Reviewer Comments: If you want to see turtles, in the water and out, this is the place.This unit is in a great location for viewing the cove and shore from the deck. Everything in unit was clean and functional. Included a pair of fins (large) and snorkel mask. Wish they provided beach chairs or back rests but did not.Parking was always available and staff helpful. Would rent again gladly.Recommend Joey's Kitchen at the shopping center for a good meal.

Although downtown Lahaina is gone, we were able to zip line, horseback ride, and have some fun at the mall in Kaanapali. And of course, snorkeling with the turtles in the Cove is always great.

We spent a lot of time in the lanai enjoying the views, watching the Honus come ashore and the whales breaching. On one day we coubted as many as 16 honus Soaking in some sun..The other guests were also very friendly. definitely coming back again here !

Birdseye view of the cove's main habitants, the turtles. Everyday we saw 10-12 turtles arrive and depart the shore. The view of the cove and across to Molokai was fabulous! The grounds are well maintained, and we love Su. It was our 5th visit to Honokeana Cove and we've already booked another trip there for next year!

No place better then the cove

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming here for over 30 years because of the proximity of assess to the magical marine sanctuary.. lately I have witnessed and truly negative change in service with surrounding condos offering little in service,no help other then a call to someone off site. Not at the cove. Su is the manager and if you need anything she gets it done. She is really the on-site mother of the constant quality and the reason guests return every year.

Turtle Cove

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a wonderful location in Napili! Views were incredible. Sunsets were equally beautiful on the clear nights we were there. We made good use of the BBQ's provided by the pool. Did we mention the Sea Turtles? We saw 1-7 each afternoon, resting on the Cove rocks. Napili market was very close and we shopped each day for papayas and apple bananas. Napili, Kapalua and DT Fleming Beaches were close by. Don't forget to visit Kaanapali Beach and restaurants. Thanks to all the Honokeana staff for a wonderful vacation.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was great. We are a family of four with two teenage boys and it was perfect for us. The place was clean and well stocked. The cove had great snorkeling and drive time to other areas, like Old Lahaina, was usually around 15 minutes. It’s only a 10 minute walk to Napili beach which was beautiful and had good waves for boogie boarding. The only downside for us were the outdoor grills other families were using throughout the day. The trade winds blow in the direction of the balconies and often the cooking smell was a little over powering depending on what was being cooked. It would not prevent us from staying there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view of the cove is great as is the landscaping. Condo 202 is a dump in need of major refurbishment. I am surprised that the rental office does not have minimal standards for the units. Obviously the owner of 202 does not or is unable to care for their unit.

Aloha Jerry, I am terribly sorry you were not happy with this unit. This unit is not a dump. It is rented ninety percent of the time with return guests who have been coming to unit 202 for over 25 years. Maybe your expectations were a bit high for our property. This owner takes pride in his unit and is constantly making improvements. The upholstery was replaced this year and the drapes. The owner has more renovations happening this month while we were are closed for six weeks. It would have been nice for you to come to me in the office while you were here to let me know you were not happy or had problems. I can not help if I hear of this after you have left. I try my best to make sure that all guests; return or new are happy with their accommodations. I sincerely hope you will return to the cove for a better experience. I am always available to help all guests; I want them to come back as seventy five perecent do. mahalo, Su

Old Hawaii paradise.

Views of turtles, sunsets, surfers, and even a great squall that blew through. Friendly community, Su will help with anything you need. Property is lush and tropical. We ate bananas off the tree. It is a close walk to sandy beaches but we were so happy in our surroundings at the Cove, we did not venture out much to other beaches to swim or snorkle. Condo is clean and comfortable, and has all you need to cook, blend up some beachy drinks, and relax. Close to Kaanapali, Lahaina for shopping, dining, music etc. Market nearby. We loved this property and will return.

9 Nights at Honokeana Cove

Awesome location - sat on the lanai and was entertained by the turtles in the cove, and surfers catching the waves just beyond the cove - when the surf was high enough. Snorkeling was OK but not great, and is a challenge getting into and out of the cove due to many large rocks - had to be careful not to get hurt. Wonderful beaches neighboring to the north - Napili beach in walking distance, Kapalua Beach next to it, DT Fleming beach further up around the bend. Rental Unit had everything we needed. Personally I would have liked an air conditioner in the bedroom. Although there is airflow through the unit, I find it too hot to comfortably fall asleep. Minor slip-up was they initially gave me a key to the wrong unit - I thought they changed units on me, and the key was for a unit already occupied! Was resolved as soon as I called the manager.

Aloha James, Sorry about the mix up with the key. The surf is up in our winter months. Snorkeling is sort of a hit or miss this time of year. During the summer months the cove is like a lake; awesome snorkeling. Air conditioning is normally not needed here in Napili; the Trade winds keep us cool.
