Le Whitehouse Cottage

Le Whitehouse Cottage se trouve dans le village de Great Paxton, à une courte distance de la ville de marché historique de St Neots. Il offre une occasion unique de profiter d'une pause de campagne de luxe dans la campagne Cambridgeshire glorieuse. Le Whitehouse Cottage est le refuge idéal, offrant aux clients la possibilité de se détendre dans ce cadre magnifique tout en bénéficiant d'un excellent emplacement central à St Neots, Huntingdon, Cambridge et Londres.

Le Whitehouse Cottage a été modernisé et comprend cinq chambres avec trois salles de bains et une salle de bains familiale. La propriété a été rénovée à un niveau élevé avec tout le confort de votre maison. Il y a deux salles de réception une avec des portes-fenêtres ouvrant sur le jardin avec table et chaises et barbecue et chaises longues. Il y a 5 chambres au Whitehouse Cottage. La chambre 1 est une chambre simple avec salle de bains en bas. Chambre 2 est une chambre double en-suite avec salle de bains attenante. La chambre 3 est une chambre à l'étage king avec salle de bains. Chambre 4 est une chambre twin / super king et la chambre 5 est une chambre double. Les chambres 4 et 5 se partagent la salle de bain principale. Il y a deux salons dont un avec table et chaises pour huit personnes, mais la table peut être étendue à 10 personnes. En outre, il y a une grande cour pour garer jusqu'à quatre voitures. Nous avons un beau jardin avec beaucoup de places assises, et il y a un barbecue à gaz (nous demandons qu'il soit bien nettoyé) pour les clients à utiliser. Whitehouse Cottage est sur la gauche dans la photo et est l'une des 3 propriétés autour de la grande cour. Nous exploitons également des chambres d'hôtes de nos cottages. Le cottage Courtyard peut également être réservé en gîte sur la Whitehouse guesthouse (au centre de la photo). Nous demandons que le chalet soit laissé propre et rangé à la fin de votre séjour. Parking pour un maximum de 4 voitures. Un nettoyage supplémentaire peut être organisé pendant votre séjour.

Whitehouse Cottage est également équipé de BT WIFI GRATUIT

Pour quelque chose de différent, nous avons fait équipe avec un chef privé. Tony est un chef de Maître candidat précédent qui peut cuisiner pour vous et vos amis. Il peut organiser un menu selon vos goûts et votre budget. Cela peut être organisé directement avec Tony; veuillez contacter après avoir réservé pour plus d'informations.

It met our needs and is well appointed but needs to be refreshed in parts.We were glad to find a suitable property at short notice when a Vrbo property we had booked in January was cancelled five months later on the day we were about to stay. The Book with Confidence turned out to be useless for us so we had to pay much more than we had intended.

Comfortable accommodation for a large family

We used this as a base for a visit to Duxford. It easily accommodated two families of four plus a grandparent. Fleur was very kind and helpful, which was appreciated by our tired group when we arrived. The village pub too was perfect for us - a kind landlady and good food.

Perfect Property for friends to get away and spend time together!!

The White Cottage was perfect for 8 special friends to get together and spend time together !! The property is cozy but also spacious we all had very comfortable double beds and our own en suite or shower room The property was furnished to a high spec clean and lovely soft furnishings The large open plan family room/ kitchen and diner was ideal for us all to Sit and chat drink and eat all together !! Fleur the owner went above and beyond to make us welcome .... she was very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area and attractions/facilities Would highly recommend and will return one day soon Jane and friends

Lovely place that suited our group wonderful with huge bedrooms and many bathrooms.

We stayed for 3 nights and were welcomed with a tour around the property by the very lovely bubbly owner. Very adequate for a larger group with large bedrooms and many bathrooms and good parking. Particularly liked the 'welcome pack' (milk, tea, coffee etc) to enable you to have a cuppa to regroup after journeys and plan the stay. The kitchen was a little small, but manageable but would not recommend a three course meal being cooked, but there is the offer of a chef. We went for walks and had meals out and just had a lovely time connecting with friends from around the country.Yes I would recommend this property. It was cosy, warm and comfortable. We never received the address through the Home Away site needing to download their app and register, which we were not prepared to do for a postcode. However contact with the owner was very quick and easy and no problem at all. Thanks again to the owner for letting us stay.

The cottage is a great place for people to re group and lots of our guests have mentioned this before. Being so close to major infrastructure of the A1, A14, M11 and the main line into London helps. Having Cambridge just 20 mins away makes for a great day and evening out. The kitchen has everything you may need with a standard over and hob and the chef we recommend has has produced wonderful results in the kitchen. At all stages of bookings, leading up to your stay and whilst you are here we are always wiling to help and advise. We had a lovely stay in Whitehouse Cottage, it's a well-appointed cottage in a good location for a visit to both Cambridge and Bletchley Park. Excellent communication from host Fleur.

