting and bring a horse or two if need be. Just ask about stabling!

Perfect equestrian girls getaway!!
We had a great time in Theresa's perfect getaway cottage on her absolutely gorgeous property! Everything is lovely down to the last detail! Idyllic poolside outdoor living room, beautiful view, thoughtful touches throughout and even fresh eggs straight from the coop!
Can't say enough good things about our experience!
If I runaway from home, this is where I'm heading!
Lovely Farm Retreat
WOW! Therese has an incredible experience in store for you at this guest house. Meticulously clean and bright, it feels less like a VRBO and more like we were living on a working horse farm (which it happens to be!). Ideally suited for those who wish to be out of town (yet 15 min close to downtown Aiken). Too cold when we visited to use the pool but my 7 y.o. daughter will forever remember waking up to see it "right there, just outside!" Be prepared for visits by friendly dogs, curious horses, and Flower- a gentle pot-bellied pig. You won't be disappointed!
Comfortably Compact Accommodation with Luxury Swimming Pool in Equestrian Setting
We truly enjoyed our 6 night stay on this beautiful horse farm 15 minutes from the heart of Aiken. The residence is bright and inspiring with loads of natural light. Although proximity is close to the owner's primary residence, we had plenty of privacy. The salt water pool was refreshing and sparkling clean. We enjoyed being able to go for a quiet walk without leaving the property. As a horsewoman currently sans equine, it was very moving waking up and seeing the "girls" out in the pasture every morning. We miss Thelma! Animal lovers' paradise! Would definitely stay here again. Very unique property.
Awesome and Relaxing
Woke up early each morning and took a walk around the farm. Followed by breakfast on the porch and day in the pool. All with the company of of Theresa's six horses and Thelma. What could be more relaxing. Plenty to do around town and great restaurants for lunch/dinner. The house was very clean and the grounds immaculate. We definitely recommend a stay here.
Gem of a Property
We stayed here for 3 nights and this really is a gem of a property. The owner, Theresa, has thought of everything in terms of details - there is storage, quality furniture and kitchen items, and even fresh eggs from her hens. The place feels bigger than it is because of the outdoor space around it - an outdoor dining room and living room, the pool, and beautiful surroundings. There are windows everywhere in this house, with tons of light and views. There are several animals on this farm, each with their own unique personality. We loved all the dogs, especially Thelma, Poncho and Jake. Flower the pig was exciting for my kids, and watching the horses was a daily treat. A huge positive was the first day when Theresa took my kids to help feed the animals and search for eggs. They loved the freedom to roam the farm and explore. Theresa was very responsive to anything we needed during our stay (the batteries died on the controller for the pool light and she quickly replaced them). We originally came to watch the eclipse thinking this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. The eclipse was great, but even more we found a place we'd love to return to again. This is a really unique experience in a beautiful and peaceful setting.
The farm was simply beautiful. The house was so cute and perfect in size. My husband and I enjoyed the privacy of our own "tiny house", pool, and fire place. The weather couldn't of been more perfect for our weekend get away. The horses on the farm were great to watch and even allowed me to pet them a few times. I also fell in love with Oscar and Thelma(hopefully I got the dogs names correct). If you ever want to get rid of them, call me. :) Thanks for sharing your farm and we will be back!!!
