Lake Conroe is one of the best fishing lakes in Texas with many species available. It is also a major recreational lake with the south end of the lake (where this Condo is located) stump and vegetation free. Approximately 50 miles from downtown Houston, it is an easy commute for a great weekend getaway! Walden Community boat ramp access is available to launch your boat or boat and jet-ski rentals are available right next door at Walden Marina and on TX 105 approximately 7 miles from the Condo.

Minutes away from great dining at The Walden Yacht Club, Café on the Green or many other local restaurants in Montgomery, Conroe and The Woodlands.

Historic Montgomery (birthplace of the Texas Flag) is just 7 miles away with antique shops, wineries, and great restaurants. The Woodlands and Old Town Spring are within a 45 minute drive.

GOLF – La Torretta is 3 miles away and is open to the public along with 2 other public golf courses, West Fork and Wedgewood, approximately 10 miles away, near Conroe, TX.

TENNIS- Walden has 12 outside courts and 4 indoor lighted courts for you to use during your stay! No partner? Well just show up on Saturday or Sunday morning anytime from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and join in our open-play! Shuffleboard is also available.

GYM- We have a full service gym for your exercise pleasure offering weight machines and assorted classes. Check us out!

WALKING/BIKING – There is a sidewalk that runs the length of Walden Road for your hiking or biking pleasure AND a walking trail near the entrance to the Condo complex!

FISHING – The Texas TOYOTA Bass Classic says Lake Conroe is the best during their October tournament. Come fish on the lake with the friends and family!

WATER ACTIVITIES – There are boat rentals at Walden Marina and other boat and Jet Ski rentals nearby and you have a temporary boat tie up right out your back door! Walden boat ramps are nearby and available for your use and temporary (72 hr) trailer storage.

POOLS – There is 1 pool at this complex and there are also 2 pools at the Yacht Club, one is Olympic Size and one is a kiddie pool, which offer poolside grill service and life guards from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The children can also enjoy the playground!

RESTAURANTS-

WALDEN YACHT CLUB provides fine daily Lakefront Dining featuring a great breakfast/lunch buffet on Sundays. Live entertainment is provided Thursday - Saturday and dress is casual business attire! (DISCOUNT with the RFID Key Card)

At the Café on the Green, dress is casual. Live entertainment on Friday and Saturday!

Donuts are right around the corner at Jack and Jill Donuts.

Walden Road Pizza delivers great pizza right to your door.

There is a local bar, Big Bertha's, within walking distance. There is also convenience stores and gasoline within a mile.

There are numerous other dining facilities of ALL TYPES and FLAVORS within minutes.

B52 Micro Brewery in Conroe is open on Saturdays offering a tour and place to relax!

There are wineries in and around Montgomery.

SHOPPING – There are assorted boutiques, outlets, and shopping malls from 15 to 30 minutes away!

LOCATION – IAH airport is 45 minutes south. The Woodlands is 35 minutes away and downtown Houston is about 60 minutes away.
