Clean and extremely spacious

We visited as a group of 8, 6 adults and 2 children (10 years old). The villa was beautiful, clean and exceptionally spacious. The owners could not do enough, their hospitality was very welcoming and nothing was too much. There is a lot for the children to keep themselves entertained with, hide an seek being their favourite, with so much space available to them. The village is about 10/15 min walk and has some nice taverns and restaurants. The people are extremely friendly and the beach is very clean. The weather wasn't hot but it was pleasant during the day, needing sweaters / cardigans in the evening. Overall a great break and we would most certainly visit again.

Almyros Villa

Very nice villa,no pedestrian access to town or beach as the road to town is narrow and dangerous. Taxi services were excellent TRAITORAKIS TAXI AND TOURS.

Lovely villa but…

Lovely stay at this villa. Lots of room for our group of 8. Beds were very comfortable and grounds are super. A couple of points - swimming pool is 1.7m deep with no shallow end which made it difficult for the children. Cleaners also came in at 9.30 on two days and we were expected to leave the villa while they were in. And on the last day, the pool man and grounds maintenance men came in at 8 meaning we couldn’t use the pool or sit in the garden on our last morning. So five stars have been reduced to four. But overall, villa was clean and was a good base.

Sauber, großzügig, toller Pool

Wir waren mit 9 Erwachsenen und einem Baby da und sind sehr zufrieden. In den zwei Wochen unseres Aufenthaltes wurde 3 Mal das komplette Haus gereinigt. Als die Frösche sich im Pool "vergnügten", haben wir Bescheid gegeben und es wurde sofort jemand zum Reinigen geschickt. Das Haus ist ist gut ausgestattet mit Sandwich-Toaster, Toaster, Saftpresse, Mixer, Mikrowelle, Pürierstab und natürlich alles was sonst so in die Küche gehört. Sitzgelegenheiten gab es in der Küche, im Wohnzimmer, im Esszimmer und am Pool sowie unter der überdachten Außenterrasse. Schaukel, Rutsche und Wippe für die Kleinsten ist auch vorhanden. Das Objekt ist für 11 Leute ausgelegt und das passt auch so. Wir können es definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Perfekter Familienurlaub

Das Haus ist sehr schön und großzügig. Ein besonderes Plus ist der schöne überdachte Außenbereich mit Tischkicker, Billard und Grill. Der Pool war bei unserem Aufenthalt im Oktober schon recht kalt, wir haben ihn aber trotzdem gern und viel genutzt. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge.

A dreamed holiday

The villa was better then we expected, it was a dream, very clean and had everything you need it. The communication was excellent. Konstantina was very very helpful and she gave us the best recommendations. We will definitely return to villa Almyros. It was our dream holliday.

Excellent villa

There was 9 of us staying at this lovely villa. The pool table area is fantastic and the pool is great (1.7 metres deep for the entire length). Communication was great leading up to and during our stay. 15 minute walk into town. Nice quiet location. Would definitely recommend, great value for money.

Lovely villa & location

11 of us rented this villa for 1 week, it was a great location, the villa and surroundings were lovely. It was so spacious we all had plenty of room. Chrissy was fabulous and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again when visiting beautiful Crete.

Perfect family holiday

Everyone was catered for from the young adults to the 20 month baby and myself included. Beautiful villa, everything we had hoped for. The pool and gardens regularly attended throughout our visit. We will be returning. Perfect place to unwind

Lovely holiday home

Wow, what can I say, just came back from a fabulous family holiday staying at Villa Almyros in Georgioupolis in Crete, I was in contact prior to our stay with regards to high chair and late check out as our return flight was not till late evening, the family that own the villa were so helpful, allowing us a late check out and advising us where to visit, as we had a delayed flight we arrived very late, the owner met us and the next morning took us to the town for some much needed supplies. As there were 8 adults and 3 children space was very important, I needn’t have worried, the kitchen/sitting and dining areas were huge with enough seating for all of us, the pool, play area and covered area with Bbq, bar area and games area kept us all entertained. Everything you need is in the villa, it is very well equipped and very clean and modern, The town is about a 15 minute walk, return taxi is advisable at a cost of €6 We had cocktails in Chaplins - these were amazing we ate in a couple of restaurants which were all good, McGintys Irish bar is well worth a visit and a trip to Lake Kournas is a must. on our departure the owners were very accommodating allowing us to check out later and were so lovely. Cleaners were fantastic too, if you need a transfer Giorgos at Ballos travel is a must. Hoping to return again very soon . As we arrived late would be advisable to order shopping prior or a welcome pack

This villa is supplied with everything you need for a enjoyable holiday. A vast array of crockery, glasses, cooking utensils, towels (including pool towels) and small samples of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. The air conditioning in the bedrooms ensures a comfortable nights sleep and the mosquito nets certainly cut down on the annoying night time visitors. The welcoming pack includes 6 large bottles of water some beer, 2 bottles of wine and a small decanter of honey infused raki. The only negative was that there was no shallow end in the pool (2 mts deep all over) which resulted in a non swimming member of our party being limited to sitting on the rather deep steps. This was a minor disappointment to us but had we had small children with us who couldn't use the pool it would have been a disastrous holiday. On checking the Homeaway web site I could find no mention of this which would enable prospective clients to make a more informed choice. The small company who rent this villa were extremely friendly to the extent of giving us a small gift during our stay and couldn't apologise enough about the pool. They promised to contact Homeaway with a view to including the pool depth in the villa description. I wouldn't hesitate to deal direct with Creta Nova Villas again in this villa or one of the others they have in the same area of Crete.

Lots of space for a couple of families especially with teenagers plus a great size pool

Lovely welcome from the lovely Chrissy who popped in a few times over the two weeks to make sure all was well. The cleaning team did a very thorough job and we had a change of linen including towels twice a week. Lots of views over towards the lake and lovely private location - surprise bonus was our lovely Scottish lady neighbour and her pals Beth & Kizzy! Aircon worked fab & decent sunbeds! There is a great choice of options for where to sit out during the day and we drove to Chania Old Town (40 mins), Rethymnon (25mins) Elafonisi beach (1hr 50mins) Almerida beach for PADI diving course (25mins) Samaria Gorge (1hr 20mins) plus Hors Flakion harbour and Frangokastello castle. Only downside was some barking of dogs further up the road but don't let that stop you booking a stay. Lots of supermarkets for food and we got fruit from the side of the road just beyond Pinelopi Appartments. Lots and lots to do so we need to go back! Many thanks

Fantastic villa, brilliant hosts. Perfect for family reunion.

We stayed a week at Villa Elbexx with all the family - 8 adults and 4 children. We all had a wonderful time. The booking was easy and Creta Nova villas were very prompt and helpful in response to all my queries and happily arranged for two cots and two highchairs for the babies. Chrissy met us we arrived and was on hand throughout our stay, helping with taxi bookings. The pool and games room were great fun for all of us and we would all recommend Villa Elbexx to our friends and family. Thank you!
