Fantastic!!!! - Everything you need for the perfect family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We traveled to Jasper Area everyday. The scenic drive is fabulous. As a family of 4 we hiked almost everyday and relaxed in the evening. The house and property has everything you need.

There is a great playground across the street for the kids.

Thank you for the memories.

Cheers

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The house was located in an ideal location close to hiking, cross country skiing and was at the foot of a mountain. The drive to Jasper was easy as many of the places we wanted to go to were located between the house and Jasper. It had everything you could want for cooking for a family, unlike some other rentals we have stayed in. Darren was very helpful and pleasant in our communications. I would highly recommend this property.

Great house with excellent kitchen and facilities

  • 3 of 5

Comfortable and clean; great kitchen with lots of utensils and cooking equipment. Only drawback is distance from Jasper as it does add a lot of travel time.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed our property. In order to help visitors with their planning, I have clearly laid out in the description of the property and surrounding area the distance to the Jasper townsite. Most of our guests stay to enjoy the area and many of the sites and hikes can be found close by. I appreciate the comment though so that other visitors can make an informed decision if they prefer to have their stay closer to Jasper town.

the property was a nice neat quiet retreat with a beautiful view and backyard!

This property was exactly what my large family needed after a long day. One of the days was a rain out day and we all lounged around played games and just chilled. It was perfect. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious. Plenty of kitchen counter space as well. Very well maintained!

The owner was very pleasant to deal with! Thanks Darren!

Clean house. Even lots of hot water for 7 people, dishes, and washing. Nice quiet location. Could use bunkbeds. Lots of wildlife. Great biking and hiking. All inclusive except food. Great to meet you, Darren! Thanks much!

Fabulous place to be with kids......

  • 4 of 5

I booked this house for a little vacation with two teen grandkids from BC and three (ages 4 -10) from Alberta...plus two moms and Grandpa and I. It was as described in the listing. There was enough room for everyone (we brought an extre air mattress). and the park across the street was well used....plus the large back yard for water gun fights. The home is well supplied with kitchen needs, towels, and consumable items (soap, paper towels, dish soap, spices, etc.). We did day trips to Jasper, Meite Hot Springs and the beach at Kelly's Bathtub (less than half and hour away). I enjoyed a walk with the 'ghosts' of history in what was a bustling coal mine town in the early 1900s.

Brule is a historic hamlet with 52 residences and many amenities. There's a community league area with a hall, ball diamonds, picnic areas, a hockey rink, fire pits and a play ground. It even has it own volunteer fire department!

The town is located just a couple of minutes from the Athabasca River, Brule Lake and the famous Brule Sand Dunes. We are surrounded by trees and an abundance of wildlife, such as elk, deer, moose, cougars, bears, foxes, wolves, coyotes, and many other small varieties. There are extensive birds varieties too numerous to list, but who serenade us every morning in the warmer months. A little farther away, around 20 minutes, is the town of Hinton with enough shops and services to ensure that you are never without supplies. 15 minutes away are 5 lakes that offer boating, kayaking and fishing. There are several horse adventure companies also just minutes away, as well as rafting adventures. An amazing adventure also awaits you at Ogre Canyon, a 4 km hike at the base of Jasper National Park.

A short drive takes you to Jasper National Park gate. The park has more things to do than can be included in this narrative, but examples include skiing at Marmot Basin, some of the best cross country skiing land in the world, Miette Hot Springs, world renowned Jasper Park Lodge golf course, Athabasca Falls and of course the town of Jasper itself. Surrounded by numerous mountain fed lakes and mountains, the town of Jasper is the jewel of the Canadian Rockies. Considerable effort has gone into ensuring that Jasper Town retains its charm, with restrictions on commercialization and overbuilding. This results in an experience that is consistent with its natural surroundings. The drive to Jasper often sees mountain goats. elk, moose, and bears like the ones on the pictures
