Perfect place for a getaway and reset with the family and puppy. The accommodation was clean and had pretty much everything you need. Good location, very peaceful. Thank you!
Excellent little bolt hole in the Sussex countryside
Clean, well-equipped and tranquil property coupled with excellent and friendly communication with the owner. Bonus of a superb tea romm/cafe right next door!
The property was lovely and having a Plant Nursery and tea room nearby was an extra bonus.
The location was perfect for visiting Gardens in the area , which was the reason for our trip.
Excellent property, lovely location, perfect for dropping our daughter to university and then spending a few days with friends in Uckfield.

A lovely holiday home – the perfect break!
Chris and Jo’s holiday home made the perfect base for our short break. The converted barn is very comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. Fresh eggs and a just baked cake made it even more special. The village is lovely and the local Farm Shop a few minutes walk had everything that we needed for our stay.
Our stay during the New Years was great. Nice roomy house (2 adults with 3 kids). Good kitchen with big fridge, oven and everything you need to prepare a good meal.At night time stunning views of the sky, very quiet surroundings. London is 1 hr away, same for the coast. The hosts were very niece, we arrived early but that was no issue at all, the house was ready for us.
Supurb property, spotlessly clean. We had some milk in the fridge on arrival and coffee pods etc. Easy for parking and the accommodation gave us exactly what was advertised. We came down for a wedding but if we ever come down to this area again we'd definitely stay again.
definitely

What a wonderful place. The kids loved it, it had beautiful toys and room for them to move around. We loved it. The place had everything we needed and wished for. Jo and Chris gave us a welcome package that was lovely. Would do it again and recommend it to anyone looking
Had a truly wonderful stay at this delightful property situated on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Mayfield.
The owners are quick to respond to any questions and very welcoming. This delightful cottage, and is even better than the pictures suggest. Had a lovely welcome package from the owners Chris and Jo. Everything we required for our stay in the cottage was provided, along with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding. Could not be happier with our stay and would certainly have no hesitation to come back to stay again.
A lovely, well equipped cottage in the middle of beautiful countryside. We were able to catch up with our family with a bbq on the Friday evening - plenty of space for the 8 of us. Chris and Jo were very accommodating, and left us a very thoughtful welcome basket when we arrived. There are plenty of lovely places to visit nearby - Mayfield and Rye. As we were coming home for a visit from Seattle, the cottage was a brilliant place to remind us of the beauty of the English countryside.
This lovely barn conversion is in a beautiful setting with plenty to do within 1/2 hr drive. It was perfect for our family including a 3 and a 4 year old. It is pleasantly furnished and offers a large open space big enough for the children to play and run around while we kept an eye on them and a perfectly secure little garden. There is also a large open field at the back of the house the children really enjoyed running freely in while admiring all the buttercups. The lovely and very popular little cafe right nextdoor was an added bonus and all in all we had the most wonderful few days there. Highly recommended for young families in particular.
The Finches was a perfect setup for our family. 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. The lovely setting and the layout of the property worked very well for us. We spent several days at the coast and Pevensey Castle, Wilderness Woods and Knockhatch were great days out. Mayfield is a lovely village and we had two nice meals at one of the pubs there. It was a very peaceful location and the owners are very friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend a stay.
We as a family enjoyed our stay very much. The place is located lovely and for is was a perfect point to start visits to Brighton, Eastbourne and more. We recommend it a lot, again certainly for families.
Chris and Jo made us feel very welcome, the property is clean and spacious. It was perfect for our weekend stay while attending a wedding nearby. We really enjoyed the sun in the back garden after being out all day, our one regret is we did not get a chance to try out the garden centre cafe. We will have to come back!
Very cute little cottage and much more room than we even thought! Clean and tidy, great communication with the owners and would reccomend to anyone! We will be back - thanks for having us!
Great location to all the places we wanted to visit...Sissinghurst, Dixter, Charleston, Bodiam. Lovely comfortable cottage in the country. Highly recommend staying here.
We’ve enjoyed 5 days in the Finches, which is beautifully seated on the spacious premises of Chris and Jo. It is a clean and cosy cottage, completely equipped with all you need & more, with plenty of space inside and a nice private backyard. Under the roof of the tea house we’ve spend quite a few hours enjoying a good quality mini pool table. Chris and Jo are very friendly and helpful and we’d recommend this cottage to anyone who’s looking for a comfortable, good quality stay in a peaceful environment.

We had a lovely time at Finches celebrating my mother-in-law’s 90th Birthday! We had huge gusts of wind and the rains came down but we were cosy and relaxed throughout! Will visit again especially to visit the tea rooms and the garden centre.
We had a lovely stay at Finches whilst visiting family and friends in the area. The house was clean and well presented in a quiet location. We all enjoyed the welcome basket with fresh eggs, local jam and delicious cake. Chris and Jo are great hosts and quick to respond to queries.
Beautiful setting and accommodating hosts. The little garden centre and tea room next door is so lovely. Great stay, we would definitely recommended. Thank you!
