Restful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Have stayed and enjoyed the Lakehouse on several previous occasions. This was the first time during the winter months. Very cozy and quiet. Perfect place to recharge and rest. Very well appointed, as expected. Very much appreciated.

Threepeat retreat

  • 5 of 5

I've had the good fortune of staying at the Lakehouse of Willow Shores-Birth on three occasions and its certainly by no accident. The property is extremely well maintained and the attention to detail is noticable. It's loaded with the trappings you'd take for granted at home and better, the subtle extras one would find at a nice hotel. My third visit won't be my last.

Excellent accommodations

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at Willow Shores and we anxiously await out third. Home provided perfect end to two golf days; plenty of space and kitchen equipment to create abundant meals. This year we were even able to fish a bit on the front and back ends of the day. Thanks much!

Peaceful, family vacation...that is tough to say when you travel with three kids, ages 5-16 y.o.

  • 5 of 5

This is exactly the vacation my family needed to end the summer! The whole family enjoyed the outdoor activities of fishing and canoeing/kayaking. (The life jackets were readily available.) The first day we fished from the backyard dock and the next day we went to Derge Park to fish. My husband and kids took the canoe/kayak. I walked less than a quarter of a mile to the park; I beat them to the park and took great pictures of them arriving at the boat dock. The house has modern amenities and is well equipped. We were able to watch the Olympics because of the dish/satellite t.v. Judy is very attentive! She brought a new coffee pot and single-serve coffee maker when the coffee pot in the house did not work. The family room is full of board games and my younger kids enjoyed our family game nights. We also built fires in the fire pit with wood provided. "Old" Beaver Dam is worth a visit! You will find a grocery store, cinema, restaurants, etc. I, also, drove to "new" Beaver Dam to buy fishing license from the Walmart; it was approximately a 20 minute drive. We would highly recommend the Birch Lakehouse of Willow Shores and Judy's great hospitality!
