Delightful villa with private pool in landscaped gardens.

Villa Belfiore sits in the tranquil countryside of rural Pugla surrounded by olive groves and vineyards yet is just 5 minutes from the thriving, medieval town of Oria with its beautiful historic centre, castle, many restaurants and all the amenities you'll need.
The Villa is ideally placed for exploring the wonderful towns and cities of Puglia and also conveniently located between the Adriatic coast and the Ionian coast, each 30 minutes away.
Comfortably sleeping 6/7 with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the Villa has a spacious open plan sitting/dining room with a well-equipped kitchen. There is a further toilet and shower area by the pool all of which is set in mature landscaped gardens with lawns and flowerbeds. The house is located off a quiet road and has a gated driveway with parking.
The shaded verandas directly accessible from the house provide areas to dine alfresco or sit and relax. Both the front and rear verandas have sofas and dining facilities, giving you the option of choosing the coolest or warmest area depending on the time of day. The rear veranda leads to a lower terrace with bbq and seating and from there the tiled walkway edged in lavander guides you under the wisteria-covered pergola to the pool area. Here there are six sunloungers, a shaded gazebo with table and chairs, and an umbrella for shade while cooling off on the steps of the pool. The 10 x 5 m pool, fully tiled in mosaic, provides a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Completely private it is the perfect spot to swim or enjoy the sun. There is also a large area of lawn next to the pool which is great for children to play.
The garden around the house and pool is fenced and walled. Our land extends for a further hectare behind the house and garden where we have an olive grove of 190 trees, a vegetable garden and an area of fruit trees including pears, figs, plums, apples, apricots, lemons, oranges and clementines. Guests are very welcome to wander in this area and help themselves to whatever is in season, includings fresh vegetables from the vegetable plot.
The villa has everything you need to enjoy a memorable holiday with family and/or friends and is a great choice for those looking for the peace and quiet of an Italian countryside location but close to the amenities of a traditional town, with the sights and coasts of Puglia within easy reach.

Pretty Puglian retreat

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in this beautiful and peaceful villa. It is very spacious and well equipped and the gardens and pool are beautiful. A great base to explore this lovely part of the world with many towns and gorgeous beaches within easy drive.

Great pool, beautifull garden. Limited electricity capacity. This doesn't cause any problems if you have 3 of the 4 air conditioners running simultaneously. Michael was a friendly host, lives next door but was invisible and modestly present if you need him.

Very nice house in the middle of olive trees with a splendid swimming pool

We really had good holidays in this place ; mike is very friendly and gave us all the details to discover the area. The swimming pool is a very nice place to relax in very quiet to have peace. Oria is a very nice village to discover ( old castle ) and with nice restaurants

Everything you could want for a relaxing holiday

6 of us stayed here for 10 days and we wish it had been longer . Plenty of space for us all . Fantasic pool area. Great hosts - always available if you needed help . You definitely will need to have a car if you stay here - especially to visit the beautiful beaches. Will hope to stay here again in the future . Thanks Mike and Annette for everything

Beautiful house with great outdoor space

We have really enjoyed our stay at the house in Oria. The house was exactly as described. The outdoor space is really great, there is space to sit in the sun as well as in the shade. Very big pool also. The welcoming package from Mike was very nice and Mike was always available if we had any questions. We recommend this house when travelling to Puglia.

We had a fantastic fortnight at this beautiful villa. All 7 of us were very comfortable. It is very attractively set up and decorated. Kitchen is well set up and BBQ easy to use. We particularly enjoyed the landscaped garden with beautiful planting and shady nooks and crannies to sit. The pool is larger than usual and was very popular with our adult children. Mike was very friendly and helpful even booking a restaurant for us for a special occasion. It was a fantastic place to explore the many interesting towns of Puglia and to just sit and relax. Nearby Oria was very busy in its medieval festival but once we discovered the free car park in the centre it was a charming and non touristy place to visit for dinner. All in all one of the best villas we have stayed in. A thoroughly relaxing and interesting time had by all. Thank you Mike!

Just returned from a lovely stay in fantastic unspoilt part of Italy. The villa was everything we expected. Very well equipped . Home from home. Mike and Annette where very welcoming and really helpful at suggesting places to eat and visit. The beches are ideallic and Oria is enchanting. Only negative thing was the mosquitoes which prevented us from being able to make the most of the pool.

