Very nice apartment in a great location
Alice’s apartment was a good base for exploring Rome for my husband and me. We came for a visit for the first week in January and it was cold but lovely sunshine, and the apartment nice and warm. Lovely to stay in Trastevere but not in the crowded touristy part; close to bridges to the Palatine, the ghetto and Testaccio. Everything is in walking distance. Checking in and out was easy and Alice and her husband were very helpful! We would recommend staying here.
The Perfect Rome Experience
This flat is located on the cutest cobblestone street in the area of Trestavere that is away from the tourists but has 3 of the best restaurants in the whole of Rome. The locals frequent this neighborhood and there is even a small market and bar just below it. It is right next to one of the most beautiful churches, St. Cecelia. The flat itself is amazing...2 large bedrooms and a small adorable kitchen. You will wake up to the most gorgeous sites of Rome out your window and Church bells. The owner Alice and her mom, Eva, helped us so much with the how to of getting around Rome. The only negative is that it is up 3 flights of stairs but you will learn that Rome is full of these situations....be ready to climb and walk everywhere. I spent an entire month here and I was so glad I chose this flat. It was perfect!!
thank you very much for your review. I am glad you had a pleasant stay in Rome!
It was a pleasure to host you and you are very welcome to visit us in Rome whenever you can.
All the best,
Eva & Alice
Clean & well located.
No living room, but the two bedrooms were very comfortable. Lots of nice extras provided - like a bottle of wine & snacks.
Thank you for your review Tania!
It was a plreasure to host you and I hope to meet you again in Rome.
Excellent Beds with little touches!
We were only in Rome for 4 days and this apartment fit our needs beautifully. This is a quiet neighborhood and the beds were the most comfortable I've had in Eurpoe thus far, which made for a great night sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The owner had a bottle of wine, box of pasta, sauce, olive oil, salt, pepper, chocolates, toast, coffee and bathroom necessities. The little extras really made our stay easy. The unit has roomy 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and kitchen but it fit our family of four perfectly and did not feel tight. I highly recommend this unit and we will stay there again during our 3 year stay in Hungary. Thank you.
Thank you for you review. I am happy you enjoyed your stay in my apartment and you liked the neighborhood. It was a pleasure to host you and I highly recommend you as polite and pleasant guests to everyone.
I hope to have the opportunity of hosting you again for your next stay in Rome.
All the best, Alice
Well located beautiful 2bed w shared roof terrace
We spent 5 days in Rome and stayed at Alice's lovely flat. As it comprises two equally sized rooms, it was perfect for us (two grown ups and a child) but would equally have been perfect for two couples.
The flat is right by a number of lovely restaurants while the main touristy area/restaurants are located on the other (western) side of Viale di Trastevere (the main road).
The river is only max 5 mins away and we walked to Colosseum in approx 20 mins (stopping to take photos:-).
Check in and check out was absolutely hassle-free. The flat was clean. Because of the restaurants in the area, there is some noise at night but we were not too bothered by this even though our windows were open throughout the night. Lovely view from one of the bedrooms and the kitchen!
I sincerely hope that this flat is available next time we are going to Rome and I will be telling friends about this lovely, well-located gem:-)