Brilliant accommodation

From the word go Fleur and Paul have been the perfect hosts When we arrived Fleur met some of us showed us around this lovely cosy cottage They had left food in the fridge there was breakfast food in the cupboard The kitchen was well equipped - the bedrooms were lovely and spacious and ensuites the were equipped with toiletries. The dining and sitting area was more than adequate for the right of us They were very informative of the area and facilities around - so helpful even told us if any problems - don't hesitate just contact them Would definitely recommend and do a return visit

Lovely weekend in friendly cottage

Perfect property for eight ladies and a baby, lots of communal space and nice garden area. Very accomodating, informative hosts who could not do enough for us - took them up on some of their reccomendations and also had treatments at the adjoining beauty salon - massage was particularly good. Convenient to Cambridge, around 20 minutes and £20-30 in a cab.

Great Accommodation

My family and I planned a multi-generational party at this property for my mother’s 90th birthday. Some of the family is UK based, but many of us were coming from the States. Fleur and Paul massively went the extra mile to be sure that every detail was perfect. The whole gathering was a great success, and we were so pleased to have chosen this venue. The house itself is very comfortable and all of us found that it had absolutely everything we needed. I would especially point out that the multiple en-suite rooms make for a great family gathering, hanging out together but without “too much” togetherness! It is truly a splendid property, and very conveniently located for many activities in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. Finally, I would really give absolutely top marks to the Batemans. They are incredibly welcoming hosts who seem genuinely committed to doing everything possible to assure a wonderful stay at Whitehouse Cottage. I can’t speak highly enough of their hospitality. Incredible hosts. Overall, if you need an accommodation that will suit a good-sized group, you won’t find anything better in this corner of England. I travel in the UK frequently, and have rented many holiday homes. I’ve never had as nice a welcome or a nicer home-from-home. I recommend this property enthusiastically and without hesitation. We had a marvelous visit (thanks to our wonderful hosts), and I’m sure any visitor to Whitehouse Cottage will feel very comfortable indeed. Rated 5-stars, A++.

Ideal for a family break

There are a good number of bedrooms, nearly all en suite, which is why we chose this property. Bedrooms were a good size and the layout of the bedrooms really suited our party of 6 adults, 3 children and a baby! The kitchen is very small and we were falling over each other a little bit. However we didn’t cook very much when we were there! Fleur left cereal, bread, butter and other necessities, including a bottle of wine, which was lovely and so helpful to get us settled.

The cottage lends itself well to sleeping up to nine in five bedrooms so is ideal for larger families or friends getting together. We are sorry you felt that the kitchen was very small. We cannot do much about this without moving it to a different part of the layout of the house. The kitchen is part of the kitchen/lounge area and will feel small if a lot of you are in the kitchen at the same time. The layout and size of the kitchen are documented in the pictures on Homeaway. Beautiful area. Lovely bedrooms.

The owners were very friendly and we had a fantastic time. A group of us have been going away for a long weekend for over 30 years. This property was not as good as many we have stayed in. The bedrooms were comfortable and well kitted out. The lounge was fine but was a bit of a squash to seat 8 of us. The biggest drawback was that the kitchen was far too small. We were tripping over each other and we did not have enough room to store our food. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was that there were weeds around the outside area and we were looking at a factory. We would not wish to return here.

Hi Claire, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your stay with us at Whitehouse Cottage. We are glad you had a fantastic time with us. The house is set up with two lounge areas. One in the kitchen where there are a table and chairs for 10 as well as a corner sofa. There is an additional separate lounge area just off the kitchen and dining area. This separate lounge area has two sofas with french doors out to the garden where there are a table and chairs and sun loungers. If all 8 of you were in the smaller lounge area then of cause this would have been a bit of a squeeze. Most of our guests prefer to use the two lounge area's so they can spread out. The kitchen is a standard cottage kitchen with a standard sized oven and hob, with a washing machine, dishwasher, and a large fridge freezer. Both our lounge area, kitchen and dining areas are well documented on HomeAway with photographs. We apologize if there were some weeds as you drove into the courtyard which we have now addressed. As for the factories, these are well screened by hedges and are painted green so they blend into the background. You can only see the back of one of the factories as you drive into the Courtyard. This industrial estate used to be part of the whole estate of The Whitehouse and was influential in the second world war. It produced the landing lights for runways in the world war 2. Malden Harley used the live at the Whitehouse and this is why the industrial estate is named after him. We are sorry you will not be returning to stay with us at Whitehouse Cottage and hope you find a more suitable property for your next long weekend away. Kind regards Fleur and Paul

Would come back any time

Wir waren zu siebt eine Woche lang im Whitehorse Cottage und haben die Geräumigkeit sehr genossen. Es war sehr praktisch, dass so viele Badezimmer zur Verfügung standen, so gab es nie Wartezeiten! Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gab uns gute Tipps für unseren London-Trip, der ganz praktisch nur wenige Minuten vom Haus entfernt am Bahnhof in St Neots begann. Geschirr und Besteck waren ausreichend vorhanden, lediglich eine gute Pfanne fürs Full English Breakfast fehlte.

Great getaway

Lovely stay at the White House Cottage

We had a lovely weekend stay at the White House Cottage. The property was clean and well maintained with plenty of room for five adults and two children (having booked the additional bedroom). Fleur was so welcoming and provided excellent customer service when we did have a small issue during our stay. I would recommend the property for family groups looking for somewhere to stay with a comfortable, cottage feel.