Beautiful getaway in peaceful Italian countryside

We had a wonderful 2 week stay here. Mike and Annette were incredibly helpful and sorted everything we needed, while giving great recommendations. The villa was very well equipped and spotlesssly clean with a great kitchen and lovely bedrooms. What truly made our trip, however, was the villa’s stunning outside - from picking fresh fruit and veg in the garden to lounging by the stunning, large pool and eating dinner on the terrace watching the sun go down with a glass of local wine - it was a truly relaxing holiday! We definitely hope to return here and to the beautiful town of Oria and explore the area more - the villa was so lovely and the weather so hot, we didn’t venture far!

The villa to rent in Oria!

Super paradise for a quiet retreat in Puglia! Super comfortable and clean! You get a resort feel in your own villa! Very easy to get to when Mike sends you a pin location of the villa. Nice welcoming package including 6 bottles of water because the water from the well is not suitable for drinking (we drank some anyway getting in and everything was fine). Try Spiaggia di San Pietro in Bevagna, wonderful beach on the west coast (30 minutes) and Ostuni for drinks and dinner is a must! For the rest, we enjoyed cooking on the BBQ at the villa and enjoying the sunset in the pool! Thanks for a great week in Puglia! We never know, we might be back :o)

Outrageous Oria in Puglia

The pictures reflect exactly what this property has to offer. It was beautifully designed and landscaped. We walked among beautifully landscaped gardens as we went to the pool. The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily. The kitchen was stocked well and we actually were able to eat some fruit that was on some of the trees in the garden. The owners were so available and when an issue popped up the response was immediate. This is a rural area but just what we needed to restore our souls and get us away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. We were honored that we were the first Americans to rent this property! Thanks Mike and Annette for sharing your beautiful Oria property with us!

A very impressive property

This is the best villa we have ever stayed in ( and we have stayed in quite a few). We were a family group of six adults and there was plenty of room for all. The rooms are cheerfully decorated (this was what attracted me to the villa in the first place) and extremely well equipped. The jewel in the crown is the pool, to have a pool of this size for just our family was wonderful. The gardens are beautiful, sitting having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the gardens each morning will be sorely missed! The owners, Mike and Annette, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their advice was invaluable. They were always on hand without being intrusive. I cannot thank them enough!

The place to be in Oria...

My wife and myself spent a wonderful week at Villa Belfiore. The pictures on the site only give a flavour of the beauty of the property. We were furthermore impressed by the cleanliness. About our host, Mike. Altough he is living next door, you do not see him, you do not hear him... except if you have a problem or an issue, in which case he appears within minutes and fix whatever has to be fixed... Thank you Mike for your reliability! A last comment for those who, like us, has to do some work using PC's: the wifi is excellent, and we were able to contact our VPN clients without a problem. Will we come back? We definitely hope so... Christine & Luc (Belgium)

Perfect place to relax in beautiful surroundings

The villa was very clean, lovely and spacious, comfortable and well equipped. But for us it was all about the garden, which is beautifully landscaped and packed full of plants. Lots of different places to sit in shade or sun and a pool larger than we usually see in private villas. The owner, Mike, was very communicative despite being on a trip away. The villa is conveniently situated to drive to different places in Puglia - our favourite by far was Ostuni, for the buzzing evening vibe, pretty streets and restaurants. The food and wine of the region was definitely a highlight of our stay! We didn’t find the surrounding countryside particularly attractive as it is very flat and is miles after mile of olive groves, but a drive nearer the coast brings more variety and hills. Previous reviewers mentioned the mosquitoes- my husband suffered a bit but didn’t wear mosquito repellent… if you wear strong repellent, get all the citronella candles etc going and cover up if you’re particularly tasty to mozzies, it’s not a big issue. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed and at home and were sorry to leave.

a unique, charming and comfortable place

The house, with its terraces, beautifully designed and maintained garden, and swimming pool, is truly wonderful. Everything has been carefully thought out, both aesthetically and functionally, with great attention to detail. Two couples can live here comfortably. However, the use of the third bedroom, which lacks its own bathroom and is situated in an enfilade between the kitchen (connected to the living room) and the terrace, may be inconvenient. The kitchen is very well equipped. The condition of the bathroom fittings is slightly worse—it's simply worn out and will likely need replacing soon. The electrical installation for the outdoor lighting requires more urgent attention. Unfortunately, especially after rain, attempting to turn on the lights by the pool or in front of the house often results in blown fuses, power outages, and plunging the house into darkness. Thankfully, Michael showed us how to handle this situation, and resetting the fuses is simple. However, as the issue occurred several times during our stay, it was both stressful and inconvenient. Despite these minor drawbacks, the villa more than compensates with its extraordinary beauty and the rare kindness and empathy of the host. An offer worth recommending

