Luxury villa with private heated pool and stunning sea views.
Luxury villa located in our own olive grove (4000m). With the Taygetos Mountains in the back, you can enjoy the view over the sea and Kalamata. The villa consists of three layors. A private pool with lounge space, the main house (up to 8 people) and can be extended at extra costs with a penthouse (4 people). Possibly 2 field beds available + baby crib. For more than 8 people, an additional amount of €45 per person per day applies. Total maximum of 12 persons + 2 field beds = 14 persons. Due to rising energy prices, we are forced to charge 25ct per kWh based on the joint in/out measurement of the electricity meter.
The main house:
At the entrance of the main house you will find the cloakroom with toilet from where you enter the living room. This floor has a spacious living with fireplace and open kitchen with access to a covered terrace overviewing the sea. The open kitchen is equipped with microwave, oven, induction hob, dishwasher and two refrigerators. The backdoor in the kitchen gives access to the garden with parking. The door next to the kitchen gives access to the sleeping quarters of the main house.
There are two double bedrooms (twin) and one four-bed children's room (two bunk beds) At the end of the hallway there is a large bathroom with two sinks, two showers and a toilet. In the hallway is a linen closet with washing machine. Each bedroom has access to a balcony. The rear bedrooms overlook mountains in the foothills of the Taygetos. The front bedroom has large windows with a view over the sea and the city. All windows and doors in the house are fitted with mosquito nets.
The lounge area
The lounge area is below the main house in the garden. It is the covered part of the terrace (200m) by the heated swimming pool (50m). The lounge area (60m) is provided with sanitary facilities, a bar and of course lovely couches to relax. The pool and lounge area offer great views over the bay and the city. A BBQ place is set up right next to the terrace in the garden. Lower terraces of the orchard are also accessible along this way.
the penthouse
The penthouse is available at extra costs. It consists of a living room with open kitchen, a double bedroom (twin) + double sofabed and a large bathroom with double shower, toilet, and sink. The penthouse has its own hot water supply. The penthouse is surrounded with balconies overlooking the sea, city and mountains. Several balconies are covered.
The penthouse is via an interior staircase connected to the sleeping quarters of the main house. From the garden behind the house, the penthouse is accessible via an outside staircase.
The garden
The terraces behind the house with the shades of the olive trees offer an excellent opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle around the villa. The garden is a 4,000 meter ancient family olive grove with 58 olive trees and some lemon and orange trees. The area where the Villa is located is also known as "oil country" because the olive trees in this part of mani produce much olive oil. The trees are pruned twice a year.
In October, the olives are harvested and pressed directly. Pressing quickly assures all scents and flavors are preserved. Our olive oil smells of grass and banana. In the spring, when she is young, she has a pepper.
The oil is ready to be used and available in both kitchens. In the service area are 20l cans to replenish the stock.
Park
Left of the entrance to the grounds with orange trees and possibility to park 3 cars. Beyond the entrance to the garage left behind the house is also enough parking space.
Under the house is a garage and a service area. The garage is used for maintenance and service work but optionally provides space for one additional car.
There are two stairs at the back of the house next door to the kitchen of the main house. One gives access to the penthouse and the other gives access to the service area. In the service area, the water supply system is situated.
The freshwater storage and the main switch panel for electrics are situated in the garage.
