We've stayed at this cabin 3 times and we love it. Perfect for our family vacation!
We first stayed at this cabin when visiting relatives. It was our first time in this area and we needed a place that our 4 boys would enjoy. Hotels are definitely out of the question with 4 active boys! At this cabin they can swim, fish, take out the row boat, and just enjoy the peaceful setting. The lake is beautiful and quiet. The cabin is not fancy but very clean and everything is maintained very well! We enjoy the whole cabin experience: cooking on the grill or just in the kitchen, sitting on the dock or (beautiful) huge porch, using the wood stove when it's cool, etc. Aiken is about a half hour drive so that's not too far to go for supplies or dinner out if that is what you enjoy. We can't wait until our cabin vacation next year!
Beautiful home and setting.
Quiet, remote, yet within reasonable distance to all necessary services.
Perfectly named. Will be back.
Perfectly named. We rented cabin for our sons wedding. We had the brides family over for dinner. We had three close friends staying with us and twice during our stay we had other family members over. The house was very nice and accommodating. Our son and his groomsmen came over and went fishing on the lake. We will definitely stay here again. My wife loved the grill. Only drawback is the small kitchen it works if you only have one cook in the family. Loved the cabin will be back.
Great choice for lake enthusiasts
I rarely post comments on places at which I have stayed, but your property deserves a shoutout.
As a lifelong lover of lakes, waterfront cottages and inns are my getaway destination of choice. To me, there is nothing better than to be in or on the water, and, across the years, I have stayed at a number of places that enable me to do just that.
While I enjoyed “roughing it” in my teens and 20s, I have come to appreciate a real bed and certain other amenities of home when in the out-of-doors. That has led to stays at some nice places on the water. Yours is among those places that are rich in creature comforts as well as natural beauty. I was particularly impressed by the extent to which you anticipate guest needs and the thoughtfulness in the many small touches that add to enjoyment of your property.
I would have been content to spend my entire time at the lake but am glad we visited nearby Aiken. I love the historic and equestrian influences and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the downtown area. Thanks for recommending Aiken Brewing Company for lunch. It was a hit with our group.
Having heard the stories and seen the photos of our guys’ outing, my sisters are determined to make your property the site of a long-overdue sibling reunion. Finding a week that works for three busy households is a challenge, but I remain hopeful. I would like very much to visit again.
Private, Peaceful Location
Our family spent 5 wonderful days at the Lake Trenton cabin. It had everything we needed. The house and grounds were immaculate. The best part was the beautiful spot on the lake. The great covered back porch had plenty of seating for daydreaming and eating. Plus the view was picture perfect. We didn't mind the short drive to the grocery in Edgefield but then we love the countryside and exploring. Our GPS took us right to the shopping in both Aiken and Edgefield. We even ventured over to the Big Mo Drive In with our grand kids. They had never been to a drive in nor had their parents. A down home American treat with a 4th of July parade for the kids to boot. The weather was very hot but not an issue as we spent so much time jumping off the dock swimming. The small boat provided hours of fishing. My 8 year old grandson learned to row a boat. Two deer visited us early each morning in the beautiful back yard which slopes down to the lake and dock area.
I made this reservation at the last minute and Debbie who manages the property was so nice, helpful and efficient with all the details. We enjoyed the place and needed the peacefulness and solitude the cabin provided. Thanks!
Great three days....
Just returned from our visit to your lovely cabin on Lake Trenton. We were traveling with friends to attend the Masters Tournament. The home was well equipped and comfortable for two or three couples. The view of the lake from the back porch was gorgeous! Wish it had been a bit warmer so that we could have enjoyed the many ammenities that were available. My only negative comment is that it is a bit remote. Traveling to a grocery or nearby town presented some challenges.
As always we'd like to thank the renters for choosing our property, taking care of it and leaving it in the same condition they found it. We also hope they enjoyed their experience at the Masters as well.
They are correct in the fact that the closest grocery store is not around the corner. Grocery options are Bi-Lo in Edgefield (20 minutes), Food Lion in N. Augusta (25 minutes), or Aiken (25 minutes) which has everything. These are all easy drives on country roads. I'm not sure if this qualifies our home as remote or not, but we feel it is a small inconvenience in exchange for the peace, quite and tranquility of Lake Trenton. I sincerely hope this did not have too much of an impact on their over all experience in the Lake Trenton/ Aiken/Augusta area.