Traumhafte Villa: einfach abschalten

Wir haben unsere Woche sehr genossen. Die Villa ist sehr gut geschnitten, alles auf einer Ebene. Alles im einwandfreien Zustand und sehr sehr sauber! Die Bilder vom Garten sind veraltet: es ist in Wirklichkeit viel grüner! Neben der Pergola am Pool ist ein wunderbares Blumenbeet und die Palmen im Garten sind riesig. Mariangela und Mike haben sich sofort im jede Angelegenheit gekümmert. Wir wurden wunderbar empfangen mit frischen Grund-Lebensmitteln, falls man auf der langen Anreise es nicht zum Einkaufen schafft. Wir können diese Villa wärmstens empfehlen. Normalerweise gehen wir nie an den gleichen Ort. Aber wenn wir wieder nach Apulien kommen, dann am liebsten zurück in diese Villa))) Tipp: Im August steigt beinahe jeden Abend ein Straßenfest in Oria: unbedingt vorbeischauen!!!

Très agréable propriété en pleine campagne

Charmante villa pourvue d'un magnifique jardin avec une très belle et grande piscine (on peut y nager sans problème). La propriété est située en pleine campagne (sans être isolée) dans un endroit calme et proche en voiture de la ville d'Oria. Elle dispose de toutes les commodités qui permettent de passer un agréable séjour : pergola avec table et salon, cuisine extérieure, barbecue, transats à disposition, différents petits coins pour se reposer, vélos à disposition, ... La cuisine est très bien équipée. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. Le propriétaire, Mike, est très accueillant, disponible et bienveillant.

Beautiful villa in heart of Puglia

We were welcomed by Mariangela when we arrived. The villa was just as described and perfectly clean. The garden and pool are immaculate . The pool is a good size ,. we used it every day. . The pool area is lovely, sunny, with loungers and shade too, very well designed.. We went into Oria to the shops , supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The town is beautiful , typical of Puglia . We ate out there and visited several times, . It is not far , easy to park and people were friendly snd helpful. From the villa we visited places in all directions as it is quite centrally located. We have never seen so many olive trees or vineyards. The nearest beaches are stunning with light fine sand and crystal clear water. We could also park easily nearby. We had a lovely fun holiday visiting sites but also enjoying the comfort of the villa. We experienced no problems , we knew we could contact Mike if needed. and Mariangela was nearby. Everything in the villa worked and it was extremely well equipped. An excellent place to stay.

Geräumiges Haus, wunderschöner Garten und traumhafter Pool

Wir haben uns in dem schönen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Mike und Anette haben uns sehr freundlich aufgenommen und uns ein großzügiges Willkommenspaket hinterlassen, dass uns das Ankommen sehr erleichtert hat. Das Haus war sehr sauber und ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts. Es gibt sogar eine Kochmöglichkeit und einen Kühlschrank draußen. Von der großzügigen, überdachten Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick in den hübschen und gut gepflegten Garten und zum Poolbereich. Der Pool ist angenehm groß, sehr gut gepflegt und einfach traumhaft. Es gibt dort einen überdachten Sitzbereich und eine eigene Toilette. Die Kinder und wir haben den Pool während der heißen Tage sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt nicht weit entfernt von Oria, einem kleinen, malerischen und autenthischem Ort. Das traumhafte Meer und viele andere schöne Ortschaften im Salento sind vom Haus gut erreichbar. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit und können das Haus nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank nochmal an Mike und Anette für alles!

To us, Puglia is a unique region with so much to see and enjoy from the stunning beaches, crystal clear seas, to historic architecture, up and coming boutique wineries, and restaurants serving fresh local produce. There is something for everybody.

We live close to the villa and are on hand 24/7 should we be needed and we're very happy to help and advise on anything during your stay. However, we keep a low profile and the pool is solely for guests use.
